Finding good salons is always a challenge, and I took a chance on Bijou. Salon is large and clean with a large selection of services and color choices. My friend and I were walk-ins and were accommodated promptly and they offered beverages. I decided on a dip manicure and went about with receiving the service. I don't usually have issues with dip polish, but after 1.5/2 weeks, my nails have started to chip and come up off the nail bed. Other experiences have lasted over 4 weeks and I'm typically pretty hard on my nails. I did not receive any cuticle treatment or anything else of the likes even with the basic manicure package. I also felt like the price for what I paid was a bit steep (yes I'm aware of the inflated prices of service literally everywhere) for it to especially not last. I'd be willing to give them another shot, maybe I just a bad first time! read more

I got a pedicure from Kayla yesterday and it was fantastic! I have always struggled getting a pedicure I am happy with and Kayla went above and beyond. Will definitely be back! read more

Very friendly staff. Not to mention, the nail polish has stayed on for over a month now and looks as good as the day I got it. Thank you!

Look no further, this is the spot! My nails are perfect, and they made sure they took the time to do so. 11/10 recommend

They took me in as a walk in last minute. Which I appreciated! Pedicures started about $45 which is more than I am use to paying but for the area it's actually reasonably priced. My lady did a lot of lotion and massaging my legs, so I did think it was worth it to up-charge to the OPI pedi and get the hot rocks. She kept asking if I was comfortable and if I liked the color. The tip wasn't forced at the end like most places, which I was shocked about so I did use Venmo to tip because I was happy with service. -about a week later and my French nails are still looking great! read more

I was out and about for a me day. After my brunch I needed a pedicure. I called maybe 1.5 hours in advance and they were able to squeeze me in for an appointment. I parked on the street and walked over. Once inside I was seated and offered a drink. I opted for water. I picked out a color and my pedicurist went to work. He was very meticulous throughout my entire pedicure. My polish job was done perfect and no polish was on the outside of the Nail hitting the skin. While sitting there, I took notice to how kind a lot of the staff were two customers . Whether that meant pushing in somebody's chair or helping a blind woman pick her color out. It was very welcoming. The pricing was very reasonable for the options that I chose. I generally get the crème de la crème of pedicures from time to time and that's what I opted for today. If I have to be in the area again, I would definitely consider coming here. read more

I started coming here shorty after it opened a few years ago. It was so clean. And it's still clean. Very organized. Tina does my "Builder Gel" and she does a beautiful job. What really sold me on this place was their honesty. Several weeks ago they over charged me and I would have never known. However, the next time I came in, they told me their mistake and reimbursed me. read more

just came in for appointmenT , had to check in booked for manicure and pedicure ... well I was getting serviced the had many people come in offered me nothing to drink but treared everyone else great they did my toes then said they will not be able to do my nails even tho that's what I booked they said this because they had an appointment I was the only black woman the felt like nobody cared it was 4:14 and there was no where for me to go at the time for my nails Top of the line bullshit read more

Rating: (depending on how generous you want to be) I came in for the $60 CND Spa Pedicure, but the technician applied a mask that was part of the $80 package without confirming with me first. I was told about the price after the mask was already on, which made me feel pressured to agree. She was nice and did a good job overall, but I don't appreciate being upsold mid-service. Also, she almost skipped the paraffin (which was included in the $80 price) until I reminded her. I wish the pricing and services had been communicated more clearly from the start. I had a set budget, and this experience threw that off. Be aware of what you're being charged for. read more

This is my first pedicure in Richmond so this rating is based on my expectations rather than competition. The staff is very friendly. Without a receptionist someone greeted me immediately and asked me to sign in through the iPad. Besides the basic information you had to choose a service. Unfortunately without knowing what each service level entails or the cost it's not possible to decide. I put in a random choice. I was attended to pretty quickly. A menu was offered after we got started and what I put in the iPad didn't matter. The price for pedicure is separated from the color. I had an OPI Spa pedicure and gel color which come to the total of $65 (tips excluded). I think the quality of pedicure was good. Was a bit disappointed that they didn't spend much time on removing cuticles which I felt much needed. Considering the cost and effect I would say it's more expensive than I would be willing to do on a regular basis. read more

I got dip and gel taken off my hands and feet and the women had took keep asking me to confirm who was the stylist. The woman who did my toes, took off my hand nail polish and she negligently used that spinning tool and didn't care just glided it over my cuticles not giving a crap. She made me have an injury. I'm not the queen but I expect to be treated with some kindness and care. Horrible professional and then has the audacity to ask for tip. Horrible workers! read more

Gel toes were bad the night I got home with bubbling of the polish. I went back and they fixed it with no charge but after a week my toes and nails were peeling. Very friendly staff. Vibe is chill. read more

Unfortunately, this nail salon's service is very, very poor quality. They are unreasonable and unwilling to work with customers, even though I had come many times before and had been a loyal customer. Moving from NYC, I knew that I had to lower my expectations, but I was not expecting it to be this bad. A basic manicure costs $25. Within 2 days almost every single nail chipped due to what I suspect was poor quality nail polish. Instead of offering to just re-polish, I was told that this is what to be expected with a regular manicure. I understand a manicure doesn't last long, but 2 days feels unreasonable at that cost. Pictures depict the amount of chipping that occurred. I HIGHLY recommend not wasting your time or money and going somewhere else. read more

I made an appointment. Showed up five minutes early. Provider then took three people for manicures - with no appointment. I finally am seat with my daughter after a 30 minute wait. They stick my feet in water but not hers. Another 29 minutes go by. I say let's leave. They immediately have someone come and put her feet in water. The pedicure took more than two hours. Why make appointments if you are not going to honor the appointment? The pedicure were awful. We clearly had the new technicians. And we get pedicures every two weeks. It is not as though our feet were a mess. Not worth the $80 per pedicure. A waste of my time. They texted me and asked me to call to work it out. I suggested they call me. Never heard from the salon. Do not recommend. Zero stars. Treat people poorly and horrible result. We both removed the polish when we arrived home. read more

LOVE, LOVE, LOVING Bijou Nail Bar! They're so conveniently located in the Carytown Shopping Center. The Nail Bar itself is very clean and the staff are always very pleasant. Jack has been my go to and he's been great and consistent every time. Anytime I call last minute for an appointment, they've accommodated my requests. They do offer beverages, which is always a nice touch. If you're in the area and looking for a new salon, I highly suggest Bijou! Check them out! read more

My fiancé and I went here to get a pedi and mani. The place was really clean. They played elevator music which I don't prefer but it wasn't bad. I didn't like what they had on TV (infomercials) BUT I didn't ask them to change the channel either. They offered water or coke when we sat in the pedi chairs. The pedi chairs were really comfy. Staff was nice and didn't mind repeating themselves when I asked. They made sure they were understanding any requests thoroughly. They treated the other customers fairly as well. I like my nails short and staff didn't pressure me to get longer nails. I wish the dip wasn't as thick and that she cleaned up some of the skin peeling around my nail BUT I also didn't ask for her to file my nails more of clean the skin. read more

I asked for medium length acrylics and got acrylics that were basically the length of my real nails. I verified the length and then the nail tech shaved them down extremely low. When I expressed how short they were, I was met with attitude. I paid $75 for my nails today and I've never been more dissatisfied. 0/10 would not recommend unless you'd like to cry afterwards. read more

The last time I went there, I was pretty happy with everything. This time was awful!! I feel like the nail techs were just being lazy and trying to rush me out without any concern for how my nails turned out. The one who did my toes especially. She didn't even fill in the acrylic on my big toes! When I asked her to and told her that they have been lifting and they are ready to break off if I don't get a fill in, she responded "no they are not lifting and they won't break off trust me I know". She said I don't need a fill because they "didn't grow out that much". Then when I asked for rhinestones at the end she said "I already put on the top coat. Why didn't you say anything? Do it next time.". I don't even see how that's relevant. She could have still added the rhinestones. read more

Went in as an out-of-towner to celebrate a birthday. The did fine with my daughter's pedicure. However, my SNS dip powder on my fingers was peeling within 3 days. This was because they don't know how to finish a dip powder set without the top layer being gel; I told them no gel, because I'm allergic to the UV light. Fortunately, I have my own nail shop in my town that does a fabulous job with my SNS every month! read more

Love the service here. Great atmosphere and very friendly staff. They really do take their time with what they do.

Came here for the first time and had a wonderful experience! I made an appointment for a full set of acrylics. When you walk in, you check in on a screen which displays the menu so that you can browse all options or add-ons. Jack asked questions every step of the way, took his time, and was very polite. All of the employees were friendly and the salon was impressively clean. You cannot tip on a card payment, but they have an ATM and all take venmo tips as well. read more
