3 stars, 1 extra for nostalgia. Last standing location near me since Plano closed. Pea salad & Luann with fish is my standard. There is an upcharge for certain types of breads & the server doesn't know so be prepared when you get to the register. There is always at least a 25 minute wait to get thru the line so keep that in mind if you're on a time crunch.

Went to the Midway location, very large selection of food, I mean everything I have ever had here was good, but if you come on Sunday, come early they sometimes have a line out of the front door

Lubys!! I am so stoked to see still around. Nostalgia. The LuAnn platter portion does not disappoint and the pricing is twice as nice! Chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes/gravy and green beans with a bread for less than $9.00!!! Come on! And you can go through line and order it to go if you don't want to eat in. From the salads to entrees, sides and pies-just as I remembered as a kid! Do not understand how is 3 stars! Kids eat for $6.49! For real, cannot miss for home tasting meals! Less than McDonald's for a family to eat in. I ate before could get pic of meal.

The food is good the memories are better going for many years with my grandparents. It's been 10 years and it's 85% what I remember it was like and the same tastes. $15 meals and so many choices you can't go wrong !

I can always count on Luby's for a good home style meal! This time I followed the lead of the person in front of me and tried the chicken fried pork chops. I started eating those delicious homemade mashed potatoes and brown gravy before I realized I didn't take a picture. The pork chops were nicely sized, tender and not overly seasoned and fried just right!! I got the garlic toast and a side order of sweet potato casserole, which is one of my favorites. The line was pretty long as it's lunch time on a Friday. The servers were friendly and the managers were ensuring the line flowed smoothly. I ordered to go but the dining area looked clean and comfortable. I have yet to be disappointed here and will continue to be a fan of this location.

The portions were huge and staff friendly. The inside was peaceful and well lit. The pea salad was my favorite.

All the Luby's in our area of Texas have closed. My husband and I made a special trip to visit this location as we love Lubys"s food. Food was excellent! It was hard to make a decision in the serving line as everything looked delicious! Service was great. Bathrooms were clean!

And you thought there were no more Luby's. Au Contraire! Contrary to popular belief, Luby's Cafeteria is still thriving. I would have recommended this restaurant two decades ago, and I stand by that recommendation today. Normally, service isn't necessarily discussed in the context of cafeteria food restaurants. But we'll make an exception in this case. Our table service was excellent! The server made sure our drinks were refilled multiple times, and she brought steak sauce without me asking. That's exceptional for a cafeteria. Luby's Cafeteria food isn't fancy. It's simple, southern comfort fare made the way Mama made it all those years ago on Sundays after church. There's literally something for everyone: grilled, fried, or baked meats, vegetables, salads, desserts, bread and a wide assortment of drink options. My wife loves their sweet tea, so be sure to ask for a drink to go. You choose what you want, and it's delicious! And you can even put A1 Steak Sauce on your chop steak, and no one will judge you. The ambiance is casual and usually noisy, but on our visit, it was nice and quiet. This location has some upscale furniture features, like live-edge tables and very comfortable chairs. This restaurant is worth the occasional visit and definitely worth going out of your way. I recommend Luby's!

Even when we weren't sure about which appetizers we wanted she allowed us to split appetizers- a small portion where we got to try the apps. We tried the tenderloin crostini which was delicious. Along with coconut shrimp. The shrimp were ginormous. And the sauces were so good. Our fav was the mango marmalade. The best bread I have ever had in my life!!!! You know how sometimes they bring a roll to the table for the table to share? Not here boyeeeee Each person gets their own roll. I don't even know how to explain this heavenly bread. It truly is the best beard I have ever had before. I would come eat here again JUST FOR THE BREAD. The crab cake is out of this world. Huge jumbo clumps. Also comes with a variety of sauces. The wasabi one was our favorite. You must order the crab cake! My husband got the ribeye rare and said it was the best steak he has had, and he eats a ton of steak. I got their off menu item of carne asada tacos. The meat was sooooo tender. They don't use flank steak they use a tenderloin and it just melts. The mushrooms were Devine. Glad I ordered the carne asada. The adult Mac and cheese was good but just good. Brussels sprouts were good (not the best I have had) but I think I was also just so full by this point. The asparagus is huge!!! Oh the best finisher ever- the peanut butter pie!!!! OMG!!!!!!!!!! I'm not even a dessert girl and I couldn't stop eating it. First time me and my husband were fighting over the last bite.

Although delicious, My angels envy rye old fashioned cost $30!....had I known that, I would not have ordered it. I have been here many times and they never disappoint
