I visited Romantic Nails on 3/22/2025, and it was both my first and my last visit. From the moment I walked into the establishment, I felt less than welcomed. My appointment was at 10:00 AM; however, Vivian had not arrived, and did not arrive until several minutes later. Upon her arrival, I presented her with a photo of what I was looking for in hopes of receiving some guidance based on her expertise, but was directed to an overwhelming array of assortments to 'pick a color' instead. During my 1.5-hour appointment, Vivian managed to muster up three sentences: "Go wash hands.", "What shape you want - square or round?" and "Do you like the color?" Aside from the preceding, there was no dialogue, whatsoever. She managed to communicate with me through extending her hand [presumably] to request mine in return, and/or shoving my fingers down in an effort to express her displeasure when they happened to have gotten in her way. When asked whether I wanted 'square' or 'round' nails, I elaborated that I preferred squoval nails with a square shape and rounded edges - the best way I can describe the look I was met with in response was one of annoyance...it was as though I had lobsters crawling out of my ears. Probably due, in part, to the fact that she used a nail drill to remove my exceptionally healthy cuticles to an excessively unnecessary degree, I was cut multiple times (of which I have attached photos) - never once did she apologize and/or offer any explanation as to why. My left thumb was bleeding to the point that, at the conclusion of my appointment (again, 1.5 hours later), Vivian had to use styptic powder to stop the flow and hide the evidence. I was appalled. It is probably worth noting that as I was bleeding profusely, a brush was used on my hands continuously throughout the process. My concern here is not only the risk of infection to myself, but more importantly the risk to other clients on whom the brush with which my blood came into contact was subsequently used. The nail polish was layered onto my nails entirely too thick - it was both uncomfortable, as well as aesthetically displeasing. Lastly, I paid for a manicure; however, my hands were not soaked, and I did not receive a massage of any kind: What I did receive was a drop of oil and a drop of lotion to rub into my hands myself as I was escorted to the front of the establishment to pay for what couldn't have been a worst experience. I still tipped as a courtesy. Immediately thereafter, I visited a much more reputable establishment and paid for them to undo what I had just paid to get done barely an hour prior. I am not going to advise anyone else pertaining to what they should or shouldn't do, but I will attach photos of the following with date/time stamps for the purpose of encouraging an informed decision: What I presented as a reference photo, my hands three days prior to the appointment, my hands immediately following the appointment, and my hands following the removal of the nail polish revealing the careless manner in which my nails were shaped, as well as the multiple cuts incurred: Please be advised. read more

They do a really great job with my nails, I have made this my go to place now! My gel actually lasts the full 2 weeks and they always look great. BUT PLEASE DO NOT GET WAXED HERE!!! I just watched one of the workers stick the same stick into the wax 6-7 times. If you don't know, this is absolutely disgusting and unsanitary- it can transfer bacteria, diseases, and God knows what else. If someone has chlamydia and gets waxed here and then you get waxed here boom now you have chlamydia wherever you got waxed. She also did not wear gloves while waxing which is a big no no and then didn't even wash her hands and proceeded to go do a pedicure right after... gloveless! Super super unsanitary I don't know if I want to come back even with the great mail job they do. I am so grossed out read more

Romantic Nails is located in the Tuckernuck Shopping Center (great location off Broad Street). I have been going there for 10 years. The salon is clean and they assign customers their very own pedicure kit with their name on it. The staff is courteous and no matter how long you stay away they still remember your name (I went back after 2 years and it was like I never left). The prices are great and I would recommend this salon to anyone. read more

Kelly and the staff are amazing. Please call ahead because they may be booked, but walk ins are welcome.. I love this place because its quiet, relaxing, and if you plan to be a regular, Kelly will prepare tools just for you. The manicures are always wonderful and the pedicures are always amazing. This is my little hideaway in the city... Loves it! read more

This is a little frustrating because I moved here from California. First I must say the facility was very clean. However, long overdue for a makeover. It's not my first time in a nail salon so I'm not uncomfortable with the staff speaking Vietnamese, but it was excessive and very rude. Also there were only two other people in the place and I had to wait 20 minutes for a third employee to show up. I don't know if it's because I'm from California, but I don't understand why on earth it took almost two hours from the time I got here till the time I left. All I got was a gel pedicure. My left foot looks great but my other big toe was cut way too short and at an angle. For $40 plus a $5 tip that's absolutely freaking ridiculous. Didn't even ask what shape I wanted my nails. With that being said,at least look at the shape my nails are before you cut them. The tool she used to shave the dead skin off my toes wasn't properly sterilized it was metal and she didn't disinfect it when she was done. She just threw it back in her plastic box. Waxing another clients eyebrows where she was getting her manicure was also questionable. Not sure if she was double dipping the same wooden stick to reapply wax. I hadn't gotten my eyebrows waxed since I got here 3 weeks, hoping to get them done here while getting my pedi. No thanks! read more

It is so hard to find a place to give you a great pedicure. Romantic Nails is great. You are their customer-one on one. I am goint to tell you up front, YOU HAVE TO MAKE AND APPOINTMENT! That is because they want to allow time for you, and they do. They are preapred for you and take their time. Your feet are not just polished but clean and smooth as silk. Queen is my favorite for pedicures. There is only 3 of the ladies there (whenever I go) and the shop is smaller. They are not super fancy but they treat you like a star. I highly recommend this shop for both nails and pedicures. Let Kelly hook up your nails. Great spot. read more

I am from out of town and wanted to get a pedicure. Wasn't sure where to go, but wanted to go somewhere close to my hotel. I looked on-line and came across Romantic Nails. Saw the 2 reviews that were listed and thought I would give this place a try. It was the best pedicure that I have ever gotten. The person who did my pedicure did an amazing job. It was very relaxing and she took her time. I did not feel rushed at all like at some places I have been to back at home. I will definitely be coming back to this place when I come back for another work trip. read more
