We even tried to work with him when he said he was very busy with bigger, (apparently) more important jobs and that it might take a while (8 weeks or so) for him to get to us. He strung us along a bit and now, four months later, it seems we're ghosted. We STILL desperately need our kitchen ceiling painted... Hoping to find someone who'll deign to return our calls and come around and slap just any old paint up there at this point.

I believe he did a professional, quality job both times at a fair price. The first paint job looked good for years and lasted well over 10 years (all you can reasonably expect). With the first painting, we had just completed an addition, so the job required painting both a new, fresh surface, as well as an 80 year old structure. Both times the crew prepared the house well. They sanded huge sections of the house, removing all the chipping as well as other faults of the old paint job.They were neat and environmentally conscience, using vacums with hoses attached to the sanders, working behind plastic sheeting and on top of drop clothes to contain the paint chips. The paint job itself was very professional. Dave also stands behind his work. I had some minor chipping that I thought was premature a few years after the second paint job. I called Dave and explained the problem. He came by and looked at the house. He stood behind his work and offered to touch up the area, simply asking that I be flexible with the timing (totally reasonable in my opinion - I offered he simply do it when he had a window of time). When the time came to do the touch up, he took a chip of paint off the house, went to the paint store to match the paint chip (we had the original color code/name, but Dave was cognizant of the fact that paint fades as it ages and is exposed to the elements - so the job required a slightly different tone to the color which the sample afforded him the opportunity to custom mix a paint to match the faded color) and then sent his crew over to prep and apply a fresh paint job to the area. The touched up area blended in very nicely with the existing paint job, so one could not tell the difference by color. This review comes from a guy that painted for a business in high school and college, after having been taught by my Dad how to do it right. I had many repeat customers due to the quality of my work. I also have run my own businesses over the years. Therefore, I think I have a fairly good idea of what to expect from both a business owner and a professional painter: I am happy to say that Dave delivered professionalism on both counts.

The painters are very skilled and thorough, covered every visible (and even hard-to-see) cracks, bumps and holes for a smooth finish. Very organized and clean-up was very well done, PROS: Jorge and his team seem to take great pride in their work, and the results reflect in the remarkable results. They are legitimately registered with State of New Jersey and fully insured. Jorge will even provide you their full insurance information when you request it. I was on the market for painters to help paint my entire apartment (2br 2ba including doors, trim…read moreand baseboards). After doing some research, I knew I wanted to use BJ Moore Regal Select paint which was consistently ranked as the best quality interior paint and we had our colors & finishes already selected. I reached out to 5 different painters to learn about their services, get estimates and I scheduled in-person walkthroughs for my top 2 choices. The walkthrough meeting and followup Q&A really sold me on Century Painting, we hired them and were not disappointed. Jorge (the owner) was responsive, very professional, timely and offered helpful advice about care / maintenance. I requested an initial estimate and covered the majority of questions thru Yelp, shared photos and a floor plan over text, and covered followup questions with Jorge over text and a brief walkthrough meeting I requested so I could get better acquainted with them and be completely transparent about the project scope for our specific space so there wouldn't be any surprises down the road (we have high ceilings and structural beams that might be tricky). Jorge was quick to meet and he provided a firm estimate in writing to me over email. Jorge provided a very competitive quote for the job and he required no advance deposit (most required 10-50% down). He also accepted credit card payment as an option, with full payment expected only when they completed the project (note: they were the only painter of the 5 that accepted credit cards). Jorge and Carlos showed up on time every morning, was able to provide a COI to meet my bldg's requirements, and they came ready to work with all the necessary paint and supplies. They took good care to move / cover our furniture and hardwood floors so they were protected and made sure to return everything clean and put back in place. Jorge encouraged us to identify any holes we may need patched or painting misses that needed correction - tbh, most of these things were proactively detected by them first. They really paid meticulous attention to ensure the quality of their work - and invited us to call them if we had any issues after the project (since we have furniture being delivered following the project). We fortunately had a little paint leftover so we're keeping it just in case we scuff any of the new paint in the process. They were done with the project in 2 days (others quoted me for 3-5 days with 2-4 painters). They were truly a pleasure to work with. We chose 2 dark colors and 1 light color - everything got at least 2 coats of paint but the dark colors required at least 4 coats. It came out beautifully (see pictures). I can't thank Jorge and Carlos enough. Highly recommend you check them out for yourself - I doubt you'll be disappointed.

This is the worst establishment and business known to man! I'm really curious how home depot is…read morestill in business. Went there in July to order appliances, due to pandemic we were told it would take 6 weeks. Ok we can live with that. They had a bundle sale, the more you more the more they took off. 6 appliances = $600 off purchase. For whatever reason the gentleman said oh no it doesn't work for what you got, our microwave was under $300 so the discount didn't apply. Ok so we opted not to get a stove and just get a microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, dryer and fridge. When we saw our bill he never took off the stove. He has to cancel and re do and we were there for over 3 hours with this guy trying to figure it out. We finally leave and see he gave us a bill that had the stove and stove parts on it, hook ups on some that we didn't ask to be hooked up and no insurance on items we wanted insurance on, it was a huge mess. Called the store like 5 times (constantly being hung up on and also almost impossible to get through) it was so ridiculous I went back to the store in person to speak to someone and get it straightened out. Had to wait over an hour for someone because they were on lunch, then when they came he said oh I can't help you you need a manager. So then I had to wait another half hour for a manager to become available. $600 of over charges! Then I get home look through everything and see hmm a discount wasn't applied to one of the appliances. I called corporate and had them fix it, $30 back for that. I mean the amount of times we called and had to get our receipt fixed was ridiculous and the over-chargement was insane ! Wait it gets WORSE ! Delivery day is here, they come in and say oh the fridge won't fit through the doorway sorry can't deliver. I said oh shoot really? Ok I measured and they said it needed another inch of wiggle room I need to re order. So they (delivery guys) call and cancel the fridge and tell me I need to speak to someone on the phone and order a new one. Well every goddamn fridge that "fits" is out of stock or back ordered til DECEMBER. It's August. I said I'll have to call back. So because of the fridge they took every other appliance back. Wouldn't leave the washer or dryer or anything. I had to call and set up a new delivery time. Turns out the fridge would fit fine by removing one side of the frame and so I called and said I wanted the fridge added back to the order and within that two hour time frame they told me no it was out of stock!?! Mind you it was on the truck when they arrived !?! Such BS! They call and set up an new delivery date and no fridge with the order. Can't find a fridge at all. Well Lowe's had one and delivered the next day and hooked it all up ! Well let me tell you, next time go to Lowe's because my horror story with Home Depot still isn't over. They call the following Wednesday saying they are here to install the dishwasher ! What dishwasher !?! They took it away remember !? When they came to deliver everything the following Saturday (new delivery day ) I was in the hospital delivering my baby. I had to have my sister go and make sure everything was ok, they REFUSED to hook up appliances because they said we canceled the hook up! We never did, they called on Wednesday and we didn't have any appliances to be hooked up ! So I come home to a fucking dishwasher in my living room, none of my appliances hooked up besides my fridge thanks to Lowe's and a new born baby. I had to call they said oh we will get someone out there first thing Monday !!!!!!!!!!!! I had to call a local plumber and have them come out and do the installation and haul always. Mind you I paid for Home Depot to haul away the old, had to call and fight for my money back, then had to go inside and fight because they never refunded me for Haul always and hookups. It was the worst experience and nightmare. I will not give them any of my business at any capacity. I hate Home Depot.
