Amazing color match! Provided samples of each of the colors we needed and Al nailed it? Had it ready in just a day and it looks perfect!

He genuinely cares about his customers satisfaction and that is so extremely rare these days. Steven got the job done well, and ALWAYS, ALWAYS stayed in close communication with all updates on the job. That in itself is priceless!!! We recommend Cleanest Painting and will be repeat customer's .

PLEASE READ THIS ENTIRE REVIEW IF YOU PLAN ON HIRING STEVEN AND CLEANEST PAINTING LLC…read more I own a 7 figure, 3 level home in Hoboken, NJ and I met with 3 people from Thumbtack for the job. Steven was priced in the middle and his job included Benjamin Moore Regal Select which is one of their highest quality paints. He described his company as a close-knit group of guys that have been working together for years and that they were a smaller, specialty painting crew that had experience working with high-end homes. Exactly what I was looking for. When I met Steven, I liked him right away. He is very friendly and personable. We walked around my home together and he pointed out all of the issues and what he would do to fix them. We were completely on the same page about everything. In addition, I really liked that he asked me if there were specific things that I wanted him to pay attention to. I told him: to remove all light switch covers to avoid the square brush strokes around the covers; to tape all molding so the transitions of paint would be clean and neat; and to make sure that everything was properly covered so that paint didn't splatter. He assured me everything would be taken care of and I felt like I was in great hands. The day the job was supposed to start, Steven asked me if he could use a different brand paint and do a color match to my actual Benjamin Moore paint because the cost of the paint in Hoboken was more expensive that he thought it would be. I said absolutely not because I wanted the paint to match. So, the job was delayed by a day so Steven could go buy the paint he promised me from a different store where it was cheaper. NOT A GOOD START. After two days of watching his guys paint without Steven being there, I asked him to come meet me at my house to talk about the work so far. I explained to him that the guys were doing the EXACT things I told him I didn't want. They didn't remove the light switch covers, they weren't using tape AT ALL to ensure clean paint lines, and their tarps and covers did not fully cover all of my floors so there was already paint splatter. I literally had to tell one guy to stop working until I spoke with Steven. This one guy was the worst. Steven came to talk to me and I told him that I didn't think his company was right for the job, I said would pay him his costs for the supplies and the guys working for two days and we could part ways. Steven begged me to allow him to finish the job and that he would make sure everything went perfect from that point on because having a satisfied customer was the most important part. I agreed. There were 3 guys there painting all day, and I told Steven I wanted a different guy to replace the one that wasn't doing a good job and I asked him what his name was. HE DIDN'T KNOW. He had to ask his head paint guy. Okay, so now this makes sense. Steven works with one main guy, and then this guy brings in his own guys to do the work. Not a close knit group, this job was literally outsourced to another guy who then brought in his own two guys that Steven had never worked with before and DIDN'T EVEN KNOW THEIR NAMES! I was furious but I let him continue. Once the guys were done, we did a walk through and I pointed out all of the remaining issues. He offered to bring in his uncle who has been painting for 30 years to clean up all of the mistakes and to get this right. I said yes and he really was great. He cleaned up a lot of the mistakes and got things to a point where I was much happier, but I was still pissed that I was dealing with all of these issues in the first place. When the job was fully complete, I did my own walk through and that's when I saw all of the mistakes, ESPECIALLY all of the paint that splattered everywhere. On my floors, on my audio/video equipment tower, on my garage tile floor which cost me $7,000 and on my custom cabinetry which cost me $15,000. I showed Steven many pictures with the paint splattered everywhere including outside my house on the concrete house columns, small concrete driveway and the street and sidewalk. Steven offered to come to the house to clean up and I said absolutely not, that I didn't want him or anyone from his company setting foot in my house again. I spent $100 on cleaning products and spent the next week getting all the paint splatter out of the different areas in my house. My advice is to not hire Steven if you have a high-end job. I think Steven should focus his work on small projects like small apartments and condos and work with people that don't require the very best work. Unless his uncle is doing the painting, I would ask a lot of questions and would ask for a test day of his guys to actually watch them work before paying anything. It's just not worth the aggravation, headache, time, disappointment and frustration working with his company.

One of the benefits of being a Property Manager of 50+ units is in being able to recognize a vendor…read morethat is efficient and professional and that is what we discovered in this company when we recently updated a condo in Englewood, NJ. From the first contact via Yelp, Jorge Ontiveros, owner of Century Painting LLC, provided exceptional customer service, especially in his communication with his client with regards to the project. He promptly responded to all inquiries before, during and even after the work was completed. What was impressive was he seem to intuitively understand our needs as his client and was quick to resolve any concerns we may have had. We had contacted over seven companies for the project before entrusting our condo project with Jorge and the results were fantastic! During the project, Jorge would sent updates with photos and description of what had transpired during the work, without being asked. If you appreciate such attention to detail in communication, you would absolutely appreciate this as much as we did. Jorge and his team members each seem to have their area of expertise in getting the paint work completed. Initially the project was slated to be completed in 3-4 days; however, with his team of Carlos, Mario, Sebastian and Hugo, they were able to complete the work beautifully in 2.5 days. We also appreciate their conscientious safeguarding efforts during COVID-19. Thank you for your fantastic work, Jorge! We are glad to be your first review but we are certain you will have many more to come! :) --------------------------------------------------------- LOCATION: The company services Teaneck, NJ to within 25 miles of the vicinity, including New York City region. SERVICE: Exceptional communication (phone/text/photos), willing to spend time to answer questions and to requests. Pre-prep work was done well, they covered the floors and lighting well, removed all the plug plates and appliances to full painting coverage. The painters are very skilled and thorough, covered every visible (and even hard-to-see) cracks, bumps and holes for a smooth finish. Very organized and clean-up was very well done, PROS: Jorge and his team seem to take great pride in their work, and the results reflect in the remarkable results. They are legitimately registered with State of New Jersey and fully insured. Jorge will even provide you their full insurance information when you request it. CONS: They may need to use your fridge to store their lunch. :D PRICE: Price is competitive and on-par with other rates. However, their service outshines others by far, as they were chosen after couple of other vendors showed poor or questionable communication and/or paperwork. ----------------------------------------------------------

I was on the market for painters to help paint my entire apartment (2br 2ba including doors, trim…read moreand baseboards). After doing some research, I knew I wanted to use BJ Moore Regal Select paint which was consistently ranked as the best quality interior paint and we had our colors & finishes already selected. I reached out to 5 different painters to learn about their services, get estimates and I scheduled in-person walkthroughs for my top 2 choices. The walkthrough meeting and followup Q&A really sold me on Century Painting, we hired them and were not disappointed. Jorge (the owner) was responsive, very professional, timely and offered helpful advice about care / maintenance. I requested an initial estimate and covered the majority of questions thru Yelp, shared photos and a floor plan over text, and covered followup questions with Jorge over text and a brief walkthrough meeting I requested so I could get better acquainted with them and be completely transparent about the project scope for our specific space so there wouldn't be any surprises down the road (we have high ceilings and structural beams that might be tricky). Jorge was quick to meet and he provided a firm estimate in writing to me over email. Jorge provided a very competitive quote for the job and he required no advance deposit (most required 10-50% down). He also accepted credit card payment as an option, with full payment expected only when they completed the project (note: they were the only painter of the 5 that accepted credit cards). Jorge and Carlos showed up on time every morning, was able to provide a COI to meet my bldg's requirements, and they came ready to work with all the necessary paint and supplies. They took good care to move / cover our furniture and hardwood floors so they were protected and made sure to return everything clean and put back in place. Jorge encouraged us to identify any holes we may need patched or painting misses that needed correction - tbh, most of these things were proactively detected by them first. They really paid meticulous attention to ensure the quality of their work - and invited us to call them if we had any issues after the project (since we have furniture being delivered following the project). We fortunately had a little paint leftover so we're keeping it just in case we scuff any of the new paint in the process. They were done with the project in 2 days (others quoted me for 3-5 days with 2-4 painters). They were truly a pleasure to work with. We chose 2 dark colors and 1 light color - everything got at least 2 coats of paint but the dark colors required at least 4 coats. It came out beautifully (see pictures). I can't thank Jorge and Carlos enough. Highly recommend you check them out for yourself - I doubt you'll be disappointed.
