I showed up at 12 for my 1 pm appointment. At 1235 I saw a lady get dropped off at the salon. At 1239 I received a text to come back at 1:30. I was ok with this because things happen. But when I finally get into the nail salon I see the lady that was dropped off was getting her nails done. Then her and the nail tech are having convo as if they are friends. At this point I am heated because it feels as though I was pushed back to fit a friend in. After a while the tech gets a FaceTime/speaker phone call where her & the customer friend begin to laugh talk & chitchat on my time. It started feeling like my time was being disrespected. A business has no idea how far you travel or what your tight schedule may be. I decided that if at 2:30 I was till not being serviced, I would leave. Sure enough at 2:30 I still was not serviced. Wasted so much of my time. I just left. I was later text that If I left it was understood & that I could receive a gift certificate.... um not the point. If you charge $25 after a 15 minute late fee for customers then what do you owe someone after 1 hour of being late? Also, as a black registered nurse who does a lot of networking, guess what I will be saying about this black business....I planned on spending over $100 every time I returned but I guess I will continue the Korean shops as they value my time.

We both got pedicures- the milk and honey option, which was $55 I believe (without tax and tip). Hot stones, scrub, hot towels, amazing smelling lotion, etc. The staff were awesome, so nice and quiet and funny, and were efficient. They did a great job with my calluses and cuticles, and I'm a week out from the pedicure with no chips at all. The store is extremely clean, smells great, is well lit but not aggressively so, the chairs are comfortable, and the equipment all looks really nice. I will say neither of us got gel polish, so I can't speak to that, but my pedicure was a 5 star experience! I'll be back for sure :)

This is truly a one stop shop! Spray Tan - I originally came across scissors because I was going to an early spring wedding and needed a spray tan. I don't put much stock in spray tan booths because it always comes out uneven and splotchy so I really needed someone who would spray it on me. I made an appointment with Allison and she gave me a tan that was even better than I imagined! She went to great lengths to make sure I felt comfortable and everything was done upstairs away in a private area. I was so pleased with the tan I ended up staying and getting some highlights. Highlights - Allison really listened and understood exactly what I wanted for my hair. I got really natural highlights that were so good that the person who did my hair for the wedding asked where I got them done. I was so pleased I brought my very picky mother in for a cut and color. Cut - My mother has REALLY thick hair and she's picky about cut and coloring. I got her an appointment with Simone (different strokes for different folks, I knew my mother would prefer someone who was older whom she felt she could connect with more) She loved what Simone was able to do with her hair as far as thinning and cutting, I don't remember exactly the name of what she did but no matter what you get done Simone is very attentive as well in listening to what you really want. Up-Do's & Make-up - Simone made me feel like a complete princess when I got an up-do and make-up done for a night out. She took extra time to make sure I was happy and the whole look was just right. That said I've also had my lip waxed and gotten pedicures too. They also recommended a shampoo & conditioner that have done wonders for my hair! Plus the hours are great because I can make it after work! I really love the atmosphere, the charm and attitudes that go with the great services. Simone & Allison know me when I come in, they ask about things in my life and offer me something to drink, and it's those small touches that are lost in other places which makes Scissors Hair Studio exceptional.
