Fooled me again Luceros Bakery. Gave you another chance after consistent cake decorating errors. The cake itself is good but the decorating is awful. One used to order their cake with the cake decorator and now Carmen just over prices you and gives you a badly decorated cake. We ordered a cake for my baby's baptism 3-4weeks ahead in person with a photo. The price was over $$$$$ but they assured us the cake would look exactly like the photo. Lies. They over decorated the cake making it look busy and not the simple elegant cake we ordered. And they made their cake look bigger by using loads of whipped cream . We cut into the cake to find just as much whipped cream than cake. From now on if I want I 3 leches cake from them I will order it white & go elsewhere to have it decorated. Don't waste your time here if you want a special cake. All they know how to do is standard flowers or balloons on a cake. But even then you may get the wrong cake boxed so check your cake before you leave. Don't bother asking for a discount bc all they do is apologize & promise it won't happen again with no compensation for THEIR errors. read more

A gem and must try! I've been coming to Luceros for years now and always get their tres leches cakes + churros. Always a hit at birthday parties. I'm writing this review because I ordered my sons birthday cake and let me tell you, it exceeded my exceptions! I got a two tiered cake - top was red velvet with cream cheese filling and bottom was marble with cream cheese filling. Everyone, and I mean everyone, at the party ate 1-2 slices. I didn't expect the entire cake to be eaten if I'm being honest since a lot of people don't really eat cake at parties. But I think the presentation of the cake made people interested and the first few folks who tried the cake were raving about how good it was so that encouraged everyone to try a piece. 10/10. I'll continue to come here to order future bday cakes! read more

I was looking for a last minute bakery that would accommodate me with a gender reveal cake. This one came up on my search so I decided to go in and see if they can make a simple white cake with blue inside to reveal the gender. It was extremely busy everyone asking for churros! Apparently they make good churros! Gotta try next time. Anyway after a while I was assisted by a lady named Carmen. She was very helpful. She must have seen how stressed I was about this gender reveal cake and needing it to be exactly as I described because she reassured me that it'll be fine and will turn out how I want it. Super simple white cake, blue inside with whipped cream and fresh strawberries! I showed her a picture and she said ok no problem. She took the time to make sure everything was written on the order of what I wanted. When I picked it up. It was exactly what I ordered. I was still nervous because obviously I could not check if the inside of the cake was blue. I decorated it myself super simple. But once it was cut into it was exactly what I ordered. I had to go out to the City of Commerce and came upon this little bakery. It almost looked deserted from the outside, but I guess most of their business is pick up and drive away. I had been craving churros and they had them. They even had churros stuffed with chocolate, vanilla, other flavors, but for me a churro is not a churro unless it is just the plain pastry with the granulated sugar on top. These churros were crunchy the way they are supposed to be on the outside, and warm and soft on the inside. A real treat. Also very inexpensive. It was less than $20 for 20 of them. It's probably a good thing it's so far from me or I would be here every day. read more

Don't know a better spot for churros so... The ladies working here were very kind. I ordered a blended drink and I got the feeling that wasn't a popular item because I got nervous eyes on me when I ordered. They reluctantly made me the drink and I believe it was the manager that said "I hope it's to your liking" as she handed me the drink It was actually very good & I appreciate that they made the drink even though that wasn't their area of expertise. I got the feeling that maybe their barista had the day off or something and they had to kind of improvise? They had initially declined my order of the drink but then said they'd make it anyway. I didn't mind if they said no, it's a bakery not a coffee shop. But I thought this was a very nice gesture on their end and made me feel valued. Obviously the churros are amazing. My go-to is cajeta stuffed churro. (Cajeta is just a thick caramel that's similar to Argentinian dulce de leche if y'all ever had that) I tried the cheese/jalapeño bolillo and it was tasty as well. Unfortunately I let it sit in my bag too long and it got a bit soggy, but the taste was still adequate. Friend tried the flan and she said it was really good too. Not my type of flan if I'm being honest, because I prefer the creamy flan over the gelatin like one. Not sure where the creamy flan originates from, but the gelatin one I believe is traditional. Pretty sure anything you get here will be good. Last time we went, they were still acting accordingly to the pandemic. 6ft rule + no indoor eating. Outdoor seating was available. I was very disappointed with my resent experience preordering churros. I ordered 4 dozen churros on Sunday for Monday 7am pick up. Normally they're are crispy and sooo good! It appears that they sold me day old churros and refried them so they could be hot! They were soggy and greasy! Everyone on my team was complaining as we normally buy then every week and they were awful! I had to throw over 1/2 of my order as they were terrible. So I've been here before for churros and they r bomb my fave is the guava one. I've also gotten their carrot cake slice, chocolate and recently their tres leches cake slices and I was blown away at the tres leches chocolate!!! I dream of it now, it's so moist!! So recently I went to purchase a whole cake (chocolate) for my father in laws bday, and they all loved it!! I think I'm going to go back to try other cakes slices, but so far I like what I've gotten there, don't sleep on this place it may look like any other bakery but their cakes r good. It's hard to find a bakery that's good at least from my pov. But this place is clean, good customer service and plenty of parking. read more

You can't get too many people inside so you might have to wait outside until your order is ready. Be smart and pre-order because my friend was in and out within a few minutes.
