Lucas Tacos is a wonderful place with the best quesabirria tacos around. I used to order from them all the time. Unfortunately, they have recently raised their prices drastically. I understand that inflation and tariffs have placed a strain on small businesses, but I fail to see that as sufficient justification for how much they raised their prices. Many of the items on their menu went from being the most affordable around to being more expensive than almost any other competitor. I was a regular, very happy customer. I've been here a million times. I always order a Campechana de Fajita con total ( with onions and cilantro ) it's usually around &6 bucks. She tried to charge me like $12.50 I said I've never paid $12.50 for one Campechana here ever. I'll just take the regular one then. She says "okay $5.60 that's the regular price." I used to love this place. This was my go to local taco shop. Quesabirria (4 small tacos and a tiny consome) used to be $13 now it's $23??!! Absolutely no way. I went to the next nearest taco place and got TWO ORDERS of Quesabirria for $23. their prices are now ridiculous and I just can't justify paying that much for so little. read more

In sum: food is amazing, and it makes up for all the other shortcomings. Food: 5-star They have 3 salsas: red, green, and creamy green. They are all spicy, but the red and creamy red are perfect. The green salsa is less my flavor. I got tacos a la mano (made with single, thicker, handmade-style corn tortillas) with chorizo. They use purple onions and cilantro! The horchata is powdered. Service: 4-star Fast. They did their job for a carry out order, but there wasn't a particularly personal touch. this young girl couldn't even do her job right. it was not her first time because I have seen her before. i ordered a coffee and she went and threw out a coffee that was already done instead of heating it up. and she didnt have any idea how to turn it on. she kept delaying and didn't even know what she was doing. Real authentic Mexican tacos. Lucas Tacos is a straight up, hood Mexican taqueria shop. The tv is turned on to Univision(?), the girl at the counter no abla Ingles, they don't give you cups for drinks (only bottled), and the food is on point. I got 3 chicken tacos and they came out the way they were meant to be. The chicken was slightly greasy, but fresh, the tortilla was soft and fluffy, and the toppings were as expected (onions and cilantro). They were served with 2 bottles of salsa. The green one was hot enough to make me sweat (i'm no pansy either) and I didn't even touch the reddish one. The salsa's tasted so good, so I pretty much smothered my taco's in them. Note that the prices are a tad bit high. For a street taco, I shouldn't be paying more than $1 or $1.50 at most. The chicken tacos were priced at $1.75 a piece. Not too bad though - 3 chicken tacos filled me up for lunch and I came out only at $5.75. read more

"Eight o'clock waited from my second order and they barely gave me meat. I won't order here again that's called CHEATING.

I've passed this place many times and couldn't find much on Google or Yelp, so I figured I would put my big girl pants on and go in blind. The whole place is covered in Spanish, luckily they spoke English for my sake. The place was deserted, as it always is when I pass it. (I always attribute things like that to it not being on Yelp! LOL) The menu is pretty straight up; Tacos $1.50/each Burritos $5.95/each Tortas $5.95/each Sopes $2.50/each Chavindecas $4.50/each Quesadillas $4.50/each They offer various meats; Asada, Al Pastor, Pollo, Chorizo, Tripa, Fajita and Suadero. There is a huge sign with everything right next to where you order. I asked what's most popular, he suggested pork tacos. I got 3 pork tacos, again didn't want to be too adventurous. I got the option of cilantro and onions. I got them to-go and by the time I got home the tacos were a little soggy due to a lot of grease(Reason for -1 star). The tacos did stay together. The meat has some sort of greasy seasoning and the cilantro was drenched too and I hate soggy cilantro. The seasoning wasn't bad, just unexpected. The tacos are pretty much street tacos. The seasoning has a little spice, but doesn't take away from the meat. Overall, good street tacos! I got what I paid for and I'm happy with it. If I'm in the area, I will go there again to support the business, and I hope you try them out too. The place was clean and quiet. They have a health inspection 'B' so I'm assuming it's pretty clean back there too and that is pretty good for a non-franchised business. read more
