I've come here a few times and it's right near VCU and a bunch of other places. Parking is a bit of a challenge so prepare to walk there. They're pretty much always busy with 2-3 people working there. That didn't surprise me because I read some reviews before going. But with that being said, if you have any type of time constraints please don't go here, even if you have an appointment. The place is pretty small so there is barely room for you to wait to receive your service. Sometimes they will greet you sometimes they won't. I see them interact super well with some of their regulars that they know by name so I know they've got the service and friendliness in them I guess they don't "waste" it on just anyone. They have a decent assortment of colors and do some of the more "modern" designs. I've gotten a glow in the dark polish before that ended up being okay. One of the people, I believe to be a student a VCU is pretty talented and does great work but she's not always there. The others are kind of inconsistent. I had my nails done by one person and painted my another and the younger girl who painted them did not do a good job. They will charge your for your shape and for a cut down which is common but what really blew my mind is that I was charged for not getting a cut down because my nails were "kind of long". So they sprinkle in fees when they can. I'm not a huge fan after my few experiences and don't think this is the shop for me.

Although, friendly staff, I hate my nails, very thin, she kept filing to point of no return to be long enough for coffin design nails and design looks nothing like pic I showed her for reference!!! I tried to voice my dissatisfaction without getting upset to no avail for discount and now will have to go elsewhere to get redone!!! Will not return. Next day update: several of my fingers have file burn so the thousand times I have to put sanitizer in my hands have killed me every time!!! And the edge of my nails are so thin and sharp I keep scratching myself!
I usually don't post bad reviews, but the experience here was absolutely horrible. The person doing my nails said himself that he was going to rush, he was smoking while doing my nails, and he got gel polish all over the cuticles and my fingers. The worst part was that he filed my cuticles extremely roughly to the point where they were bleeding and raw. I have literal scabs around all my nail beds from this!!! Will not be coming back
Two stars is fairly generous to me. My first time coming here I had made an appointment in the morning. When I arrived the store wasn't even open. I called and the owner answered saying she was stuck in traffic and that she could see me and that I should wait. I said no and went to another nail salon due to the inconvenience. The second time I came (which I shouldn't have, should have Ubered somewhere else) the manager told me it would be a 30 minute wait. A "30 minute wait" that turned into 1 hour and 30 minutes. Trifling. Coming from customer service it's best to be as honest with your customers. If your getting "backed up" communicate that. And be accountable towards your customers if they have had a bad experience. I expressed my concerns to the lady doing my nails and she said they always get backed up on the weekends, so basically even if you have an appointment don't expect to get your service done at that time which is new to me. After I finished my nails the lady told me to speak to the manager and when I did she denied my first experience and then later said if It did happen it was a long time ago. No accountability and just a 10% student discount. My time wasn't worth the $32 for a gel pedicure. However, the young lady did do a good job! (In picture) I understand there are more pressing matters going on in the world, however when it comes to your business you must be considerate of other people's time as I am considerate of your art and business. Invest in more staff on the weekends as well because your employees seem overwhelmed.
The pedicure I received was great! The technician was friendly and efficient and made sure I was comfortable the entire time. The price was really fair and I didn't even have to wait. The salon is small and I went on a week day in the middle of the day. I would recommend making an appointment if you plan on going during the weekend. This was my first time at this salon and I'll definitely be back! 10/10 definitely recommend!
Not the best, not the worst. Pros: great pricing and the staff is always friendly, and they work fast on your nails once they start. Cons: an appointment doesn't really do anything for you. The only times I've been able to be sat right away was when I looked on google to see the slow times of the day, and scheduled my appointment for the slowest time. If you come at a busy time you can expect to wait about 30 minutes (sometimes even longer) even with an appointment. They don't take into consideration appointments when walk ins come in and overbook themselves. Also, it's kind of luck of the draw for who does your nails and their skill level. One young vcu student with long straight brunette hair does nails incredibly, as does the woman who I think owns the place. I would trust them with super glammed out acrylics... but everyone else that works there I would only trust to do basic gel or regular polish nails. I'm used to parallel parking in the city, so that's not a negative for me, but some others may not be. So just know they don't have any parking, street parking only!
Second time coming here and again was so impressed had the dip powder taken off and did a gel manicure, Jessica was amazing ! Didn't schedule an appointment and just walked in, was seen within 5 minutes per usual!
I'm spending the summer at VCU for an internship. Naturally, I'm huge about getting my nails done. This time I was really serious about it because of how much I'd be interacting with people and how many miles I'd be walking around campus on days that we have work. One of the students I supervise told me about this place when I complimented her on her nails! I didn't make an appointment, and instead walked in on a late Monday morning. I was greeted by Ann (Anh or An, spelling is probably wrong, my bad!) and she went to work on my nails right away. She is SO sweet! We talked about our siblings and I met her son. We also talked about how she bakes as well. For my first time, she made me feel SUPER comfortable. She did my gel manicure which I love. Mary did my pedicure, and I love it as well. I noticed one of my nails had a weird look to it, and I asked her about it and she said it was a fungus (lol, yikes). But she suggested a certain type of medicine/cream and that I wear sandals instead of shoes. I danced a lot growing up so I know the nails on my feet aren't that great but by the end of the pedicure I felt so much better. Also, if you bring your VCU ID you get a discount! I definitely plan on coming back to this place while I'm in Richmond. Don't let the appearance of this place fool you. Though it's not big inside, the place is warm, welcoming, cozy, and clean.

Allowed to walk in, prices for a pedicure range from $35-60. Unique extras. I got the jelly pedicure with regular nail polish and it felt amazing! Massage chairs and super relaxing vibe! Really nice staff. This will be my new go-to! read more

This place is awful if you want regular polish nails! They do not care about giving you a proper service since it's a "cheaper" option (I am sensitive to gel polish). The whole appointment was 15 minutes max and you can see why from the pictures. The lady barely took off my old black polish off correctly before painting on the red. She didn't even offer cuticle service. Left so many blank areas near the cuticle and that's even after I complained and she "fixed it". I would not have paid for the service if they hadn't already charged me and asked for tip even before starting. Sadly it was for an event and I just went home and took them right off. Also forgot to mention but I got home an hour later and the terrible polish was still not dry. I will not be back and do not recommend this place. read more

Jenny was awesome! She humored my requests to file down the length on the thumbs so I could use my hands easier and I could not love my nails more than I do right now. Will definitely come back! read more

I went in for a pedicure. The young lady (D) was very polite but she did not have experience in the field. She scrubbed my heel so much it felt raw. She had polish everywhere. The other workers/owner kept looking but ignoring the look of disappointment on my face. I will NOT be returning. read more

Made an appointment for 5:30, had to wait for 10 Mins, but well worth the wait! Small intimate shop with great music. Very clean, when u enter everyone is required to wear a mask and wash their hands. Loved my nails!!!! Lovely and quick service. read more

I've never posted a bad review in my life cause I've been in the service industry for many years and understand how difficult and stressful it can be for many, but I felt the need to do this to warn others who are thinking of ever setting foot in this salon for a nail removal. It sounds like a very simple service and normally it is, but for some reason the nail tech that took care of me made it look like the most complex thing she's ever done. I was in there for an hour getting my nails removed when it normally takes about 15 minutes at other nail salons. The nail tech was extremely rough and drilled my nails down so thin to a point they all started hurting badly. Now even the water pressure feels awful on my nails and they're extremely bendy i cant do anything with them. I was clearly extremely upset but still paid for the service. It was only $10 but i'm gonna have to spend that x3 on nail products to get them back to how they used to be. read more

Absolutely THE WORST nail salon I have been to. I got a pedicure, an hour after I left the the nail polish still haven't dried. They blamed it on me not getting gel nail polish which is absurd!!! They said they would repaint only two of the nails but that's pointless if their all thick and won't dry. I had them take off the polish since the wouldnt re do them . WORST NAIL SALON EVER read more

Excellent excellent experience here. My go to Nail Salon. #1 actually. I got to Anna a lot & a girl with blonde hair. She's slightly tall. I love the staff and the work . I only get full sets / fill-ins / & pedicures . Definitely customer service oriented. read more

I made an appointment and still had to wait 30 minutes when I showed up. I had scheduled a pedicure and full set and the woman immediately started rushing when I sat down. She put my feet in her lap and tried to polish them without ANY pedicure services and I had to stop her to ask for a full pedicure and she seemed annoyed. Then she attempted to do the same with my hands, getting extremely rude when I asked for her to cut my cuticles, saying anything beside just pasting the nails to my natural nail just so was an additional charge. At that point I had to leave. My worst nail salon experience to date. read more

As soon as came in the door I was attended to right away with where the restroom was and picking my color, and lots of communication . Also no overwhelming fumes! Check them out. read more

I have been here a few times now and I absolutely love them. The owner has done my nails each time and she is fantastic. They do stay busy, so if you can make an appointment, that's probably a good idea. I went to another salon and showed a picture of what I wanted. Turns out it was ombré and they said they don't do ombré. I came here and she did an amazing job. It looks IDENTICAL to the photo I showed her. I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS SPOT!!! read more

Had a great experience here! I didn't have an appointment but if you go when they're not busy, the wait will be about 15-30 minutes. Julia did my nails and was super gentle and made sure I got exactly what I wanted! You can choose the colors or show them a picture of what you want. The shop is clean and nice. The owner was also really sweet and you get a student discount so that's a plus! Definitely recommend if you're around the VCU area. read more

This place is well decorated and the customer service here is genuine. The people doing the nails make sure you are comfortable and that the outcome of your nails is to your liking. They try there absolute best to match the kind of look you are going for. All of my friends get there nails done here and I've never heard of a bad experience. There is a student discount if you are a VCU student. I want to talk about something I've seen when I do come to this salon. It frustrates and disgusts me on how there are some customers here that are completely rude to the nail techs. Like girl ... they are helping YOU to make YOU look good and feel good about yourself. There is no need for disrespect towards them. Don't act like it's funny being rude it's just immature and impolite. Other than that love this place the people and the experience read more

I absolutely love this nail salon. I have been getting acrylics pretty much nonstop for about 3-4 years now. Because of this, I've been to many different salons/spas. Since I moved to Richmond recently, I tried out this salon by recommendation and was very happy with the nails. The atmosphere of the building is nice and it is appropriately decorated and clean. It is also affordable and the staff is friendly. read more

A friend recommended this place and I wasn't disappointed. I showed my tech a picture of what I wanted and she replicated it exactly. The shop is small with only 3 people working so it takes a little longer than usual and with the student discount it's worth it read more

I had a great experience here! Ann was careful with my nails but still very quick. I was in and out of the salon within 30 minutes and I got an entire full set done with no appointment. Great prices, great atmosphere, and friendly people! I will be making this my home salon. read more

I have never written a bad review in my life, however after today I felt as if I needed to say something. I stopped in to remove my old dip nails and get a new gel color. The nail technician I had did not like any of the shades I picked. She also mentioned my nails were too short for just a regular color. I didn't think so - I try to keep them short as I work a labor job. She then said she could do something for Valentine's Day. It ended up being an acrylic set with a beautiful design. However, when she was working on the nail there were multiple times where she cut me with the drill or nail file. Both ended up bleeding during the service and after. I felt bad & did not want to interrupt the service, I did say how it hurt though. I was also very upset to have to pay $70 for the full set with two points of being hurt. The design is fun but I really will think carefully about going here another time. read more

every time I come into bling nails studio they are always super friendly! this was my first time getting acrylics and the guy who worked on my nails took his time and answered questions i had. i've only gotten gel manicures before from this place, but i think now i'll be going back just for acrylics. i love how they came out! read more
