I was visiting the area during the weekend and needed a manicure in the most desperate way, on a SUNDAY. I set off to find an open nail place. They were quick to set me up with the nail tech. Quiet salon, not too many customers. The Manicure experience was okay at first but I was totally dissatisfied by the time that time she worked on my cuticle and started painting my nails. I knew the polish was being applied too thick and kindly expressed my concern. However, the older lady shook her head and gripped my hand very tight as to not let me go. I told her I wanted to change polish colors if that was the issue and she grunted something that I couldn't understand and kept her layering away. I was very disappointed in the finished outcome and will not return to this location ever. I used to love this place but I went in there about a month and a half ago for a gel manicure and they absolutely destroyed my nails. She used an electric tool to remove the previous gel already on my nails and did not seem to give any care or attention to how much of my actual nail was sanded off. My nails started splitting vertically pretty shortly after that, and 6 weeks later I'm finally able to grow them to slightly longer than stubs. Be careful here. read more

I stopped here to get a pedicure for the first time. I agree with the other review that it was clean and the staff was nice and easy to interact with. I also brought my two young daughters because they like to get their nails painted with me and the staff was very accommodating. The price was also what I'm used to paying at other nail salons . I also didn't have to wait and we went in the middle of a busy Saturday so they had plenty of staff working. Overall they could do a little cosmetic improving to make it a more spa feel but all the regulars that came in seemed happy so definitely a good nail salon. read more

Please don't get the old lady that can't speak English and half blind ! Not sure why they had her do my pedicure...just a mess..instead of polishing my toes..she polished the skin on my toes.. the worst pedicure ever. Went back again ..3 weeks later..and Tammy try to have her do my pedicure again...I said no way...I waited 45 minutes for someone else. It's s hit or miss with this place... depends on who you get! It's a few days before Christmas and my 5 year old wants a fancy manicure! I'd been to Tammy Nails a few years back and decided to stop back in based on its close proximity to the mall. In fairness, the lady that painted my daughters nails did a fine job. The man that did my mani/pedi however, did not. The pedicure water was so ridiculously hot when I sat down, it felt like a joke (not funny). He was very rough with the cuticles nippers; I pulled away from him several times, and I'm pretty sure he didn't put a top coat on my toes. The manicure was even worse. He nicked a cuticle, left dirt under my nails, failed to remove all of the old gel polish, and didn't even give me a hand massage. Please not my dry skin in the pictures. I chose clear polish this go 'round because I wanted to give my nails a break from gel. So, I was really looking forward to that massage. Like really looking forward to it!! So, when it's all said and done I go to pay and am told my daughters services were $15 (ok, fine) and mine were $45. $45 dollars!! She could tell I was a little shocked my the price and said it was because the had to remove the gel polish when I asked if their manicures came with a massage (because for that much they definitely should), i was told by the girl that she saw the man give me a massage. Total nonsense. She was sitting right next to me doing someone's nails, but she did not see me receive a massage. It never happened! Ugh. Sanitation concern! Tools did not come out of a sanitizer or any special packaging to indicate sanitizing. The gentleman clipped my cuticle which caused bleeding. He did NOT sanitize the cuticle tool following. He wiped it off with a dry paper towel and put it back in the drawer for the next person. I am appalled by this as it is a huge concern for others and now my own health!!!! read more

I'm in the middle of a pedicure so why not post my review now? This is my first time here but the girl I'm babysitting comes regularly. For starters, every staff member is very friendly and they understand what we ask for the first time we say it (always a bonus). There's a woman across from us that comes in every few weeks to get a new shellac manicure and pedi - always a happy customer. The atmosphere is calming and the area looks and smells very clean, from the bathrooms to the pedicure chairs. My toes were taken great care of, no harsh cuticle trimming or scrubbing, but very well done! The polish was flawless as well. Will probably be coming back for a gel extension manicure soon so I will post an updated review then. For now: this is a great nail spot with very reasonable prices! read more

Had a manicure and pedicure a couple days ago at Tammy's Nails. Never again! I have cuts on my fingers and toes and she got the polish all over my skin while doing both the manicure and pedicure. I just left another nail salon here in Midlothian and my toes and fingernails look lovely. The nail technician was surprised when he saw all the cuts and the horrible job your nail tech had done on both my hands and feet. I will never return nor will my roommate or our friends and many times at least three of us had gone to Tammy Nails together. And when I was there a couple days ago she rushed and the tools were not clean nor sanitized. Her station had a lot of nail clippings all over it and debri from drilling of other's nails. I had to ask her two times to use a clean towel under my hands and lower arms. read more

Can I leave 0 stars? This was THE worst nail salon experience I've ever had. I took my little sister to get dip powder for her birthday ( only her 2nd time every having them done) and the nail lady cut her 4 times on her cuticles and made her cry and continued to do her nails. Once I realized my sister was crying I immediately asked her to stop. The salon had an attitude when I voiced that I was irritated because not only did they not seem to care that she was upset they just kept arguing back and forth with me. The lady that did my nails ( a simple regular manicure) cut me twice and cut my nails so short my nails literally ache this morning. My sister is scared to ever get her nails done again. They still made me pay for my nails even after this entire situation. No one should visit this god awful nail salon. read more

I've never gotten a pedicure before where when it was finished there was still remnants of the old polish in corners of my nail bed. I had been here once before and had a good experience. This time, I came in for a gel polish change and they charged me $25 which is around the same price of a gel manicure. Anywhere else I've gone, I have paid $15 for the exact same service. When I asked about it, they told me it was because they had to remove my polish I already had on my hands. This is always included in the price of a polish change anywhere else I've gone. The first time I came here to have my nails done, I was not charged for polish removal. I would check what the price of your service is going to cost before they do your nails so you don't learn the hard way like me! read more

This was my second time here. First time, service and quality were great. This time, quality was awful. Got my nails done on Sunday Nov. 20th, by the next day, the gel coating/polish was peeling off one nail. By Tuesday Nov 22nd, it had chipped off another nail. They were short staffed but we didn't wait long for Yen to be available and start my daughter's manicure. I was so impressed with her work that I waited for her to be done with my daughter even though I could have gotten them done by another. I love my nails! I was in town for my sister's wedding and realized my toes looked terrible! This place was close to our hotel so I checked it out. I was greeted right away and led straight to a chair. Only waited about 5 minutes, which was fine because my feet got to soak in the warm water. The lady was very nice and gentle. The only part I hated was the cuticles and I hate that part in general. First I would like to say I never write bad reviews but I left the nail salon in a terrible mood which never happens because the nail salon is my happy place. With that being said I came into the salon around 1130-1145 and was told it'd be 10 minutes before anyone could help me-no problem. My problem began when the nail tech was doing my fill she was drilling my nails to the point where they were bright pink after she was finished and I was constantly and clearly wincing at the pain. If that wasn't bad enough she stopped twice to talk on the phone. All of that I could've dealt with what really got me is she charged me $30 for a fill with shellac polish. I was there two weeks prior and paid about $35 with tip and an extra $5 for shaping my nails the way I wanted when I told the technician she insisted I was incorrect. I work in the costumer service industry and that is obviously a big no-no. I get my nails done religiously every two weeks and needless to say I will never come back and I will advise everyone I know not to as well. read more
