I would respectfully disagree. The burrito is humongous here. I had the supreme burrito and it was loaded with carne Asada and hash browns. The asada was just okay. Picked up several breakfast burritos for a work breakfast and everyone loved them! The burritos were huge and half was enough to last everyone the whole day! It is worth the ~$7. My team loved the chorizo. I'm not a fan of overly crispy bacon though. You couldn't bite into parts of the bacon at all. The salsa pairs well. Overall, lucky boy is a great treat occasionally but I can't imagine eating this often because it is SO heavy. They were very quick with my large order. Pasadena without Lucky boy is like heavy metal without blue notes, u will never go platinum. The breakfast burrito is an icon. The CC fries is 2nd to none. The burgers are fantastic but not why i go here. The pastrami is a local favorite sandwich but i may top it on my CC Fries. Dont sleep on the chicken taco or burrito, its different but i like their green sauce on top. The menu cannot be denied. lucky boy had such good food. im reviewing todays customer service buy the younger guy in glasses at the registers. he was unreasonably rude because i questioned the total. theres no reason to be that rude to anyone, let alone a paying customer. im not sure i will be back. maybe in the evening sometime when the woman is working the counter, shes such a sweet person. this encounter really put me off coming here... and i think if i try to come back and that guy is there, ill turn around and leave. I went here, because it was the only restaurant on my way from one event to the next at lunch time. It was too late for the breakfast burrito (board says until 11am), so I tried the fish burrito. It's also very large. I would rather have had a smaller one for a smaller price. Keeping half for later in the day wasn't an option, it would have been a big mushy mess by then. The fish filet was crispy on the outside and moist on the inside, just right. The tartar sauce complemented it well, although it was a bit runny and made the last piece of the burrito hard to eat. Why is this place so expensive? They have a $10 credit card minimum, which is just annoying. It's like $7 for a burrito. I give the burritos a 6 out of 10. They are huge (2 meals worth), but don't really taste like anything. The salsa is consistently mediocre. Bobby's/Rick's or any of the local Mexican places have better burritos for like 2/3 the cost. Plus side: if you order fries, they give you SO MUCH, and they are delicious. Their bacon cheeseburger is HUGE and quite delicious! Probably one of the few places I've been to where the bacon is also cut into small pieces, which makes the party in your mouth flow so much more smoothly. Their fries were hot and fresh. Finally tried the breakfast burrito. Tiffany R was right. The burrito is huge. Could feed 2-4 people. So the price is good if you plan on splitting. It is full of potatoes that need more flavor. The sauce is nowhere near the quality it would need to be in order to make this a top 3 burrito. Peppe's and most other small places have better sauce. But it is very clean and nice inside. Parking was easy. Good overall experience. I would come back. I owe this burrito an apology. I wrote the above review before I was half way through the burrito. This is a monster of a burrito, with layers of delightful discovery. Having now gotten to the bacon center, I see what the fuss is about. It is hard to get good crispy bacon in a burrito. First of all, I got this place confused with Lucky Boy Drive In and thought it was supposed to have a drive through but no, you gotta walk up. I just got the breakfast burrito and it was huge! The middle-aged woman behind the counter took our order and when I handed her my credit card, she looked at my last name (I'm Asian) and said, "Ok, Ms. Xxxx, pronouncing my last name in an exaggerated Asian accent. Kinda weird. I signed for it and as we were walking away from the counter, she said, half under her breath in a TOTALLY snarky tone, "Sayonara...!". I came and stood in line for 10 -15 minutes. Ordered an omelette and they said they could not make omelettes for the day anymore because they had a big order. It was still 5 minutes before 11 when I tried to order after waiting in line and they didn't care that I waited. I have been to lucky boy 1000 times over the years and I will never go back after that customer service. The owner has also treated his employees like crap in front of customers and yells at them all the time. It's no wonder why they are always hiring cashiers because no one wants to put up with his crap. I used to love this place, but to be treated like that as a regular is unacceptable. read more

Everything is brand new and clean .Before it was across the street from current location but was only a stand and now it has comfortable booths to sit down and enjoy your breakfast or lunch. Come check out a part of pasadena history. My French toast n louisana spicy sausage was the bomb. I felt I was down in the south.
