Ricciardi Brothers offered a full selection of this brand's paint including their Bath and Spa Aura line which promised mildew-resistance, better coverage, richer colors, and zero VOCs (volatile organic compounds that pollute indoor air). I really loved the more refined color choices versus those offered at Home Depot and Lowes. Upon entering, there's a consultation table where you can discuss colors with an associate if needed. Further in on the right is a wall full of paint swatches galore. I got 3 samples then chose one. On my second visit to actually buy cans of my selection, they recommended the perfect amount of paint to buy, but I recommend buying a little extra for future touch ups in case of accidental damage. Also, in my own humble experience, even with the right mixing ratios, paint colors batch-to-batch are never really the same. Besides paint, this place offers higher quality paint equipment than larger home improvement stores and sometimes, they're worth it.

I ordered furniture that had to be assembled and there were not the correct number of screws so I rushed in flustered and they ease my stress and found the exact right pieces to help me finish the project. They always ask if you need anything else. I tried to build a play set for my grandchild and vey sport but I mistakenly got a wrong piece stuck and could not get it out I rushed over again almost crying and asked what could I do? They very patiently and kindly were able to take apart and asked if I had brought the screws with me they were going to attach the pieces properly for me I am forever grateful for their guidance on paint selections, finishes. Accessories needed to complete the project. Over the years I have gone on knowing what needed, or mostly knew what I wanted to do but not what I needed to eat it done and they guided me on how to hand heavy mirrors and shelving. Repair or patch wood finishes that have been damaged. Adding the kindness, patience and care they show every customer, I am genuinely grateful for a local small business.Honestly the prices compare to big box stores where it's sometimes hard to find what you need and you certainly will not get the care and attention you receive here. At 4:10 the manager walks past us (as he helps a woman take out 4 gallons of paint to her car) and says to us "I'm not mixing anymore paint! We were supposed to close at 4!!" One of his coworkers looks at us and goes "I know you guys were waiting but he won't mix paint for you since he's the manager". I literally look at him and go but we were here early- why would he think we just walked in (the line wrapped around their paper towels and fertilizer bags)? We spend a lot of money shopping local, but his absolute rude attitude was completely uncalled for and unjustified- will not shop here again. We'll be giving our business to Berkeley Hardware for Benjamin Moore paint going forward.

From high-quality primers and top-rated Benjamin Moore paints, to tools for protecting, reaching, mixing and window glazing, Ricciardi Brothers carries just about everything under the sun. The store's smallish size also means that it's a lot easier to gather everything you need for your painting project a lot faster than if you were to visit one of those faceless, big-box tool emporiums where chasing down expert help is practically a sport. Here, the experts are always a stone's throw away and happy to help (if they're not already inundated helping others). As with most places, a pleasant demeanor and a kind word goes a long way. Oh, and they accept smartphone-enable payments, which personally saved me a trip back home for my wallet on my most recent visit. Really awesome!

I recently needed to pick up some pressure treated lumber. They were close to the job so I chose to go there. They sold me 2x8x12's at the counter. When I got to the yard to pick them up I was told they don't have them but they have 16's. I jokingly said can I bring the 4' of waste back? I just received the invoice for the adjustment. Over twice as much more for waste!! I called the owner to speak with him about an adjustment. He told me I shouldn't have bought them. If the guy inside said we don't have them I would have gone someplace else! Never in my widest dreams did I think someone would charge me twice as much for something I cant use. Your inability to stock your yard properly should not cost me. I'm Done doing business with you!
