This is a newer Lowe's store. It's big, it's clean and has a lot of stuff. I visited yesterday to pick up some random stuff and the staff was generally helpful and friendly. In helping me find one item, the staff member found a specialist, who took me straight to my needed item. The second time I needed help, a staff member explained to me how to find the item I wanted and I had to find it on my own. Overall I would come back. I appreciate that this Lowe's isn't as busy as the one in Ventura, and I find the parking lot much quieter and easier to navigate. read more

Came to this Lowe's to pick up some wood to fix a child's couch because as an adult you should not sit on a child's couch and expect it to hold you. The parking lot was huge and open and the store was very clean, as what you would expect from Lowe's. Checked out the plant area to see what's new (they had coconut palms that day!) and got some wood which was cut it for us - the guy was so friendly and I wish we didn't forget his name, going to look for him next time. He went out of his way to brush off as much wood as possible to minimize splinters since we had our niece with us. Note: they had swing chairs outside of the store in the shade in case you didn't want to wait in the store. read more

Do not ever buy an appliance through Lowe's or waste your time on the extended warranty. I have a 2 year old GE washer under their 5 year extended warranty. It has had 5 service claims because it keeps breaking. I have been without a washer for a month and a half now. They state after 4 claims, they will replace it with a refund check and after 14 days you will receive $50. Neither of those has happened. I have been in store to get help (they stuck me on the phone as they don't deal with warranties in store). I have had 2 appliance companies come out and taken 4 days off work to be told it's not repairable. Lowe's has provided no updates, emails or texts to inform me of what is going on so I have had to be the person who calls between Lowes and the repair companies as they don't communicate either. I would give zero stars if allowed. Buy your appliances anywhere else, Costco and Best Buy have better options. read more

I like this store but our last experience wasn't so good. We bought a dishwasher appliance. Good machine, ok price, the sales associate came off like a used car salesman. We purchased installation, he only charged us $40.00, since when do plumbers charge $40 only, for anything? Plus a three week wait for delivery. Just wanted to share some thoughts about this company and the Oxnard location. I can understand why so many people give such a poor rating for a company that's supposed to be great . (Key word Great) Besides the fact that on a daily basis customers well being are in danger ( Almost every day they are stealing from the Oxnard location and management allows it ) There own employees/ Supervisors and Management steal from there own company as well . The expectation for top Quality employees or Managment is set below the standards of even Home Depot or Walmart. At $15 an hour please don't expect any good service or decent advise . The parking lot is a homeless and drug user's paradise with the approval of top regional managers approval. Hence the customer safety . The top qualified employees either move on to other careers or are pushed out . The products they sell are amazing but so is everyone of their competitors. I'm surprised this company has not gone bankrupt, there stock value is embarrassing as well as there choice of management and executives. They hire ex Home Depot employees who are below par and vice versus Home Depot hires Ex- Lowe employees or Managment who are below company standard . The customers are the ones who pay the price. Adrienne at the Customer Service returns is the best!! She went out of her way to help us with a return that was very old but on our Lowe's card. Our joke or a contractor had us buy the wrong items and then didn't complete our job. A year later our new contractor is starting and finds we have the wrong sink. Adrienne was amazing! She took the time to help us and work with her boss to get us store credit! I am done with Lowe's. Not because it was my favorite place to go when I needed DIY supplies because the 3 or 4 times I have gone to customer service to return or exchange something I am always met judgement. These customer service reps judge me and then they will make me jump through hoops to exchange an item or to return something. When I returned my brand new not even out of the box pressure washer that was only purchased a week earlier they appeared to make acquisitions they it was stolen. Just now when I wanted to return the 2 dead plants , the girls would only do one because she said I only had one receipt. Clearly the receipts showed I purchased several plants that day and it is quite possible I bought the plant a few days after I purchased the original 125.00 in plants. Service: Lowes and their delivery service DSI Logistics IS HORRIBLE!! DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM!!! My Step-dad ordered cement 2 days earlier. On the morning of the the delivery date, we received a voice msg from DSI Logistics that the delivery would arrive between 3pm-7pm. At around 3:55pm , the driver calls me and said he is at Lowes in Oxnard loading my cement. (Side note: Lowes is 7 minutes from my house btw) At 5:10pm, my stepdad calls him and he said he is in Fillmore and still has to unload stuff and drive to another place in Fillmore then has to go to Santa Paula and Camarillo before my house. So, he did not get to my house until 830pm -.- Then he also tried to make my step dad feel sympathetic towards him. We understand you have a busy day but don't make empty promises and have us waste our entire day waiting by the door. Every job has their busy days and their slow days, just because it's a "busier" day it cannot be an excuse. Also, maybe they could possibly plan their day better since our house is probably the closest stop from Lowes compared to everywhere else. Customer Service @ Lowe's IS ON POINT! Our kitchen sink was such an eye sore. Or rather, that thing was HELLA UGLY!!! We needed some serious help and after gathering info on local options, we settled on Lowe's in Oxnard. Why here? To sum it up, we found it offered the best customer service, it was the most accessible, best in-stock inventory, comparable pricing but 5% off everything option with store credit card sweetens the deal, and a flat install fee. Smaller vendors offered comparable customer service but Lowe's made up for this in other areas. Sometimes, in Lowe's there may be no staff in the area of interest but there is this "magic button" when engaged, will deploy a knowledgeable rep to you promptly! "Customer service to..." heard over the PA worked every time for us. It's like rubbing a magic lamp or pressing a Staples EASY button. POOF! Staff member Tim was the one who finalized the deal for us. We were trying to decide between Cast Iron vs. Stainless Steel vs. Composite Granite Sinks and he patiently laid out the pros and cons as well as availability. We also had height issues with the kitchen faucet and Lowe's had the most options to choose from regarding this issue. When purchasing everything, we mentioned the need to get things done soon and we were able to set the installment date in 5 days. Mr. Scott from Campbell Plumbing (not the same from the Starship Enterprise...hah!) is a Lowe's plumbing contractor who contacted us few days earlier to confirm the appointment and that bloke was just plain cool. He arrived 5 minutes earlier than planned and found that our original plan to replace our old Cast Iron with a Stainless Steel Franke wasn't gonna work because of the way our granite counters were cut and side dampeners on the sink. Luckily, Lowe's was close to home and open and Mr. Scott was kind enough to wait. I made a bee line back to Lowe's while Mr. Scott discarded the old cast iron, pressed the magic button and WALLAH! Staff member Basilio promptly came. We opened up boxes of potential alternatives, measured and compared inner dimensions from the measurements Mr. Scott provided, and came up with a plan B. Mr. Scott even met me at Lowe's to provide an assist. See, that guy's a good bloke! We settled on a Kohler Cast Iron and reconvened at our humble abode. The installation went smoothly from there. We even tried to tip Mr. Scott after completing the task and he flat out refused!!! All in all, a great experience dealing with this chain business. Lowe's close proximity and volume of in-stock merchandise certainly allowed for alternatives to problems incurred during installation, to be created & chosen quickly. And none of this would have been possible without the wonderful customer service Lowe's provides and a Higher Power to allow everything to flow so smoothly amidst the chaos. We have been shopping between both the Oxnard and the Ventura Lowes to find what we need and it's worked out so far. The employees are friendly and knowledgeable. The only thing we found difficult was to find a specialist in the flooring department on a consistent basis. We found we really like the Lowes in Oxnard. We picked out vanities and other things at the Lowes in Oxnard, while we found a great travertine tile on sale at the Lowes in Ventura. Both locations have friendly and knowledgeable employees. We also found that each store carries different things and shipping deals also differ from store to store so it's worth checking both locations if looking for things in stock. read more

I've have also usually been able to find someone on the staff there who will help me determine what product I need, help me find it, and explain how to use it when I get it home. We went to order decking. We were ready to get the Trex today to build our deck. They had a hard time finding prices and one board was $28. for 16' and the other color was $60.+ for 16'. I was so bothered by how the individual in the store acted, I had to write this review while in the store. We were in the section that has curtain rods and wall mount extenders. There was one out of the package that didn't match #0274048 or #02744049. So we called over the employee Fernando who after asking if he could find or see if there are some more of the ones without a package quickly responds with "whatever is out here is all we have" So my husband asks if he could check the back and again he reiterates "this is all we have". My husband tells him if he could look up the item number. His response was "I'm just going to look it up on Lowe's .com" Mentally me and my husband just thought wow he exudes the I don't want to help attitude. He wasn't even busy, didn't have any customers and wasn't stocking any shelves. The other employees we encountered were all friendly and attentive. But Fernando shouldn't work in a profession that requires him to be a people person. So, my husband (who is on dialysis, and a bit weak), helps me load a gas heater into the truck. We take it down to Lowe's Oxnard, and wheel it in. The woman at the returns desk tells us we can't return it. I ask her to ask her manager, as I don't want my husband to have to help me load the item back into the truck. I tell her my husband is sick. She doesn't care. We go back and forth, I tell her we were told we could return. This is a brand-new item that Lowes now wants 20 dollars more for - they are losing nothing. She calls another manager (at my request), who cannot be bothered to come down to talk to us, and says no. Worst part, this woman is all about making sure she wins whatever battle she was fighting with us so that we cannot return. She does not care a rats about us. I chose Lowe's to do a kitchen demolition and install in June. Took forever to get the cabinets four months and no one called me. Got the cabinets in October then it took turn a week to come out and inspect them and they found one of the corners of cabinet was damaged. Not good! They found a few other minor defects. I called installation support team what a joke. Spoke to someone and they said either the can pick up the damaged product or at the end I would get some money back. He really couldn't tell how long it would take for me to get new cabinet. Now we are In November and still waiting for demolition and install. Purchased a SS sink online for $429.00 which never shipped. I spent 2 hours on telephone hold to reach a CSR. They advised they would cancel and refund the order as the drop ship vendor couldn't be reached. They then advised I should place a new order. 5 days later two identical sinks arrive of which one was returned to the vendor using their supplied call tag. The original order was never canceled or the verified return refunded. I went into this Lowe's to resolve the issue and was assured the Store Manager, Anna Hathaway, would personally resolve the issue by contacting HQ. The customer service that we received from this location was appalling. We bought a washer & dryer. We explained to the customer service rep that we only wanted to buy a set that was in stock. He assured us that both items were and they'd be delivered in two days. We called to confirm the night before and were told we were good to go. Friday morning comes and Lowe's calls to say that the washer is not in stock "anymore". Do we still want the dryer delivered? Say what? We confirmed they were in stock multiple times. We stated that we did indeed want the dryer delivered that day. We were then assured the washer would be delivered on Monday. We confirm again that the washer will be delivered on Monday. Monday comes and no washer. We've spoken to 6 customer service reps and now a manager who cannot explain why for the 2nd time our washer isn't being delivered. He then tells us that he can't get it delivered to us until Wednesday. No explanations, no apologies, no sorry for the inconvenience, nothing! A week after making our purchase and we still didn't have a washer. I will take my business elsewhere. They clearly showed they do not care about taking care of their customers. read more
