I'm very sad writing this update. I went to Bond for two manicures. He was very quick - which I assumed was a good thing and he knew what he was doing - but noticed my nails hurt when using his nail drill to prep the nail. I mentioned he was going fast and it burned a bit, he said that's how he works. I thought nothing of it since builder gel can sometimes burn, and gave him a second try. The second manicure was so painful that when I got in my car my fingernails physically hurt. I have since gone to other nail techs who say my nails are damaged because of this. You can see the two rings in my nails from where he was rough and damaged my nail bed. The spots the rings are at in my nails hurt now whenever they are worked on. The new part of my nails are fine. Be VERY careful if you go here. My nails have another 2-3 months to go before they are healed. I'm heartbroken because his gel work was beautiful, and it was one of the best LOOKING manicures I've ever gotten, but I will not be returning. read more

This is my favorite nail salon in Richmond. The staff are excellent and always do a great job. It's worth the drive and the wait.

I went to KT nails with my 2 co workers for the first time. The other coworker has been going there for a while and wanted us to try it out since we are new to the area. Our appointment was at 5pm I believe. One of us got there on time and they started with her right away. I got there about 7 mins late and had to wait about 15 to 20mins to get started with my nails. My first time, I got the off white, short and simple. I believe the owner did my nails. Honestly I didn't think he paid attention to what I wanted, the shape was wrong and I didn't like it. He kept looking around the whole time to make sure everything was alright with everyone and having conversations with everyone. But it is alright. My other co worker didn't like her nails either. We showed them pictures of what we wanted and we didn't think they look similar. My second time there, I prayed I will not get the owner to do my fill in. I went with the same co workers. We were the first people there when they opened and we got started right away. I got a lady do my fill, I don't know her name. I showed her a picture of what I wanted. She took a picture of it with her phone so she can look at it while doing my nails. I thought that was pretty nice and thoughtful of her. I think she did an amazing job. My other co worker also loved her nails the 2nd time. Jack did her nails and did great. My other co worker showed them a picture of what she wanted and they had a hard time with it, had to redo it over and over again. Jack stepped in later on to help but still couldn't get it right. She hated her nails and ended up going to another place the next day to redo her nails. Overall, my experience has been okay and plan on going back, I was impressed that my nail tech took her time my 2nd time there. Also the place is nice and clean, that's a plus. read more

I was very hesitant to make this review as it was only my second time ever going to this nail salon. However, this second time around I was left extremely disappointed. The lady who did my nails left them lumpy and did not polish them correctly as the nail polish was bubbling the next day. I let the manager know of this issue and was able to get it fixed free of charge. Unfortunately, the other lady who fixed my nail also left them lumpy and bubbling over. I don't under the issue! I have now started to file away at the nail polish because it looks plain ugly. I will not be coming back here, which is unfortunate because I live close by and the workers are polite. The pedicure turned out okay but unfortunately have to give two stars to the toxic masculine gym bro nail tech that told me my pink tips pedicure "wouldn't look good" and was insistent to the point where I changed my Barbie-themed nails and went with something more basic. There are pictures online from their reviews with different color tips so I'm not sure why he didn't ask for a picture or more clarity. Instead, he continued to repeat "it's not going to look good". I don't know if it was due to laziness, lack of creativity, or not wanting to engage with a queer person. It was a weird and subtly disrespectful tone that put a bad taste in my mouth. Took my daughter there for manis and pedis for her college graduation. It was a Wednesday at 4:00, busy time, also because of graduation that weekend. I understand. But you couldn't pay me to go back to this place. Our techs did the bare minimum. My daughter should have been pampered and was instead made to feel like she was being a nuisance. They sat us together for our pedicures but then my gal set me up in between two strangers when there was a bunch of spots where my daughter ended up. She didn't cut my cuticles much, didn't massage my legs barely nor my arms/hands at all, and she certainly didn't prep my fingernails at all because it was a shoddy job to begin with and they were chipping the next morning. By the end of the day, the polish was literally just coming off in whole pieces. Now, I know I don't pay big bucks to get tips and dips or even gels. I don't expect my nails to last more than 4 days at most with a regular manicure. But the next morning? I had showered and that's it, so it wasn't that I was hard on them. My daughter's nails were okay but he didn't cut her cuticles so her tips and her polish looked like it was a week old right after he did it! I can do better than these people and it lasts way longer! The noxious smell, the horrible noise, the constant chatter all got on my nerves, but especially that smell. Cannot be safe to be breathing that in, even for an hour. I couldn't wait to get out of there. Avoid this place. Go anywhere else. I've had bad manicures before but there's no reason to go here when there's a million other places than can surely do better. My feet was rushed.. I got gel polish on my toes and it started coming off a week later from me getting my toes done. Service is not good

I am honestly appalled at this place.. The only plus about my visit was that I was seen almost immediately without an appointment. Everything was going fine until my nails were soaking and the lady doing my nails started cutting HER OWN toenails, she then proceeds to remove my gel polish without even washing her hands. She also tried to use the same cuticle cutter on my nails until I asked her to use another pair. I always get funny bunny as my color - The way that it was being applied resulted in a splotchy mess to the point where another nail technician had to paint my 2nd and 3rd coats and even the result of that was only okay. It still looks very thick and inconsistent. Upon further investigation on my nails I found that there is lint stuck under a layer of my gel polish on one of my fingers. This place wasn't the cleanest and service was 2/10 at best. I would literally recommend anywhere BUT this place. First time coming to this place & there were 6 customers in front of me & I only had to wait 15 minutes. Wait time was very short & everyone was very sweet. UPDATE: called and told them what happened, they redid them for me for free! However, the tools were still not sanitary. I went as a walk-in one morning on my way to work to get a gel manicure. Their tools didn't look like they really sanitized them, they were sitting in a small jar of solution and reused their buffers and nail files for each client. She did a good job painting my nails but didn't let them cure under the light as long as other salons do, which made me nervous, and didn't clean my nails with alcohol before applying the base coat of gel. As soon as I got to the office I was washing my coffee cup out and my polish started peeling clean off!! It came completely off, didn't even have to pick it (see photo below) For $28 and they peeled off 30 minutes later. DO NOT RECOMMEND. read more

I've given this place a few chances now because their prices are great, but each time, I've gotten a full set of gel nails with tips that doesn't even last 2 weeks. This time they started coming off around day 10. A decently applied gel set has lasted me at least 2 weeks in the past - usually closer to 3. The staff are very kind, affordable, and quick. I hate to not return, but I'm not really saving any money if I have to replace my full set 2-3 times a month, before I can even come in for a fill. If you need your nails done at the last minute and don't need them to last or intend to keep them up, then this place is a great deal. If not, I suggest looking elsewhere. read more

I guess I should of been paying more attention to what they were doing and not just assume they knew what I wanted. Or I could have made them redo it. I love getting my nails done here. They take walk-ins and can squeeze me in if I call and make a last minute reservation. I usually get a gel French manicure, with an occasional ledicure. The people who do your nails are always friendly and like to get to know their customers. I usually treat myself a few times a year, but the nail lady always remembers me (which is really nice!). For a gel French manicure, it's $30, which is really affordable and they always do a great job. The pedicure was descent, but the staff are usually not attentive to listen to what client says. It also took two hours, way too long. Easily the worst pedicure I've ever gotten. Not sure why you would ever shape a nail like this. Very minimal time was spent on cleaning the cuticles and dead skin and there is polish all over my skin. Not to mention, they charged me an extra $5 for removing my previous gel polish which was a first. Still, I was under the impression that a regular pedicure is $25, plus $5 for the nail kit (because of covid, so certain utensils aren't shared for multiple people. Fine, I get that), and then $5 to remove the gel polish and was charged $38. Doesn't add up. Anyway, I'm now out $45 (since I'm not a dick, I still tipped) and had to fix the shape and polish when I got home. read more
