There is an art to coffee a delicate balance of precision, passion, and patience. Lucid Coffee, however, seems to have misplaced all three. The result is an establishment that promises sophistication but delivers only confusion in a cup. The coffee itself was serviceable, though hardly worth the high price. Its flavor was thin, its finish forgettable the sort of drink one consumes simply because one already paid for it. Service was another trial entirely, slow, disorganized, and empty of structure. Drinks were handed out in a chaotic ballet, with customers guessing which latte belonged to who since none were marked. The most curious discovery came after my visit. I had posted my original review fair, accurate, and mildly disappointed only to find it mysteriously removed. Apparently, management prefers to curate their reputation as carefully as they neglect their workflow. It seems that Lucid Coffee is not only slow with service, but swift with censorship. Shady business indeed, and an insult to honest feedback. As for Lucid Coffee, I am reminded of the words of the great Chef Gusteau, "Anyone can cook!" all though after this experience, I suspect he might have stated instead, "Anyone can report a review, but that doesn't make the coffee taste any better." I would include pictures of the coffee and receipt, however, those were promptly thrown away after leaving. Located inside Village Bread, this coffee shop is placed beautifully next to delicious pastries. Staff did all have masks on so I found that odd. Their menu has a lot to choose from and very unique flavors. I ordered the pistachio matcha and it barely tasted like matcha or pistachio. I will go again and try their coffee in hopes that'll redeem them. But overall I want to really like it so hoping I can update my review! read more

Stopped in on our way to Coachella, got the mint matcha, sooo good an refreshing! It was a perfect pick me up and a great new take on matcha. Mint tea & matcha are my two favorite things so it was a match made in heaven for me. My husband got the Thai tea, it was also really good. Amazing coffee!! Lucid is my go to spot when in the area since it is amazing. I usually opt for the cold brew base but you can't go wrong with any drink here. I've had the blueberry latte, a sage latte, and some other stuff and everything is 10/10. The customer service is always great, I tend to always ask a lot of questions since the menu is huge and changes often but everyone is welcoming to those questions. Whenever we are in Calimesa we try to stop by Lucid (and village bread) to get some coffee because we love it. I love how they have seasonal drinks and they are always a hit. Since it's October we tried their seasonal flavors and got the apple cider donut which was okay, we've had better. I got the pumpkin spice cold foam and loved it! So flavorful and perfect for the season! I went back the next day for the banana pudding cold foam and loved it- probably my favorite!!! Lucid is a GEM! I seriously can't say enough good things about this place. Lucid has quickly become my go to coffee spot not just for the amazing drinks, but for the whole vibe. Their monthly specials are always so creative and delicious (the tiramisu cold foam has been my latest obsession), and my all time favorite is the brownie batter mocha it's not overly rich, perfectly chocolatey, and seriously addictive in the best way. (Thank you for making it a permanent menu drink!) The decor is fun and unique, the space has such a chill, welcoming atmosphere, and every time I walk in, I'm greeted by the friendliest, sweetest team. You can tell the employees care about the quality, the cleanliness, and the customer experience. Big shoutout to all the amazing staff and the owner, you've created something really special here. I used to live in Oceanside, where coffee shops were everywhere, and I honestly wasn't sure I'd find a place I loved just as much after moving. But then I found Lucid, and now I'm spoiled all over again. If you're even thinking about stopping in just do it!! Nice little place and I really wanna try the bakery. As for their coffee they have one size and they charge large prices. It really wasn't that great, and in fact both my wife and I drank about half of our coffees and tossed em in the trash. She was really disappointed as we lost our go to coffee place do to closure. This place is incredible. I live in the midst of coffee Mecca in Los Angeles and would say this coffee shop is hands down better than anything else (ie Alfreds, Starbucks, etc). The monthly rotational menu is genius! To do that as a solo entrepreneur is insanely hard. The drinks aren't too sweet and they taste exactly like what they are described as. I absolutely love the chocolate banana latte and everything else they have honestly is great. I truly wanted to like this place, but sadly disappointed. They have an espresso machine to make lattes, however they only use it for HOT drinks. If you want a cold latte it has to be made with cold brew. I asked if it can be made with espresso shots and the response I got was, "it's not convenient for us". So you're a coffee shop and can only accommodate espresso drinks for those who want a hot latte?! BYE!!! I paid $9 for a drink that went straight to the trash. read more

I got a vanilla latte which was very good, and I didn't have to wait too long. The line is not that bad and the staff are friendly. They share a building with the bread spot so it's very convenient to grab a coffee and a fresh pastry. Vibes are okay? I wanted a cinnamon roll from next door and while they were getting it ready I grabbed a coffee from lucid and oh man, it was phenomenal. I ordered a banana fosters latte and it was creamy, sweet, and delicious but the sweet didn't over power the coffee which I love. I will be back for sure.
