Found this salon on ClassPass and have always had a wonderful experience! I get gel manicures and pedicures, and the quality is some of the best I've had. My manicures will generally last 3 weeks without having the polish chip or a nail break, which has never happened with manicures from previous salons. Went to get a Gel X manicure. Immediately I could tell the lady who was doing my nails was not trained on how to do Gel X, and I acted as a guinea pig for her to learn from another lady- ultimately she had to redo nail after nail, leaving a bumpy and damaging layer of nail glue on my nail, and cured glue all over my fingers!! The sizing of the tips was incorrect (too small) and many nails are poorly shaped and crooked, and I left with painful, too tight nails that began to fall off just a few hours later. Their designs were fine and the french tip application was beautiful (although the tools used were clearly unsanitary), but if you're seeking a Gel X manicure, I would save yourself $65. read more

I had an overall good experience for my first time at this salon. I have been trying to find a good nail salon close to home since moving to the Mechanicsville area, and I would say this place has potential. Staff was friendly and they were able to accommodate my need for a walk-in gel manicure on a Sunday afternoon. The salon appeared clean and well taken care of from first glance, but it does look like they are rebuilding their polish displays as they still appear unfinished. The salon is not very big, but they do have about 8 manicure & pedicure chairs, as well as a small waiting area in the front. I was helped by 3 different people while I was there, and did have to move halfway through which was slightly inconvenient. They used a fast-acting polish remover instead of soaking with regular acetone and wrapping in foil, and I didn't like how it made my nails feel. The lady who did my actual manicure was pretty good, but didn't clean up the edges very well. Overall, this was not the best experience I've ever had with a nail salon, but if you need a quick manicure, they will do a good job in a pinch! read more

Gave this place a try based on a recommendation. Boy was that a mistake. I made an appt with Trinniw for pedicure and Dip. I arrived to be passed off to Henry. (Not who my appt was with.) Pedicure was AWFUL. Zero attention to detail. Toenails are crooked and sharp. Gel polish on my toes is pathetic. I need to have them redone. The young man H was more interested in the TV than paying attention and it shows. I selected the $65 & was charged for the $80. Then the dip on my nails. Edges are not done. Dip isn't covering my entire nail as it should. Shape is not as requested and the waves!!!! We could surf on my nails! I really don't understand how a business operates like this. Felt like the fast food equivalent but a nail salon. Rushed, zero pride and zero attention to detail. You couldn't pay me to go back. read more

Lena was nice. I arrived at 1015 on a Thursday and was immediately seen. She helped pick the colors and began to work. We had general salon conversation as she worked. I got a full set with 3 gel colors for $45. I do have a small "bubble" on my nail but no big deal. Lena puts a hot towel in ur hands before the oil which was nice. Trinnie's husband is very polite and has a great personality, but she was very rude and snarky. I don't know if it's because I wouldn't allow her to just do my nails without saying something when she wasn't doing a good job and asked her to fix her mistakes. Got me in immediately no wait time. CLEAN!! This is the biggest thing for me and it's so hard to find a spot to go to because of this. I got a gel pedicure for $50, not including tip, which is pretty standard around here I feel. Nail Studio had individually wrapped sanitized nail tool kits for each customer as well as individually wrapped throw away buffers and pummel stones. Everyone that worked there was amazing. They sat me for my mani and pedi immediately without an appointment. And the service was quick but very thorough. I immediately got compliments. My legs and arms feel amazing. Treat yourself with at least the deluxe mani/pedi!! Reasonable prices and great service! I travel from richmond just to go here! Walked in a few minutes ago to see about getting my eyebrows done. I only trust one person to do my eyebrows however I'm not able to get to my person this week. On a chance I decided to try this salon. Place was clean and I was greeted by Lena. She was so kind and polite. She immediately did my eyebrows and talked to me throughout the session.
