I read almost all the reviews and it seems this salon is super polarizing. I went in for a full set and all I have to say is they are just okay. Very middle of the line, very average. I don't hate my nails but I am not blown away either. DO NOT COME TO THIS NAIL SHOP. The only staff member who actually knows what he is doing is named Hieu, he calls himself "Q" I believe. ALL of the female technicians have NO clue what they are doing! Especially for pedicures....they will cut your cuticles and make you bleed and act like nothing is happening. They act like they are zombies....and have absolutely ZERO skill in providing a service that is supposed to be RELAXING. It is the complete opposite of relaxation at this nail shop. And you can only see the male staff member if you make an appointment, and of course since ALL the other staff members are terrible, he is always booked up. Very welcoming, and friendly. Has a spa like vibe, very calm. I went with my mom as a walk in and they had space for us. Not too busy on a Friday night. The color variety is good, although the "gel/shellac" polish is more limited and the brands are not the "famous" ones. I did not specify what service I wanted, but they failed asking, giving me the basic one for mani/pedi. Literally too basic. The nail polish was more of a liquid consistency when compared with other brands and the color was more concentrated in the tips due to the hand position, giving it a bulkier look. Price was good compared to the places that I've been around. It will not be a first option, but I'll have it as the option to go in a last minute case. read more

I was pretty unimpressed with this salon. I called ahead and made an appointment for myself and two friends for pedicures. When we arrived one of my friends was able to start pretty soon but myself and my other friend waited almost an hour to be serviced. The pedicure was nice but felt rushed. Also the pricing was unclear regarding pedicure and added gel for my friend. read more

This place is a JOKE. Every time I go in someone gives me attitude for asking the simplest of questions. Today was the last straw. I went in with a chipped nail that I had cut down myself during the week. I asked for a gel color change and for all my nails to be filed down to the length of the nail I had cut myself (so they'd all be even). The nail technician made them too long so I asked if he could file them down further. At the register I was charged an extra $5 for a "change shape" fee?????? He then proceeded to tell me this was because I asked him to change the shape of my nails. I informed him I didn't do that and I just asked to make them the length I had originally asked for. I then clarified that I was being charged $5 because he didn't do what I had politely asked for. He confirmed this. This salon is 100% about making a few extra bucks at the cost of the client. DO NOT GO HERE. Rude staff. read more

Came in on a Saturday at 2:45 with no appt. I was seen immediately with a friend. I asked for stiletto tip acrylics and that's exactly what I got!! The women there were nice and work efficiently. Today i went for waxing face , hands and under arm. A lady who is not experienced in waxing started doing the work . First because of carelessness sjhe put wax in my eyes and it was hurting . After that she started doing under arms . she put wax and pulling with sheets two times and it got hurt . i kept quiet. then also she is doing same and it started bleeding . i told her to call anyone . i was having pain also . i told her to stop doing and i didnt do my second hand and arm . i came out from salon . if you are doing waxing there do with experienced person . Her name starts with "Ma..." i dont know full name . now i came home and checked in mirror ,my eye brows are different shape . I will tell you that lasy is not experienced . they took 38$ also from me . Their pedicure and manicure arte really good . First time Yelp reviewer for one reason- to stop you from making a big mistake going to VA Nails. I just moved to the area and had tried this place for a basic mani with a friend. The experience was so/so. I tried it again today and decided to try other services- shellac mani, basic pedi, and eyebrow wax. Pedicure - I was seated immediately but waited for over an hour for my pedi to begin. The water was cold by the time she started. - I was asked if it was okay to razor my heels (?). It looked like she was taking a cheese grater to my feet and it hurt. I have never been asked this at a salon and was a bit surprised to say no- BUT I should have. - The pumice stones they use are super old and you'll see fairly worn down. - They don't sanitize when washing the tubs. I watched one attendant pick up a rag from the dirty floor and use it to wipe inside the tub. - I'm all for freedom to not shave and all... but in this business- it's a bit odd to have a technician wearing capris with unshaven legs and armpits. Eyebrow Wax - Back room table/bed is covered with personal beach towels...uh... not sure they change those. - A male (possibly the owner) will wax your brows (by the way my favorite facial feature). . At first I was like okay... but just wait... - Each time he pulled the wax, he would make a weird gasp. As if it was painful for him (?) - I asked for just a touch-up (because I usually do my own brows). At first glance- it was startling that he had taken off so much. I initially though- oh, maybe I had let them go for too long... - At home, I took a better look- OMG! He removed a chunk from one brow and they are NOT even close to similar! I will have to drawn in a portion of my brow now. Thanks. - Stray hairs- still there- I ended up paying $10 to do my own brows. Manicure - Both technicians forgot I asked for one. - My nails are completely uneven. - I asked for a square file... I have an odd concave instead... so my thumb nails curve inward with sharp uneven corners. - He cut my finger. Yes ladies, my finger- not my cuticle. His way of fixing the problem was to put pressure on the cut and move on as if nothing had happened. If you do decide to go... 1. No razor- it's terribly bad for your feet (look it up). 2. Don't go with the man... I paid $60 for everything and tipped generously. Believe it or not, it wasn't until I saw my brows (just now @ 9:30 pm) that I felt I needed to sign up for a Yelp account and say something. read more

This salon is okay if you are in a pinch. I've gone twice in the evening when I needed a quick mani. Second visit I took my husband. We were the only two guests. Several employees on staff and they only spoke to each other in Vietnamese no customer interaction at all. The only time anyone spoke English was to ask if we wanted to upgrade our pedicures!?! One employee sat at her station using her cellphone and coughed the entire time without ever covering her mouth and seemed pretty sick. Not sure I'll go back. Did try twice. read more
