Steak: 5/10 flavor wise this was good but the steak was slightly overcooked and a little dry for me. Pork: 8/10 the pork had great flavor and was probably my favorite of the ones I ordered. Had it with the green salsa and it was delicious. Birria: 8/10 enjoyed the flavor of these as well. The consume was good and I liked that it wasn't so thin/watery. Fries: 7/10 hate that I paid $4 but the fries were hot and fresh.

And it's also worth mentioning that the restaurant is take out only. For what I'm assuming is a limited time they are offering free horchata to anyone who leaves a review on Yelp or google. The tacos were authentic street tacos, with the exception of the pastor. There wasn't any pineapple and it didn't appear to be roasted pork, it was actually kind dry if I'm being honest. My favorite part of the meal was easily the consume. All in all, for the price ($2.50-3.25/taco), this was just an average experience, would stop by if I'm in the area, but wouldn't drive out of my way again.

I had 2 Barbacoa Tacos and 1 Pollo Taco. Both were delicious. We also shared a Fajita Quesadilla that was tasty too. We both had the Agua Fresca/Horchata. It was fresh. My friend even had them give me a sample of the Menudo. I am not a big Menudo fan but it was delicious. I am definitely going to drop by again. The atmosphere was that of a hole in the wall. The service was very prompt. The food was delicious. I highly recommend this place.

Well today I went to get a torta and I paid with a twenty dollar. The change was supposed to be $4.41 . Well "Lydia 'supervisor " just gave me $4 dollars. No change. No thank you , no mention of the change. She just walked to the back. I thought oh she didn't have enough change and is getting some from the back . That was nice I was just going to let her keep it. If she had told me I would just said that. Well she brought my food, I left the 4 dollars on the counter. She wrapped my food didnt say anything no thank you. Of course I didn't like that , no customer likes to be forced to pay a tip . Especially a tip that you wait for your food to carry out. I brought it up to her . Apparently she didn't speak English, I thought cause she just stared at me. Great , another bad example of our people who don't bother to learn the language. I started to speak in Spanish she just stared and finally said it's "Nomas son 50 centavos" . it's only 50 cents! And rolled her eyes! I kept my cool and told her how rude it was of her to assume I was leaving a tip. I asked to speak with supervisor. She said she was the supervisor. Then placed another dollar on the counter and rolled her eyes! I wasn't rude but I did tell her that was no way to treat customers especially since this was a small business. I just asked for my money back. She said I can't do that. When I insisted she opened the cash register and gave me my $20 dollars. Give me a break.. Don't assume on tips it's not your right. It's a privilege and for that matter a shameful practice restaurant owner place on their employees. Pay them well so they don't have to beg from customers. I like the tortas but Iam not going there again. With that kind of attitude I wouldn't be surprised if this location shuts down.

It's located just a few doors down from the now-shuttered, iconic BBQ joint -- Fred's BBQ, which we all sorely miss. Their cooking has a very similar taste to my Mom's as she was also from Northern Mexico (from the neighboring state of Tamaulipas), and since she's no longer here, I always find myself going back here when I'm needing that nostalgic comfort of home. My favorites are the barbacoa and carnitas tacos and their rice and beans are so delicious! I swear they taste just like my Mom's. They never skimp on the meat and I'm so picky, so I love that I don't have to pick through a bunch of mystery meat like at other places. They have daily specials, chiles rellenos, lengua and all kinds of meats and guisos, tamales, and menudo on the weekends.
