Once we were here for a couple of months we decided to have another room painted (the lack of fresh paint in this space was a far cry from the other rooms). At the start, we received a few different quotes and John's was comparable and cheaper than others. They were also able start and finish sooner than the other companies. We worked with Jeremy who was informative, prompt, and an overall nice guy. There were a few different crews that worked in the house. They were all very professional, courteous, and did a nice job prepping and cleaning up. There were a few minor things that needed to be addressed after the fact. Jeremy arranged for his crew to come back to fix them very quickly. We're very happy with the work that John's painting did and highly recommend them to anyone considering companies. He also met my need to get the work done as soon as possible. In fact, after telling me that there was a two-month waiting list, once I approved the estimate, they showed up to begin the job just two days later. Not sure how that happened, but I'm not complaining. Steven, the job foreman, was very professional and highly skilled, notwithstanding his youth. Why do people I meet keep getting younger? He is a perfectionist, a virtue which you rarely encounter with home contractors. He even helped guide me with the color selection. I threw him a few curve balls during the job, and he did everything I asked him to do with a smile. He and his crew were on time every day, and were all polite, neat, and hard-working. They are acrobats on high ladders, and barely dripped a drop of paint where it didn't belong. The finished job looks great, and exceeded my expectations. It is also worth mentioning that Wilber's guarantees the durability of the paint job for three years. All the others who bid offered a two year guarantee. I can't speak to their other services, but I would hire Wilber's again for a major painting project, and recommend them.

He and his carpenter Marcio were knowledgeable and very helpful to help us design on the spot exactly how to fix what the previous homeowner had neglected. They were FAST without sacrificing quality. Every night they cleaned up and left the place accessible. We later had his team come paint everything as well; we could never paint ourselves our cathedral ceiling living room and could not be happier with the outcome. They did tons of prep work to prepare everything so that no mistakes were painted over but truly updated. As soon as we can save a bit more, we will have no hesitation in hiring him to update our bathrooms and/or kitchen. His pricing is very reasonable and he worked with us to get a price that not only we were happy with but what was fair for his workers and level of expertise. And when I pushed at the end of the day, they hadn't even considered getting the pre-ordered carpet out of the warehouse and trying to have their installers come at the end of the day (it was a small Job). Then had the audacity to tell me I was "lucky they made a mistake on the estimate" and so they would honor their commitment to pricing rather than give a discount for their mistake. Submitting this review after reading several recent negative reviews of work done by Gikas. We have…read moreused Gikas for several projects over a period of years. Most recently a basement overhaul to use the space as a social/entertaining area. As with earlier projects, we are totally pleased with all aspects of their work. They tiled the entire floor area, painted the walls and installed new lighting. They even installed a large wall TV. While I have no reason to doubt the negative reviews, that has never been our experience. I would not hesitate to contact them for projects in the future.
