They put nothing but mostly cilantro and onion on my burrito, stingy with the meat and nothing but rice. Burnt the hamburger buns.

In sum: food is amazing, and it makes up for all the other shortcomings. Food: 5-star They have 3 salsas: red, green, and creamy green. They are all spicy, but the red and creamy red are perfect. The green salsa is less my flavor. I got tacos a la mano (made with single, thicker, handmade-style corn tortillas) with chorizo. They use purple onions and cilantro! The horchata is powdered. Service: 4-star Fast. They did their job for a carry out order, but there wasn't a particularly personal touch. Ambiance: 3-star A little barren inside, but the new paint job is much better than before. Parking is terrible.

First and last time coming here. Ask for some lemonburnt wings they probably had them sitting for a while and they just kept reheating them over and over by the time I order they just sprinkle some seasoning on top and called it a day. Horrible experience. Tables where super sticky don't recommend at all should of gone to wing stop read more

Lucas Tacos is a wonderful place with the best quesabirria tacos around. I used to order from them all the time. Unfortunately, they have recently raised their prices drastically. I understand that inflation and tariffs have placed a strain on small businesses, but I fail to see that as sufficient justification for how much they raised their prices. Many of the items on their menu went from being the most affordable around to being more expensive than almost any other competitor. I was a regular, very happy customer. They have placed themselves out of my budget though, so now I will eat elsewhere. read more

I used to love this place. This was my go to local taco shop. Quesabirria (4 small tacos and a tiny consome) used to be $13 now it's $23??!! Absolutely no way. I went to the next nearest taco place and got TWO ORDERS of Quesabirria for $23. their prices are now ridiculous and I just can't justify paying that much for so little. read more

I've been here a million times. I always order a Campechana de Fajita con total ( with onions and cilantro ) it's usually around &6 bucks. She tried to charge me like $12.50 I said I've never paid $12.50 for one Campechana here ever. I'll just take the regular one then. She says "okay $5.60 that's the regular price." This was a really good place excelente food and the meat was so tender, I went there today and was a disappointment, meat was so old and over cooked I can tell that is meat from another day and they just cook it again, I ordered a quesadilla and the amount of meat was ridiculous just a few pieces of extra chopped meat the sour cream was spoiled. I think the only good thing about this place is the people that work there really friendly read more

this young girl couldn't even do her job right. it was not her first time because I have seen her before. i ordered a coffee and she went and threw out a coffee that was already done instead of heating it up. and she didnt have any idea how to turn it on. she kept delaying and didn't even know what she was doing. She was definitely HUNGOVER. if ur hungover don't bother coming to work. just because she has the looks doesnt mean everyone is gonna treat her well and im pretty sure she expected that. read more

Real authentic Mexican tacos. Lucas Tacos is a straight up, hood Mexican taqueria shop. The tv is turned on to Univision(?), the girl at the counter no abla Ingles, they don't give you cups for drinks (only bottled), and the food is on point. I got 3 chicken tacos and they came out the way they were meant to be. The chicken was slightly greasy, but fresh, the tortilla was soft and fluffy, and the toppings were as expected (onions and cilantro). They were served with 2 bottles of salsa. The green one was hot enough to make me sweat (i'm no pansy either) and I didn't even touch the reddish one. The salsa's tasted so good, so I pretty much smothered my taco's in them. Note that the prices are a tad bit high. For a street taco, I shouldn't be paying more than $1 or $1.50 at most. The chicken tacos were priced at $1.75 a piece. Not too bad though - 3 chicken tacos filled me up for lunch and I came out only at $5.75. read more

I've passed this place many times and couldn't find much on Google or Yelp, so I figured I would put my big girl pants on and go in blind. The whole place is covered in Spanish, luckily they spoke English for my sake. The place was deserted, as it always is when I pass it. (I always attribute things like that to it not being on Yelp! LOL) The menu is pretty straight up; Tacos $1.50/each Burritos $5.95/each Tortas $5.95/each Sopes $2.50/each Chavindecas $4.50/each Quesadillas $4.50/each They offer various meats; Asada, Al Pastor, Pollo, Chorizo, Tripa, Fajita and Suadero. There is a huge sign with everything right next to where you order. I asked what's most popular, he suggested pork tacos. I got 3 pork tacos, again didn't want to be too adventurous. I got the option of cilantro and onions. I got them to-go and by the time I got home the tacos were a little soggy due to a lot of grease(Reason for -1 star). The tacos did stay together. The meat has some sort of greasy seasoning and the cilantro was drenched too and I hate soggy cilantro. The seasoning wasn't bad, just unexpected. The tacos are pretty much street tacos. The seasoning has a little spice, but doesn't take away from the meat. Overall, good street tacos! I got what I paid for and I'm happy with it. If I'm in the area, I will go there again to support the business, and I hope you try them out too. The place was clean and quiet. They have a health inspection 'B' so I'm assuming it's pretty clean back there too and that is pretty good for a non-franchised business. read more

Me and my older brother and mother bought birria tacos from Lucas tacos and it was a shame of what we got and everything came out as 50$ and there was no meat no cheese it was all tortilla and the birria tacos where small and they served us a little bit of birria sauce it's not worth coming to this place read more

Went here today and last nite and the young Hispanic man at the till was very kind, attentive and had a smile on the whole time. He made sure that we had silverware for my quesadilla albeit I didn't need them it was still very sweet and thoughtful. The cashier was nice but my carne asada tacos were not. Corn tortillas were soggy and the meat was flavorless. I had to drown them in their red sauce and lime juice. I've had them several times before and it's a hit or miss. Probably won't be returning. 2 stars Bc the cashier was friendly and they're affordable. $1.75 a taco. read more

When we asked the manager about it, he didn't seem to know they changed this. 10/25/25 was 8.25% tax (including alcohol in the order). All recent bills were anywhere from 13% to 16.5% hidden in the "tax" line, not even itemized. I'm sure because they know most won't realize it. This may explain why on a Friday at 5pm (even with a social hour) the bar was empty except for one other couple. Not going to reduce the stars since I like many of the long-timers that work here, but whoever is running the show now should probably re-examine their decisions. #WWFD

Lunch specials- I don't even know if this is on their website but they have a great lunch menu and they have a lunch combo special where you can pick two items for $10.50 and it comes with rice and beans. I ordered the cheese enchilada and the mini chimichanga. Full disclosure I didn't eat the mini chimichanga because I didn't know it was covered in queso and I hate queso (unpopular opinion- I know). I loved the enchilada though and it had chili con carne sauce which was delicious. Rice and beans were also very good. Next time I'll just say no queso on the chimi. The restaurant is really tiny but cozy and you can tell it is family owned. Definitely will be a regular spot for me and will be back.

The manager also came and gave us free beef fajita samples since he found out it was our first time. The flavor and juiciness of the beef blew me away. My wife and I got queso to compliment the complimentary tortilla chips and salsa and bean dips. I was a big fan of the beans too, didn't think I would be. We ended up getting a trio (beef, chicken, shrimp) fajita 1/2 pound and it was perfect for the 2 of us. You can taste the grilled and charred flavor on the meats. The chicken and shrimp were slightly on the drier side but when combined with the sour cream, beans, guac, cheese, they were perfection. For the two people, the limitation ended up being more the toppings to the fajitas but it was just enough. At about $25 for 2, that was a steal. The queso was about $9. Now, was it the absolute best Mexican food I've ever had? No. But it was still leagues beyond most of what we've experienced lately back home in South Dakota. The carne asada especially stood out. The portion was massive, tender, and packed with smoky, savory flavor. You could immediately tell it had actually spent some time on a grill instead of simply being rushed out of a kitchen. We also enjoyed the tacos, enchiladas, and burritos, all of which had that comforting Tex-Mex richness and seasoning that we've really missed. Unfortunately, we were on a fairly tight travel schedule and couldn't linger the way we would have liked.
