Very good Mexican sweet bread and especially there churros filled with cream strawberry or cajeta filling

I been coming here for years my mom would get our cakes here. The past two times they have ruined my cakes. You tell them what you want and they write it down and you pay 80 plus dollars but when you get it it does not have what you asked for it's just sad. I do not think I would be ordering anything from here no more like cakes. read more

First time at this place customer service was terrible. The women that was taking my order didn't like I was take a sec to look at there filled churros so she just told me " you are clearly not ready so let me get the other customers orders " so she made me step aside while she took 6 other customers orders before mine. read more

I hate writing this review because Luceros was the place for churros, but the quality is inexcusable. The churros were not fresh they were stale, and super greasy, I had grease stuck on the roof of my mouth. Churros are one of my favorite desserts, but the quality and service is no where near how it use to be, which is probably why this place is not as crowded as it use to be. read more

I bought four slices of tres leches cake for $22 and a flan for $25. When I got home, I tried the cake. It was okay but not worth the $5 per slice in my opinion. The flan wasn't very good and certainly not worth $25. COSTCO sells a much tastier flan that is way bigger and for much less. My only consolation is that I didn't put any money in their tip jar. Tres leches de nuez and fresa are delicious! Couldn't resist the choco flan and was not disappointed. I called prior to ordering and was assured I can walk in the morning and get a dull cake. Staff is attentive, friendly and make genuine connections with their regulars. The place itself reminds me a bodega with friendly regulars giving a helping hand and providing suggestions. The man in front of me even offered to let me go ahead, but I knew I was going to get a few things and respectfully declined. They NAILED the custom cake I envisioned down to the detail. There were two women helping me design my cake, a mother and daughter. I don't think I need to add another review of the Churros from Lucero Bakery. They are outstanding, perfectly crunchy, not overly sweet, and just enough cinnamon. I ordered 20 of them and it only took about 10 minutes. They provide fast and friendly service, and offer a variety of baked goods. But I really only came for the Churros. Terrible service. I placed an order over the phone and went in to pick it up but they said they never received the order and told me to go to the other bakery down the street so I drove there but it was closed. I called the number where I placed the order and no one answered. So I drove back to this bakery to check again and then the cashier had remembered after I came back that there was a phone order. So they just sent me in a whole circle for no reason due to them not paying attention. Then they charge me twice $48. I left the store because I was running late to a funeral that I was taking these items to and had noticed they charged me 2x's so I called back. I spoke to the supervisor at 12pm on 11/22 and asked to refund me my money. They stated they'd call me back but never got a call back and I called back but I keep getting the run around and have yet to get my money back that they robbed me for. Came on to order a 3 leches cakes for my daughter's birthday. We brought in a picture of the cake when placing our order. The cake was made exactly as my daughter requested and it was delicious! Only reason I didn't give them 5 stars was due to the wait when placing the cake order. We waited over 1.5hours just to place the order. The lady taking orders was busy handling phone calls and in person orders. Owners should have someone help her with handling phone calls. Other than that. I recommend cakes from Luceros! read more

This place is excellent. Churros are amazing when fresh and warm and are still good later in the day. We called ahead by an hour for an order of 50 churros, and everything was warm and ready by the time we arrived. We paid by phone and pick up was super fast/easy. This bakery used to be located in a small storefront manned by a few people. Fortunately, the business has done well and grown to a stand alone where they have a variety of delicious treats and drinks. But for me it's all about the churros! More than just churros! This was my first time ordering a custom cake and I'm blown away by the results. They worked well with my broken Spanish and had people there who spoke English to help out with anything that they didn't understand. I literally went in there with just the concept of wanting a Selena cake, after looking through ideas on my phone I found my favorite and they said they could do it. I gotta admit that I was nervous not knowing exactly how it would turn out but it was literally perfect, every detail was exactly how I was expecting. I got it in tres leches, as someone who has had plenty of Porto's this blows them out of the water. Everyone was asking me where I got the cake and saying it was way better than Porto's. So in the end, not only did I get a cake that looked amazing, but it was beyond delicious. The price was not bad at all compared to what I was expecting. Pickup was very easy, they wheeled it to my car and it was secured in a big box. I had to also order churros though, get the 50 pack and your guests will be very thankful. We just got the plain but it looks like they have all kinds of flavors. Will for sure be using them again when I'm getting another cake or just want to stop by for a quick dessert. read more

I recently bought 100 churros as a fundraiser for my son's school. They were a complete sell-out.

This place is a like finding a unicorn!!! There isn't any other place I can think of that sells Churros. Did I mention they have churros!!! The staff are super friendly and really helpful.
