I call them to get advisement on possible solutions and after waiting for an eternity to speak to someone. I get told it's because there was a heavy downpour of rain last night. He then gave an attitude towards me and told me to call tomorrow. I called another couple of stores who say they'll assist and get disconnected with them. I call headquarters to explain my plight and told that they can't do anything. If you need a good company to get a quality lawnmower and decent customer service, then I definitely don't recommend ace hardware. I will never buy anything from them

I ordered furniture that had to be assembled and there were not the correct number of screws so I rushed in flustered and they ease my stress and found the exact right pieces to help me finish the project. They always ask if you need anything else. I tried to build a play set for my grandchild and vey sport but I mistakenly got a wrong piece stuck and could not get it out I rushed over again almost crying and asked what could I do? They very patiently and kindly were able to take apart and asked if I had brought the screws with me they were going to attach the pieces properly for me I am forever grateful for their guidance on paint selections, finishes. Accessories needed to complete the project. Over the years I have gone on knowing what needed, or mostly knew what I wanted to do but not what I needed to eat it done and they guided me on how to hand heavy mirrors and shelving. Repair or patch wood finishes that have been damaged. Adding the kindness, patience and care they show every customer, I am genuinely grateful for a local small business.Honestly the prices compare to big box stores where it's sometimes hard to find what you need and you certainly will not get the care and attention you receive here. It is worth it even for I've small item. Stop by and say hi! Let me add they cut keys as it is getting harder to find anyone that still does this! He suggest I just use some liquid to keep the screws tight and it would help keep the door and hinge straight. I didnt know how to use the liquid so he said he would help me. He opened the tube of liquid he pulled from the shelf for me (assuming it was for me to purchase in case I needed it again). When he was done, he said $10. After I paid, I said thanks where is the tube for me to bring home. He said it wasnt for me and I was paying for his "services". So basically if I had said I wanted to buy the tube of liquid and leave without him "helping" me, it would have been $8 and I would have kept the tube. Jack is a scammer. If they ever offer to "help" with something, be aware its for the "services" and not the product you thought you were buying. I will NEVER be going back to Bunchers.

We have spent an extraordinary amount of money in both of these stores. We rarely need to make returns, but we just had a recent instance of having to return 5 bags of polymeric sand because we decided to have the job done by a contractor. I saved the receipt and my husband went to the store to return the sand. It was a VERY UNPLEASANT experience to learn that there is a 90 day window on returns (with receipt) and NO EXCEPTIONS ARE GRANTED FOR A RESELLABLE ITEM such as polymeric sand! Needless to say, we have made our LAST purchase at Lowes and I will be sharing this VERY NEGATIVE experience EVERYWHERE I can.

In one case I took out my phone and showed the employee that the item was located in aisle "BW." She didn't know what that meant.
