Wish I had read the reviews before ordering the washer dryer. Ordered on April 25th and delivery scheduled for 2 days later. Bought pedestals too but they were back ordered. I was told by the appliance rep that the washer dryer will be installed and the pedestals will be installed when they come. The delivery huy came and was very reluctant to install if the pedestals were not there. He told me the space us not enough and the items were too heavy so they might scratch the floor. I asked him then whats the best thing to do and he went out to talk to his manager. 10 minutes later I went out but they had left without informing me. I went to the store and was given the delivery department number. Called and explained the whole thing 3 times.meanwhile the pedestals were delivered. I was given another delivery date and I waitedand called past the delivery window and was shocked to learn that it wasnt loaded. Once again nobody informed. Today I got an email from lowes that they have refunded back on my card. Now this is surprising that I never asked for a refund and they are deciding on my behalf. Disgusting and very unprofessional attitude towards a customer. Please think not twice but ten times before you go to lowes. read more

*Reconsider Appliance Purchase Here* Please note if you are considering purchasing an appliance that is not physically in stock at their store location, it will be coming from their Third Party Warehouse - if you have any issues or require a refund, you have to deal with the Third Party (Not Lowe's). Both were horrible! We typically purchase our appliances at Home Depot but we found ourselves without a working refrigerator. The prices at Lowe's and Home Depot were comparable. But we were desperate and purchased a new fridge here because we saw that we could get next day delivery. Red flag #1: We purchased the fridge from an associate who kept stating that she did not work in the appliance department. She joked that she couldn't upsell us on anything because she had no clue. But we knew what we wanted. Again - we needed a fridge and we were promised next day delivery. Red flag #2: "They'll call you with a delivery time." We made the purchase at 9:04 AM. No one called us. When we decided to call the 800# on the receipt after 5:00 PM that same day, was when we're told our delivery time window. Red flag #3: We appreciate the early delivery. BUT the delivery team was TW0 hours before their actual delivery window and called us when they were in front of the house as I was ready to drop off my son at school and my husband was heading to work. Again, what's the point? Red flag #4: It's been years since we purchased a new fridge. No one at Lowe's provided us paperwork or informed us what we needed to prep for the delivery. We cleared the old appliance, but the delivery team complained about the old water hose being too tight to turn and when my husband offered to do it himself, they kept insisting they couldn't deliver it. We were the first delivery of the day and already this demotivated team just wanted to end their day with excuses. Red flag #5: When the fridge was unwrapped, it was damaged. We understand that they couldn't unwrap the box when it was loaded into the truck - since this was coming from LA and undoing the box would damage the appliance during transport. BUT - they insisted that we accept the damaged refrigerator and then call to schedule delivery for a new one. What? We refused delivery. So they said someone would call and reschedule. Red flag #5: NO ONE CALLED. We waited all day. We called later that afternoon and were told that we had a new case number and that we would be contacted within 24 hours for a new refrigerator. Again, we were told to wait for a call. What?!? So we waited and the next day - we heard nothing! We walked back into Lowe's for a refund and were told by Customer Service that since the refrigerator came from the Third Party Warehouse and not directly from the Lowe's location, we would have to deal with the Third Party for the refund. So there we were extremely frustrated, standing at the Customer Service Department with no refrigerator and out $3500. The manager told us that there was nothing they could do since the fridge was "delivered" (which we didn't actually receive - since it was damaged) by the Third Party. He then recommended that we go to the appliance department to see what they could do to help - thanks Store Manager for managing ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. "Out of our hands - blah blah blah - We can't do anything on our end..." *smh* The Appliance Associate was nice enough to call the Third Party directly and we overheard him say that they had us "scheduled" for a delivery. Wow. Again, NO ONE called us. We reiterated our request for a refund and we luckily had no more issues after this. We even called our credit card company to dispute the charge but fortunately, and were given a refund within 24 hours. We went with Home Depot the next day. Even though it took a few days to wait for our fridge, there were no red flags. Excellent in store service. They explained to us that they used Temco for deliveries. Delivery time frame was easily trackable and on-line and via text! Imagine that! The delivery team was local and they even helped us take down our door since our doorway was tight, and put it back up. We were so impressed with them! We learned our lesson - good things come to those who wait. Never again Lowe's. NEVER again. Waste of time and effort. read more

He stated that when he was our age(15) he had a bigger d*** than us. Choose this Lowe's to get your project absolutely RUINED! Ordered a toilet and a range hood on 11/22/2021 and they promised a delivery date of 11/30. It then becomes 12/04 on the day before the promised date, then 12/08, then 12/12, then 12/16. I called the customer service somewhere between (who can remember when? It's been delayed 4 times now!), and they told me the toilet has no status update and maybe I can just wait another few days. I wasn't able to get someone on the phone for customer service afterward so I went to the store directly. They told me the shipping for the toilet hasn't had any status update since the beginning. Imagine sitting on a shipment with no updates for 2 weeks and doing ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about it. Anyway, I canceled the toilet and they told me the range hood can be delivered on 12/14. GUESS WHAT? On the next day, it becomes 12/20. Called customer service and they said they don't know why it was changed and so they changed it back to 12/14. Not even an hour later it got delayed to 12/18 again. At this point, I am fed up and just went ahead and canceled the whole order. Nearly one month back and forth and all I managed to get from Lowe's is just a gaping hole in my bathroom and hours and hours of time wasted calling and driving. I am such a clown for not giving them up sooner! Also tried to have carpet installed from them. BIG BIG MISTAKE. On the quote, they said the carpet will be available on 12/08/2021. GUESS WHAT AGAIN? When I asked they told me it won't be ready until 12/27. RIDICULOUS! Now we have to move in before the carpet is installed and then move everything around for the installation. Today I stopped into Lowe's to ask for a refund of an appt to measure for a frig that we decided not to purchase for various reasons. Customer Service advised I would need to talk to Rosa, the Installed Sales Manager. She came up to Customer Service and was familiar with the appts that were in process and was super accommodating about giving us the refund and advice about other products that might fit our need better... she was VERY on top of things. Then, while shopping in the store I ran into Rosa again and she asked if I needed help. She was both friendly and helpful and all about Customer Service, something I appreciate more than ever! read more

I would give 0 or negative stars if I could. I bought a new fridge and washer/dryer unit from Lowe's in early November to have it delivered/installed and also haul away my old appliances. It's been an absolute nightmare. Lowe's need to take more accountability for their 3rd party delivery service Pilot for the horrible experience in the last 3.5 weeks: First delivery attempt failure: Lowe's store rep told me the delivery guys would unstack my stackable washer and dryer so that they would only haul away the dryer. This is a lie. Delivery guys arrived and refused to service the order and left. Also only got a 15 min before arrival call vs. the 30 min arrival call per standard. Second delivery attempt failure: Washer and dryer appliance was damaged upon delivery. Also only got a 10 min before arrival call vs. the 30 min arrival call per standard. We were able to rush there before they left but it was futile since delivery couldn't happen anyways. Third delivery attempt failure: Driver verbally told me he would wait 30 minutes since he called when he was only 5 minutes away. He did not wait and left. Tried calling him and he said he knows he promised but he couldn't wait and will not turn around to come back. Fourth delivery attempt (finally success): Got a time window of 11am - 3pm. Got a call from the driver at 9am that he was 20 minutes away. I was 40 minutes away from the house and they wouldn't wait. I had to call a friend because the delivery guy would not come back despite his early arrival outside the agreed time window. I called both Pilot (their 3rd party delivery service) and Lowe's to log this complaint and experience. I was HUNG UP on both calls. It is crazy the lack of decency and professionalism this company has. WORST experience ever. I made a $10K full house appliance order 5 months ago and the store gave me incorrect info and resulted in weeks of not having my appliances installed. I wish I learned this mistake and not have bought more appliances from them. This has made me a never returning customer. I'm taking my money elsewhere. read more

The Amazing Mystery of the Lowe's! This place is very clean, organized, well stocked & nice. It is a model home improvement store. Employees are helpful & attending to the customers. Some of the employees are a bit clueless & dinghy. Punctuality of some departments is not their routine but they try to satisfy your needs. Lowe's is good for some specific items which cannot be found elsewhere. For instance, I purchased a steel door with sliding window & screen built in it on the top, for the outdoors. Steel, because it wouldn't rust or rot by the rain easily. I needed it to be installed for the laundry room. It become the laundry room's door to the backyard. This type of heavy-duty door with window could not be found anywhere but at Lowe's. I needed the window for ventilation because laundry room can get stuffy & hot. The funny thing is that the employee in charge of the section did not even know that he had the door. I saw the door online & I directed him to the door & purchased it! Didn't I tell you some of the employees are dinghy?! In comparison with Home Depot Tech Center Poway, Pricewise, on some items they are competitive with Home Depot but on other items, they are pricier than Home Depot. As far as variety & selection, Home Depot has more stuff but as I stated, Lowe's has specific items of its own. Garden selection is tidy, organized & neat but not as much in variety as Home Depot. The Amazing Mystery of the Lowe's Now you may ask, what is the mystery? It is amazing how this place has been in business for so many years! Every time I go there, there are more employees over there than customers! No customer in sight but employees standing all over, the place is all tidy & nice, all dressed up & nowhere to go! First, I thought it was only me, because I go there early in the mornings but then my contractors also stated that they always wonder how this place stays in business! My dryer has been working on and off for months. Then just stopped. I knew I needed a new one but I couldn't find one the same size that didn't sacrifice load size. I had trouble figuring out what I needed to purchase online, so I went into the store. All employees are in face masks. They offer hand sanitizer at the entrance and exits. Social distancing in the lines. I waited until the holiday sales and Lowe's had the best price. I also upgraded from electric to gas. Lowe's also had the best price for a gas model in the max size that would fit in my house. These are things you need to know. It will cost $30 for removal of the old unit AND if you want free install/setup you must purchase all the accessories. They would not install if I wanted to use my old venting. I purchased on a Friday night, they delivered on Monday a holiday! I was called Sunday night and given my delivery window of 2pm-6pm. Monday I got a text message at 12:50pm stating they would be there in 10 minutes, they arrived in 2 minutes! Luckily I was home and didn't leave for lunch. Or I would have missed my delivery. Glad they came early but would have liked more warning. Delivery guys had masks on which was great. They didn't have any shoe covers, I had to lay down towels to protect my new carpet. I wasn't happy with how rough they were with my new dryer. They banged my metal screen door lock so hard it doesn't lock smoothly anymore. Also they didn't really try that hard to keep off my carpet even though I put coverings down. After the install was done they stepped out to let me test out the dryer and make sure everything worked before I would sign the delivery documents. Which I didn't get a copy of, you would have to take a picture if you wanted it. Overall my experience with this order and delivery. Ordering in person is best, you can find out about all the exceptions and fine print. It was easier to do in person than guessing what accessories I needed. Delivery wasn't the best, I know they are busy but I don't want a broken new dryer. They were wearing masks which I appreciated. read more

I am sharing this review in the hopes that at least someone will see this and know what kind of experience to expect--at least at this particular location. I recently moved to a new house and so I needed a washer and dryer delivered and set up. I had my delivery scheduled for 7/14/21 early afternoon. Seems simple enough. I get the day off of work and wait for them to come. Later in the day, suddenly my delivery is rescheduled for early evening. Okay--a bit inconvenient but I totally understand, given how busy they must be. Early evening comes around, and an employee shows up in a truck. He gets off the truck, laughs and says "I don't have your appliances man!" At this point I can't tell if he's joking, as he's laughing as he is telling this to me. It then dawns on me that he was being serious. He then tells me "sorry man you'll have to reschedule it", and just drives away. Immediately after, I spend the next 2 hours trying to call the store and nobody answers the phone. I wait until the next morning and I was finally able to reach someone. I spoke with "Justin" and he indicated to me that they had made a mistake on their end, and they assured me it would be delivered today. The evening rolls around and I have yet to take delivery of the appliances, or receive any updates on the order. Still, no one answers the phone when I try to call the store for an update. As of this review, I have yet to receive any updates from Lowe's. What they are doing here is absolutely criminal. Not sure if this is an issue with this particular store or if it's more widespread. Either way, I would not recommend purchasing anything here for delivery. Absolutely horrible communication with the customer, and not to mention my order was rescheduled multiple times and I have still not received what I purchased. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. This was our first and last time using Lowe's for purchasing appliances. This has been an absolute nightmare trying to get an UNDAMAGED washer delivered through their third party delivery service. After waiting for over a week (and we paid for hauling of the old laundry machines so we were left without a washer) and three attempts of damaged washers and wasting my time staying home from work waiting for delivery and hours trying to get someone on the phone with customer care to resolve our situation, the dismissiveness and lack of care for our situation resulted in a refund and no further action and NO WASHER. They have more employees on the floor than most retail places, yet your lucky to find what you need. Even special order, this was the only place that had what I needed, yet having anyone find it is a process. The order took over three weeks to get into their store (just a grate for a stove nothing special) Waited over 30 min while they tried locating the item I received and email and call about. They never found it! The returns woman explained they change how they do the online stuff and think it's working for them but it's not. This is an update on Lowe's customer service. After the frustration above. One particular employee went above and beyond to find the Grate I ordered. She went out of her way to call me and hold it so it wouldn't get lost again. If Lowe's had more employees like DeeAnn, they might have returning customers. I just happened to vent my frustration to her, while it wasn't her department, she went out of her way to provide great customer service. While I would love to give DeeAnn 5 stars, Lowe's other employees are lacking in providing good customer service. Will F. Store Director I typically don't do complaints on reviews as I feel like it would never be resolved but I figured I'd give it a try. This was the first time I've ever felt invisible as a customer. Having worked in the service industry for a long time, I know when a customer exaggerates on wait time. Granted, the 3 associates at the Appliance Department were busy helping other clients: one senior associate was helping a couple and 2 guys who look like they were in their late 20s/early 30s were helping one client -- so it was what looked like a busy Tuesday night for them. I stood there for 10+ minutes, waiting to be helped, waiting to even be acknowledged. A simple "we'll be right with you" would have sufficed but to no avail. The 2 guys got done with their client, and I stood there, still waiting to be acknowledged. I even made a joke -- "it looks like it's a busy Tuesday night for you guys" -- to try and build some rapport. Instead, they assisted other clients who just arrived. I went to Customer Service not to complain but to ask for help. I asked to see a supervisor so that in the process, I could also provide some feedback about my interaction. The man who was there then relayed it to a younger woman who earlier, passed by me at the Appliance Center, while she was on the phone to what sounded like a personal phone call. When I asked her that I needed to be helped, she then proceeded to go to the "back" but at this point I was already disappointed with the entire experience. I asked her who the Store Director was and she pointed at the wall behind me with gusto. Will, if by any chance you are reading this review, this is more to inform you that you have employees who are ready to throw you under the bus and does not have ownership of issues and willingness to help. Continued updates on the failed installation project. We have now hit the 1 year anniversary of the fencing project without resolution. Lowes has blaming the installers, the installers have disappeared, new installers have given recommendations to Lowe's, and Lowe's continues to take no action at all. They have told us they ordered the new fence, then a month later no order was processed, then a month later we can't talk to them, and then decided to blame their original employee (who also appears to not be findable). We now have propped our front gate open as are afraid we will void warrantee if we remove and the side gate now swells shut at any rain fall this season (and the side latch blocks the door further). We are in the process of going to small claims court because they simply will not refund the money for the gates (approx. 1K in total). We are dumbfounded that they would prefer to go this route then simply say mea culpa and give us the refund while we pursue another route to complete the project. read more

The customer service was OK, I feel like great customer service will show it self, and in this case It just wasn't happening, I had a large list of things to get and trying to find the right person in each area was really hard, which made my visit at this store a bit frustrating, also the way the store had their items set up was honestly confusing. Gegardless of the fact I still got my shopping done and found all of my items, so it was not a total failure. I will say sorry to this lows but I feel like some of your items are placed in the wrong sections, like tie wire in painting? I have had the absolute worst experience with the Poway Lowe's Flooring Dept. I ordered $10,000 worth of hardwood flooring 2 months ago and there have been nothing but problems. There have been 3 installation dates and nobody has showed up. They also ordered the wrong product , forgot to order the glue (and wanted me to pay an additional $650), and as of yesterday they delivered the wrong flooring. They have given me wrong information about the installation process. There is so much more but the bottom line is please do not use Lowe's for your flooring. A neighbor was also telling me that she had the exact same experience about a year ago when she was remodeling her kitchen. Hoping to save someone else from a huge headache. read more

We've actually had really good experiences every time we shopped at this Lowe's and for a few pandemic projects, it was the same story. The staff has always been super friendly, and even in some cases even funny. Our last visit when they didn't have what we needed, the guy helping us looked over both shoulders and then whispered, "you know I'm not supposed to be telling you this, but the "orange guys" have those. We thought it was just the funniest thing. Situations always pop up at home improvements stores like air conditioner we bought that didn't work or the storage shed that was delivered a week late. Why did they install a wood gate instead of telling us that a vinyl gate would be better? I can't seem to get my gate/fencing issue resolved and have spent my precious time calling Installation Support without seeing results or movement for at least 6 months. The Lowes Poway store has for three months provided incredibly horrific service to my 84-year-old mother who ordered a dishwasher on March 14 and two defective dishwashers were delivered over the course of many months of aggravation and phone calls, not showing up for scheduled appointments. Not calling when they're not gonna show up. no callbacks when she leaves a message, being transferred to no one, miss direction and smoke and mirrors from Lowe's All around. (I suspect to get past their 90 day return policy or her visa dispute policy). I have never seen such incompetence and disregard for a person, especially an elderly woman, from a company . No more wandering aisles for 45 minutes, then waiting behind a couple who want to make absolutely sure there are no more cases of DDT hidden in the back, then waiting another 20 minutes for the Home Depot clerk to help the other nice couple who cut in front of you, only to be told that the clerk works in plumbing and NOT faucets, thus cannot possibly help since once brings water while the other dispenses it, but he'll be sure to let the faucet guy know someone needs help assuming the faucet guy is not waiting to be bailed out of prison. Best yet, cashiers who don't assume you're a criminal. I'm so happy that we have Lowes in Poway. It's an extra two miles of driving each way, but more than makes up for it in time saved. The store is very large with a big selection of merchandise which also sometimes make it difficult to quickly locate something when you're inside. I find the online ordering for store pickup really convenient. There's a dedicated online order pickup desk to the left of the shopping carts before you get into the main area of the store so you don't have to wait in the same line for customer service and returns. You can also park in a designated spot and use the app to use the curbside pickup option. I also had an experience where one item in a buy one get one free package was out of stock. Shawn, one of the supervisors, was extremely helpful. He first helped me call other nearby Lowes locations in order to try to hold the item there and once that didn't work, he was able to order the product for pickup at the store even though the website was not allowing it. read more

Purchased a refrigerator. Was given a 4 hour window for the delivery and installation. Delivery was not made during that day due to a damaged component. Lowes knew about the problem but never called to inform me. I had to chase down the solution (called CS and also had to drive to the store) and was given no consideration. In this day and age there is no reason not to call when a delivery cannot be made for any reason. Lowes wasted 6 hours of my time and I would suggest you find another appliance dealer that has better business processes. read more

Came into the store on 11/24 to look at refrigerators for our new home. We asked a few guys standing by the fridges regarding best ones and none of them knew. They went around the store and found a man named Perry to help us out. Perry was very friendly with a great personality. He was quirky and funny. Made you feel very comfortable and he did not pitch sales like a straight edge sales man. He joked with you but was also so knowledgeable about the products! Perry printed out the info for the two fridges we were interested in and let us know to call him with any questions. We headed home and did our research and finally decided on a fridge. Two days later, we called the store to make the order. First time, the customer service rep hung up on us. Second time, they transferred us to appliances and we never got connected. We hung up and tried to call again. Third time, we got to appliances and was able to speak to Perry but Perry put us on a long hold and then never came back to us. We called back again but Perry was unable to pull anything up in the system. After that, we decided to give up and shop around, rather than go through the hassle of getting a fridge through them. read more
