I repeatedly asked for street tacos, not fried, and specifically no onion or cilantro. Not only did they fry my corn tortillas, making them hard and tough to chew, but our tacos came loaded with a clump of oily onions, honestly more onion than meat. Completely opposite of what I asked for. My kids ordered birria tacos and we were told the consomé was extra, which makes no sense because it should automatically come with birria. My husband ordered the birria ramen and it arrived in a tiny, sad container, nothing like what is pictured or advertised. If you've ever seen any of my other reviews, I get overwhelmed when I go to a Mexican food place because everything just looks so good. I definitely had that problem here. However, the staff was so friendly and patient and even tried to help me decide. I settled on the sopes and my husband had the taco dorados special. My sopes were a little hard in the center, but the flavoring of the bistec was pretty good. I tried the green salsa from the salsa bar that is for dine in customers only and omg. It had a kick to it! Even though it doesn't look like it and it's not updated on here, this place does offer outdoor seating. Unfortunately, I didn't know this until after we were almost done eating. We came her because of tik tok! We saw the tacos de birria in a tik tok video and they looked SOOOO good! So we decided to come and try it out - we just HAD to go! I am so glad we did!! Ramen was good and tacos were good as well. I like how they have a salsa bar with salsas and other things to add. The light green salsa was the best IMO. All sauces were good nonetheless. Little hole-in-the-wall place, super unassuming from the outside. The inside isn't fancy, but I tell you what, they keep it very, very clean which I appreciate. I come here for the tacos dorado, which are AHMAZING. I know birria tacos are all the rage right now, but nobody does them like Taqueria Moctezuma! They are crispy fried, with gooey, delicious cheese and melt-in-your-mouth beef. Good little salsa bar stocked up with onions, cilantro, pico, and napkins. Beans and rice must be ordered separately, and are good, but not as amazing as the tacos. My husband got the birriadilla (birria style quesadilla) and liked it, but he isn't as much of a fan of the birria style, so I take his opinion on that with a grain of salt.
