They even came to our house twice to measure everything to make sure the design worked and the size of kitchen cabinets to make sure our built in refrigerator and pantry cabinets were the right sizes. HOWEVER, after sale and delivery the nightmare started! Our carpenter showed up to start the project and looked at the design that Express Union Tile gave us, and the design was missing a whole section above the stove! Then came the pantry installation. He noticed that the design they gave us was missing an entire floor to ceiling panel! So mid project I had to call them to show them the flaw in the design..... of course they didn't apologize and instead charged me to have new panels ordered. We had no choice but to pay. THEN, after we finished the pantry installation, the refrigerator came and the guys couldn't get it to be flush with the cabinets. Turns out that the depth of panels they ordered for us was actually less than the size of the panels that was on their design and what we paid for! I called them multiple times and even spoke with the owner, Mike. He didn't accept any responsibility and blamed our carpenter, wall, and pretty much everyone except themselves! We're now having to call the cabinet manufacturer, Better Business Bureau, Consumer Affairs, etc to recover.

In all I replaced all my cabinets, got new flooring, sink, backsplash and we decided to do Quartz countertops. All was finished within 4 weeks. Wanderli and his team did an awesome job. She directed me to visit Reliance Grantie and Marble in Kenilworth since I didn't find anything I liked in Springfield. I found a product and emailed her the details as well as my measurements. She acknowledge receiving my email but never sent me a proposal. I followed up several times only to hear it will be forthcoming. She was out for a few days and a coworker said she would send me a proposal. Never received a proposal. On July 16th I received an email from Melanie asking if I am still interested. I said yes, still waiting on a proposal. NEVER HEARD BACK. Very poor way to conduct business. Wasted close to two months of my time. If they weren't interested in my business, they should have said so. I've since moved on.

He also explains thoroughly in his down-to earth way why one costs more than the other and the quality of the items. Expect to sit with him on several working sessions. It's worth it since it's a huge investment. Cabinetry he offers are by Rutt, Sokee, and Millbrook (what we got)...great quality cabinetry. We asked him to design our kitchen but he also does office and bathroom cabinetry. He also sells appliances and contracts work for installation, granite or tile work. We went on our own with granite only because our builder has a good deal with another company. Tip - order the cabinetry hardware online instead through him... saves you $$$. His Manhattan showroom is huge and worth a see. The one in Millburn is only a handful of kitchen designs (one country, one traditional and one modern) but it gives you a taste of what Kitchen Expressions can do.

Please do not let the low estimate cost convince you to let him do work on your house. He just keeps adding costs during the project for things he should replace during a remodel. He started on my moms kitchen, bathroom and laundry room remodel . He never showed up on sites and none of his workers spoke English. It was incredibly hard to communicate with them even for little paint job where they completely painted the wrong color . Xavier planned for our kitchen to be done in a month . It's been 2 months now and it is not even near done . He apparently has his wedding and honeymoon which I understand . But he should not have agreed to take on our job until after and gave us a deadline he could not achieve. During this process he flooded my moms basement TWICE . My mom also didn't have hot water when NJ was hit in a winter storm . We had another contractor come to take a look around who did our roof a month prior and said our house almost blew up because Xavier and his workers had no idea what they were doing . I then proceeded to let Xavier know, and he blamed it on the old structure of the house . I renovated my 1900 house 3 years ago in Baltimore and NONE of this happened. This is clearly poor knowledge of actual renovation work . Additionally... here is where it gets worst . After all these mishaps, my mother started getting worried about them installing appliances and did not trust Xavier anymore . We started researching his license number and asked him for it and he kept making up excuses . We already took most of our money at this point . We are still in the midst of trying to get our money back. Please do yourself a favor and do some deep research before you hire this fraud. Go with someone with much more experience . This has been a nightmare !! They also faked their COVID test - didn't provide any names on the test . Everything about them was a fraud. One of the workers were coughing so much my mom asked for a COViD test . Xavier "told" us the guy tested negative. One week later my mom contracted COVID just as she assumed . I initially engaged Rene to assist us with getting cabinets for a kitchen remodel. I was certain…read morewhat I wanted, having renovated three kitchens before, and was having difficulty finding precisely what we were looking for - or at least finding it for a reasonable price. We used the Decora cabinets Rene suggested, and we are thrilled with them. The quality of the cabinets is just about as good as any you could buy, and our contractor remarked more than once how well they were made, as well as how perfect the finish is. When one cabinet arrived damaged by the shipper, Rene got us a replacement in very little time to keep the project on schedule. We also had a custom range hood made, and found Decora super easy to deal with in terms of price and time. Beyond helping us get exactly what we wanted (and completely within budget), Rene's suggestions and ideas from a design perspective brought our project to another level. The cabinets are merely a product, but Rene is an asset. We incorporated very single suggestion she made, and could not be happier. Our new kitchen is absolutely stunning, and it would definitely be less so if not for Rene. I could not imagine using anyone else for our next project.
