I had a horrendous experience with Lowe's online ordering and delivery. It delayed my project by two full days. Their website promised same‑day delivery if the order was placed before 2 PM. I placed mine around 10-10:30 AM. By 7:10 PM, the tracking still showed "preparing order," and although the virtual assistant eventually connected me to the Union store, the phone rang for 15 minutes with no answer. The next morning, I called again and learned the order was just sitting there because no driver accepted the delivery. The associate stated Lowe's uses an Uber‑style system for same-day large building materials as well, which makes no sense. I offered to send a representative to pick up the order myself but was then told the entire order had been switched to the Paterson store because one item wasn't in stock. No notice, no communication. Paterson is too far, so I canceled everything. A second order for cabinet hardware was also mishandled. Cabinet hinges were sent to a Staten Island lockbox, and the cabinet handles were canceled because they weren't actually in stock. The website should clearly show "out of stock" or "not available at this location." The website, ordering system, logistics, and tracking are all poorly structured. Shoppers beware. I waited as salesman was on phone for like 10 minutes. 3 ppl based by but I guess they worked in other department.I already knew what I wanted ,I just needed him make sure it was same and ring me up.Delivery was terrible. Guy kept calling me Mommie and had broken english.Not good when communicating with customers.I think he had broken listening as well.All he was concerned about was leaving and going to next spot..Long story short after going back and forth with him and dispatch. What should have been a simple kitchen cabinet project has turned into almost 10 months of delays, defects, excuses, and complete lack of accountability. I started this project in May 2025, and it has been nothing but frustration: - It took 6 weeks just to get the first set of cabinets. - One cabinet arrived with serious structural issues. Lowe's reordered it three separate times, and every single replacement came damaged or defective. - Another cabinet had scratched doors, which meant another 6‑week wait. - My kitchen renovation finally began in October, under a contract that clearly stated 3 weeks to complete. - But more cabinet problems kept showing up. My contractor tried to work with what we had, but one cabinet had been ordered incorrectly by Lowe's. - We went back, they ordered a new one, and that took another 5 weeks. - By then, my contractor's contract expired, and he refused to return because the project was dragged out endlessly due to Lowe's and KraftMaid's repeated mistakes. - The "new" cabinet arrived scratched again. Lowe's had to reorder it yet again. - The final replacement didn't arrive until February 3, 2026. Let me be clear: This is nearly 10 months of delays, damaged products, reorders, and zero responsibility from Lowe's or KraftMaid. Lowe's refuses to take responsibility for the installation delays. KraftMaid does not answer calls or emails. I've lost my contractor, lost time, lost money, and lost all trust in both companies. I came into this location 1/13/2026 looking for a washer and dryer. I was in the appliance section for 20 minutes, and no one ever came over to that area. You are on your own here! Everytime I shop here I find many of the staff all hanging out in the middle section chatting and not moving around to help confused customers. Several times I had to return on the same day to exchange items because it I purchase the wrong item. Like today I ask for help finding a long screw for a light fixture. The millwork department is terrible. I ordered multiple doors and a garage door in April. On of the storm doors broke 2 weeks after install, still not resolved and I am getting the run around. I went to purchase clearance items from the "back aisle" area but they rang up at full price in the self checkout ( no cashiers were open). The associate told me to go to the lumber department because they have a cashier open. The associate was very rude and nasty and told me to go to customer service. I was finally able to get the purchase at the correct price after a run around. The store should A. Have products scan at the correct price. B. Train associates on what to do if the price is wrong. I have been coming to this particular shopping area for years, but I've never been to Loew's. Instead, I've usually frequented the Toys 'R' Us next door. However, a plumbing issue came up and I needed parts so I headed over to Lowe's. If you have ever set foot in a Home Depot. or Lowe's you know what to expect here. The building looks like a gigantic warehouse. Each aisle was clearly labeled with gigantic signage. As I walked through the store I noted that it was very clean and organized. Within each aisle tools and parts were labeled very clearly. While I did ask for help, had I just allowed myself to wander around a while I would very likely have found what I was looking for on my own. Check out was easy thanks to a mixture of both regular cashiers and self check-out machines. I went around 1PM on a Saturday so you would think it would have been a madhouse but it wasn't. Went to pick up an online order. Associate couldn't locate it. Another associate went to look for it (and didn't seem happy at all to have to so.) So I sat there for about 10 minutes. The whole time, the first associate didn't apologize or even try to follow up. Just sat there without acknowledging the fact that we were waiting way too long. So I went ahead to cancel the order. Since I bought it online with a gift card, they claimed they had to refund each item back to two separate gift cards and that they would have to be mailed back. I received one gift card and I'm still waiting on the second gift card. So now I have 2 gift cards, waiting on a third in the mail. So I'm forced to use the gift cards. I receive a $20 coupon from USPS for moving. So I figure I give them one more chance. The associate was very friendly even helping me retrieve the coupon from my phone. But unfortunately the coupon didn't work. So the associate went to ask a manager. The manager was no help. I asked for a courtesy 10% which would've only been about a $10 discount but he refused and offered me a credit card. Not only do I not want or need a credit card, I do not want to ever shop here again. I usually do well at Lowe's, but this location is a mess. They are disorganized and lazy. I ordered something online and went to pick it up. I actually waited about 40 minutes before heading there and the drive over took another 20 mins. Once I got there, I went to customer service to request my item. I was told that it would not be ready for another 30 minutes. Ha! I just went to the aisle to pick it up myself and signed it out. Before this, the cashier at customer service said I would need to cancel order and then repurchase. How stupid. My contractor happened to be with me and ran off to get some nails; as I was still at CS, I asked the supervisor, VIrt if I could just pay there... he said, "no, this is just for CS", which I knew was untrue because I've paid for items at CS in the past and they've allowed me since it makes no sense to have customers go to the other end of the store to pay for something. Most inept customer service and sales team ever wasted two and a half hours trying to get a door ordered for my home and measurement. Two weeks wasted trying to schedule for the door measurement. One week wasted trying to get the receipt and sales invoice sent to me via email to sign in order to get the door paid for even though the sales rep promised to send it by email he didn't. 2 hours wasted four attempts on the phone trying to call the door Department trying to get the door paid for. 40 minutes standing on line just to pay for the door and walking away with nothing with the manager refusing to close out the invoice even though he was standing right there we are completely finished with this Lowe's and will never return here again worst customer service ever. They gave me the number fo rthe vendor. I called the vendor they said nothing was ever sent by Lowes and they cannot do anything. Whoever is assigned to be at the customer service desk definitely need to be re-evaluated for its ability to perform the job. I was in there twice, with pick ups (online order) and return (it didn't work) within 2 week of time frame. Do not order online! I called to confirm the fridge (with specific item/model #) is in their warehouse before placing the order. Wayne was kind enough to go check and told me it is in isle 820-A and said I should order ASAP because it is the last in stock. I ordered and then called the following day to confirm delivery and if that item was on hold for me. After four different associates kept transferring me, making me wait 2 minutes each time, finally had someone explain that they had not gotten to my order yet, and it was on hold for someone else! Terrible online ordering system, don't bother unless you can wait another 2 weeks for them to restock, assuming it even comes by then. The sad thing is this is the second Lowes that did this to me, after wasting a week waiting for the same fridge and another location, I canceled that order and tried to get it from this place because I saw one in stock. This location leaves a lot to be desired. Visited Monday 5:30 pm. I mostly visit the garden and plant departments. Houseplants had clearly not been watered in over 7 days. Dry as a bone. Clearly wilting and the bigger plants showed serious signs of inconsistent watering. I (nicely)brought it to the attention of an employee and he turned and walked away from me without saying a word. I didn't buy anything despite there being 4-5 plants I liked. I just didn't trust they would live.
