To begin, it is advertised as a professional salon and services are advertised to come with consultations. I am not entirely sure what the consultation was supposed to entail but I did not receive anything. Upon walking in the front desk girl was quite off putting and I will say I felt a bit micro aggressed by her. I repeatedly told her I was here for a 2:15 appointment booked in my boyfriend's name (I said his name and how to pronounce it) and she insisted on butchering his name several times. Wasn't a fan of that. Then on came the pedicure, my appointment was scheduled with WanWan, it was going great until it came time to get my French pedicure. I showed her an image of exactly how I liked it and what I received was nothing like it. I tried to show her an example off of he internet and she apprehensively mentioned that the photo is AI and in real life it's never going to be that perfect. I proceeded to letting her know that I get French frequently and I can pull up a photo of what I like my nails to look like. You would think for a 75$ pedicure the techs would be able to mimic a sample photo and not try and convince you it's AI and that you should accept sub par work (I'll add a photo of what I got in the attachments) she asked me if I wanted a solid color instead ... and I mentioned I only chose this shade of pink under the pretenses that I was getting French. She brings over the g colors which while looking at the gel colors and picked one she let me know they may not even have that color. Bear in mind at this point I already had he pink on my toes from the French. She also said she will add the new color on top of what was on my nails which was annoying. Also she asked me if I wanted another design I asked for sample photos of pedicure designs she's done and she had none to show me. She showed me all manicures. She told me she doesn't take photos of peoples feet because she feels weird about it or something and doesn't want to photograph peoples toes. I accepted that, though with consent I don't understand the issue. Anyway as this ordeal continued she both took a picture of the photo of my foot on my phone and then SNUCK a photo of my actual foot in the moment as if I didn't see it. My thing is I didn't care but you made it a thing as to why you don't take photos of peoples feet and then you take a photo of mine without my consent. I let it rock because honestly I was just trying to get out of there but it really rubbed me the wrong way. Overall at this point just annoyed as she tried to redo the tip 3-4x with no improvement. She also cut my grown out toenails all weird so they were no longer perfectly square. Again for $75 you would think the techs are capable of just doing a simple line. Eventually once I spoke with a manager WanWan gets swapped out for Lotus (she was amazing! And she tried her best to make sure I was happy with my mani pedi) wish I had her from the start. I truly felt bad because her whole afternoon got derailed due to this mess. I was so over being there that I didn't even bother getting gel on my hands so just got a clean up mani which also cost $35... all in all I feel like I just wasted 5 hours of my life I cannot lie. A bit frustrated overall but I am happy with how my toes came out (THABK GOD FOR LOTUS). I probably wouldn't come back here if I wanted French, and honestly if you're paying $95 for a service like this I feel like you would expect a certain level of professionalism and capability? Idk. Praise Lotus though. I will say proper customer service would have offered me some sort of discount or something for all the inconveniences but no I was stuck with a $95 bill. Which I paid it but I also had 5 hours wasted down the drain as previously stated I probably won't come back, might have considered it if they offered me something for the inconvenience but all in all it is what it is at this point. All in all way too overpriced for the kind of service you receive.

It's exactly the vibe you want when heading for a self care day. The products they use are 100% house-made and organic. I've had skin reactions before, but never here. As a matter of fact, other spas have left my face looking red and inflamed after facials - I leave here glowing. Now I can't speak to any of the other massage therapists here, but Tsondu is who I see any time I'm seeking a massage. I truly feel like he is a healer in some way. I sat in a pedicure chair for about 10 minutes until they ran my water. The chair was THE best pedicure massage chair I've ever been in, so I didn't mind. My pedicure service began at about 5:25 p.m. and it was over by 5:45 p.m. I've never in my decades of pedicures gotten a 20 minute pedicure. They're usually 45-60 minutes! She zipped through it so quickly, paying no particular attention to the anything. Miraculously, the end result looked okay, so again, I wasn't too bothered. After my pedicure was finished, she started working on another client (taking her sweet time)... and didn't come back to me for a full 50 minutes to look at my nails. She said it was 30 minutes. I corrected her. It was another 10 (a full hour) before she actually started working on my dip. She apologized for the wait, but once again, she zipped through my dip so quickly... a mere 25 minutes when it's normally 65-75! I mean, why work so fast now? There were no other clients. Take your time with my nails and do a good job! She cut my nails way too short. She did next to nothing with my cuticles. And my final result shows ridges and file marks in my nails! She said she could fix it and asked me to come back tomorrow. WHAT?! You want me to waste MORE of my time so you can do what you should've done the first time? Hell to the no! She also told me my toes were dry, so I could put my socks and shoes on. WHAT?! Even I know how long toes take to dry and that socks basically for the rest of the day are a no no! While she was a nice person, what good is nice if you keep me waiting an hour and provide me with a terrible service? Never again. Please, Nancy. Come home soon!

As you can see from the pedicure menu I've posted, there is no indication that this is a 15 minute service. At least call it a "rapid" or "express" pedicure or something. She expected me to know that because it's "cheap" (26 dollars) that it's not a full pedicure and would only be 15 minutes. Never again.

I had to settle for the pink which I didn't want because I didn't want to waste anymore of my time. At the end I paid $155 and they kept demanding tip. I gave $5 and they said "between the three??" And I'm like???? I tipped Kathy very well because I know hard work, dedication, and care but if you give me Mickey Mouse how can you expect tip??? Come on now, let's use our brains instead of having it there for decoration. Thank you Kathy and screw everyone else there!!

I have just read the negative review written on this establishment. I am actually totally shocked that anyone could make such negative statements about such an excellent business. They are obviously a disgruntled customer who must have had a bad day or are upset about something other than this business. I have been a client at KT Nails ever since its inception and a client of this owner for 21 years. He has ALWAYS informed customers upon their arrival how long it would be before they are serviced. He has always, and I mean ALWAYS provided top notch service and demands the same be done by ALL his staff. He is not only an efficient and professional business owner, but he is also an honest businessman who provides A-1 service to ALL his clients. Over the years, I have had conversations with many, many of his customers who share the same sentiments about the excellent services they have received. I am puzzled as to why none of the many positive comments I have seen over the years are appearing on this site now, however, the one and only negative comment I have EVER seen IS appearing. I would stake my reputation as both a local educator and minister on the quality of services one receives at KT Nails. didn't even try to clean up my cuticles which I feel is pretty standard procedure... I also asked for dip and tip but the person who was doing my nails for some reason only did the dip. I guess I should of been paying more attention to what they were doing and not just assume they knew what I wanted. Or I could have made them redo it. I guess just make sure you remind them of what you want in specific detail and you should be fine. Or don't feel bad about it and make them redo it. I don't know. And I actually take back my previous statement, they did try to take off a hang nail with their fingers. Unfortunately they were unsuccessful, and the hang nail still remains. Also I had a friend who I think once got the victim C cuticle oil add on. It apparently stained her hands yellow, so watch out for that. read more

I love KT NAILS, I never experience any problems with them. Doug and Tina always acknowledge their customers as soon as you walk through the door. I have been coming here for years and never thought of getting my eyebrows done until Mrs.Tina did my eyebrows for the first time and every since she's been doing my eyebrows. I love the fact that there are very sanitize about everything they do. Now the pedicures, they do a amazing job, I love how they take there time and making sure your feet are looking lovely. I came in around four and it was busy, I had only waited three minutes before I got seated for a full set of acrylic nails. I asked for coffin shaped pink ombre nails. My nail technician was Doug, when I showed him the picture I was referring to he told me that he was able to do the nails even better. He was very friendly and held a conversation very well. He let me know what he was doing throughout the whole process and answered every question I had. Overall it was a great experience, I plan on going back!!! read more

Long wait times that they won't tell you on the phone. Don't trick me to get me in the door, just be truthful and honest with your customers, that's the way to keep them coming back! It was my first time here and they were pretty quick to attend me, as soon as I sat down the lady started working on my nails, she wasn't harsh at all and still did a great job unlike other nail tech's, the shape was amazing, and so was the color i mean i am in loveeee, she was so nice :) I will definitely come back. read more

I would not have paid for the service if they hadn't already charged me and asked for tip even before starting. Sadly it was for an event and I just went home and took them right off. Also forgot to mention but I got home an hour later and the terrible polish was still not dry. I will not be back and do not recommend this place.

I was offered a beverage which I declined , but it looked as though many people were enjoying a variety of beverages, from canned diet pepsi to mimosas. It also appears as though they have some pretty fancy pedicure options.I saw some trays with flowers and a variety of other potions going by me on the way to the pedicure stations. It did not feel like a very relaxing environment, however. So if you are looking for that true "spa-like" environment, this might not be the place for you. Customers were talking on their cellphones and there was music playing and televisions on. Overall, the service was done quickly and efficiently and satisfactorily, so it suits the need. I just felt like it was a very impersonal experience, especially when arriving as a first-time customer. Payment: they take cards but offer a 5% discount when paying cash. I did not feel comfortable taking photos inside because it was very busy and I did not want to offend any other customers by taking pictures.

Pedicure may have been one of the best ones I've gotten in Richmond with a lot of attention to detail put into the pre-painting part. Michael is the one who did my pedicure and manicure and I would 1000% book him again for a pedi. Manicure was ok but a little sloppy on paint application with paint going off of the nail, but I am personally not too much of a stickler for like absolutely perfect nails, but I imagine this would bother some. All in all, the 5 stars goes for the pedicure which I am already dreaming about booking my next one!
