The amazing barista I chatted with recommended The Children of the Oats, armed with honey! It's absolutely delicious and right up my alley. The shop is super cool, it's horror-themed and features life-sized mannequins of horror movie icons as soon as you walk in! They had multiple TVs playing, one of them with the volume on playing classics like Silver Bullet. I spotted a retro TV playing VHS tapes, so fun! I got a teacher discount for the Summer which was a sweet surprise! Roast The Dead is more of a grab-n-go spot as I didn't see any tables. It's smaller and has dark lighting for that spooky aesthetic. I LOVED it, I'll be back! There's a huge menu of options so there's multiple choices for everyone's taste. We stopped in Yucaipa on our way to Los Angeles from Phoenix specifically to try Roast the Dead Coffee, and they did not disappoint. We love all things spooky, and the décor was amazing, packed with iconic horror film characters and such a fun atmosphere. I ordered a matcha latte, which was pretty good, and everyone in my group loved their drinks. I'll absolutely come back the next time I'm in the area.I'm giving them 4 stars only because the service felt a bit lacking. I happened to be out this way so my girlfriend asked me to stop by and pick her up a coffee drink on the way back home. We have been here several times and this is a must see place for horror movie fans. The decor is amazing with so many horror characters featured and on this visit there was an additional Christmas theme since it's December. All of the drinks have fun horror themed names and can be customized. She wanted the ginger dead cookie cold brew with almond milk. I'm not a coffee guy but they also have teas and lemonade. The Creepsickle strawberry shortcake lemonade is one of the best and creamiest I've ever had. Service has always been fast and friendly. It's super fun and decorated inside, they're always very friendly, and it's a cool stop in a pretty quiet area. Honestly this is my favorite coffee spot. I make it a point to drive out once a year for Halloween time. Cutest and spookiest set up. Parking conveniently located next door to the shop. Cute horror mural on the side of the building. Front of the shop is just as cute and amazing. If you go early you avoid lines. Even if there is a line there is vendors off to the side to keep guest busy. Once you go inside, its small but mighty. Heavily decorated with Halloween decorations. Old 80s movie icons everywhere. As a classic horror films fan , I knew I had to visit this coffee shop .. on my first visit I was pleasantly impressed, not only is the horror decorations on point, but their creative drinks are definitely worth trying ! They have a great selection and variety of drinks which is why I know I'll be returning soon. I tried the "Regan" which is an iced matcha w whip cream almond milk . It's a classic drink I've had at other coffeehouses (same taste), yet the experience of this cozy location added that special ingredient to my day . It was such a one of a kind place, super cool to go with some friends , even year round. Although in October this fits the theme perfectly.! This is such a unique experience and coffee shop. Be warned it can get crowded on the weekends. I had to wait 45 minutes just to enter the building because they only allow a small amount of people at a time. It's not something I would frequent but if you're new to the area this is certainly worth checking out. You enter and see a bunch of horror themed props around. I got these two drinks. Freddy Nightmare Fog - If you like a classic cold brew this is delicious. The fog part was red velvet flavor and worked so well with the coffee. (5/5) Hellrazor - Be warned this drink is very spicy, it leaves a spicy aftertaste. Delicious non the less. You get a chocolate taste initially with a punch of spice after. (4.5/5) The theming is cool and the drinks are actually very good and unique. Worth coming at least once. Maybe come at a random time if you don't like to wait. read more

Always a great place!!! This time I got to bring my kids and they enjoyed it!!! Everything is always great to look at no matter how many times you come here. It was weird to go next door for the merchandise and baked good. The employees are always willing to assist with choices if you are confused on what to order. Such a fun concept! Roast the Dead immediately transports you into a haunted house the moment you walk in. There's so much to check out with all the horror movie collection. Came in during the week. Ordered 4 drinks and as I'm half way through my drink I suck up something hard through the straw. So pull it out of my mouth. It looks like the tip of a nail. Horror themed coffee shop in Yucaipa (1st location). The horrifically cool themed shop was dark and eeriely fantastic. Blood soaked walls in decor of everything horror movie related. The undead staff was friendly and service was stalkingly attentive. The Dead-ristas made me "Worms Michael" (Strawberry cream with cold brew). This terrifyingly delicious drink stabbed my taste buds with delight. The blood themed cup was an eye gouging pleasure for sure. Looking for a good coffee spot on a recent visit to Yucaipa(apple picking), we landed on Roast the Dead. Located across from a church, we walked in and were hit by horror show memorabilia galore and a haunted house like feel. Many drink options to choose from, but we just chose a simple coffee. I was bummed I missed this place while I was in Yucaipa last weekend, so decided to make another trip to check it out. I'm a fan of 80s horror movies, and love coffee, so this place sounded perfect for me. I have access to similar themed coffee places near where I live, but this place looked even more extreme. The drinks sound similar to Rad Coffee (Covina, Long Beach, Upland), and theme is almost identical to Coffinated Coffee (La Puente). It's near Uptown Yucaipa, but still somewhat isolated in an inconspicuous area. Parking lot is pretty small but there's plenty of street parking nearby. It's a tiny place, and I found it to be much smaller than how it appeared in photos. There aren't any tables, inside or outside. Just saw two benches inside, which were mainly for people just waiting for their drinks. It just seems more like a takeout coffee shop. It's quite dark inside, and might be too scary for little kids. It has regular coffee and espresso drinks, but this isn't the type of place you come for these. You come here for its specialty, themed drinks. Names are clever and drinks look fun (or scary). I got Hellrazor which is a spicy mocha with toffee nut. This drink tasted excellent, and looked bloody good. It had subtle spiciness at the end with a nice touch of toffee flavor. It came with red whip cream on top, which can be omitted if you don't want food coloring. I would probably skip in the future, but had to get it for my first visit for the visual. I got two different lemonade drinks for my kids. Creepsickle, which is a strawberry and cream lemonade, was good without being too sweet. I didn't care for Killer Clown Lemonade, which is a cotton candy flavored lemonade. It just tasted sweet and didn't really taste like anything. Even my five year old son thought it was too sweet and couldn't finish it. read more
