I came in for the first time, and Jamie, Sandra and I didn't Name of The Morning shift lady I just seen she rides her bike to work . Their service was exceptional. They gave me samples as many things and I ended up buying a whole dozen of bread. Breakfast and iced Coffee and I loved how clean they have it . The traditional vanilla concha was good, the bread was soft! The lavender concha was extra sweet. It tasted like a regular concha and then there was added hard icing on top. It was too sweet for my taste. Service was not really memorable, the guy was just taking our order and quick with us. My coffee was bland and there is an extra charge for alternative milk. I had the cafe de Carmen- I did not like my drink at all. My husband ordered the cafe Oaxaca and it was good!! I would recommend that drink. I can only speak to their food in this review as I was fortunate to find 2 of their products in my local grocery store. I purchased the Wedding cookies and the Orjietas (butter palmiers). Both were fantastic! The wedding cookies tasted like homemade- light, fresh, and lots of powdered sugar. The palmiers were light and crispy with that crunchy sugar on the outside. I scheduled an order for a dozen Pan Dulce in celebration for my coworker's birthday yesterday, 7/3/2024 at 7:15AM. The order came right on time and the pastries were fresh in a catering box. Dozen Pan Dulce - $29.40 (price via Postmates July 2024) Includes: 4 mini conchas, 2 Danes, 2 cinnamon rolls, 2 taquitos, and 2 plain cuernitos - The pastries looked and tasted so delicious! - The taquitos, cinnamon roll, cuernitos had this ASMR crunch when you bit/cut into them. They lean on the sweeter side, but paired with coffee for a delicious pairing. - I also tried one the mini conchas, and it did lean a little more on the drier side but still so tasty. - Absolutely no complaints from my coworkers - they all got to enjoy and try them! - To my sweet surprise (not sure if it was a mistake or them being kind), they actually included an extra cinnamon roll, which is my favorite! Right when you walk in you get greeted immediately, I don't come often to la monarca so when asking about all the cakes(they have a lot) the worker had no problem telling me which was which, which was very nice. I absolutely love their cafe de olla! It's always a hit whenever it's brought to the office. I got their mini conchas today and they were pretty standard. The bread was still soft and it wasn't dry. The bakery has a ton of items to choose from and gifts to purchase too. I decided to preorder my items online the night before. When I got to the store, they had no idea about my order. Customer service is spotty. The young lady who came off as new was sweet but the older lady came off as tired of her job. This place had a great selection of things to choose from. Pulled up last night (jan 26) between 7-8pm and asked for a small hot oaxacan, but the girl working said they only had large. I asked for water too but she said they don't have cups, only tiny ones and I said that was fine. This whole ordeal happened in Spanish by the way. I waited 15 mins in the empty lobby for my drink and had to ask the other older woman for my water. She asked the initial girl if i ordered water as if it would've been a problem if I didn't order it with her. The other girl told her that she had told me they only had tiny cups, and immediately after, the older woman tells me they have no cups at all. I asked if they could serve me water in a regular cup they use for drinks and she told me they'd have to charge which I was 100% okay with! She grabbed a cup, took it to the back, took her time back there and I notice she was talking to ANOTHER girl who seemed to be the manager. The older woman saw that I noticed her and came back and said "so do you want water in a small cup or a regular cup" ??? So they have small water cups now..? I told her I'll take a regular cup and paid the dollar willingly to just get out of there. The large hot oaxacan? HOT GARBAGE! The oat milk was oversteamed and the drink overall just tasted burnt. Mind you, I only wanted water but bought a drink as a courtesy and have been wanting to try this place out for a while now. Too bad! read more

This place is so good. Coffee and pastries are always on point. I love that I can order online and pick up my order before work. Only downside is I feel the pan dulce is a little expensive compared to other places but oh well. Cafe de Olla is delicious and I like to buy the grounds so I can make a pot at work.
