OD (washer) (less than or equal to) OD(tube) AND OD (washer) (greater than) ID(tube) ID (center hole of washer) (less than) OD (knot in "tent tube elastic"!!! Note: YELP does not allow algebraic symbols to be used in their reviews. Probably because their software team failed algebra. This is a standard construction "tent tube" system re-used for a display system, whereby the aluminum tubing supports a retractable display. There is a center elastic band similar to those used in tent systems. The washer will prevent the elastic band from retracting. The tube sits in a plastic receiver. English system washer sizes (which I already tried) are too large an OD. I found a metric size which worked perfectly. 99 cents. You decided to mansplain to me that my approach was all wrong. Why? Because I'm a 65 year old female wearing a pink blouse? Let me solve my own engineering problems please. One phone call to Marshall's Industrial and the lady did a quick check and confirmed. The place is like Harbor Freight but kind of a backstreet locals type place, behind Natsumi & Starbucks. They knew exactly which aisle to send me and the big dude in Orange knew exactly what bins to look for. Again, nobody across SD had M3 set screws. They did. They have a bunch of stuff there I may be looking to revisit again some day. Got a handful of them babies for under a $1.

I found the appropriate bolt with the proper thread that most stores do not carry a large washer and I use a metal sealant to include two parts and drilled holes to screw them into the bottom of the table. Lo and behold, Ace was comparable in price and had a better selection. This wasn't the first time I went to Ace either. They beat the price for a garbage disposal by $50 just a week previous. This location is well stocked and has friendly help. They also have a bbq supply place attached that has some cool stuff. I've even bought my stocking stuffers here in the past. I highly, highly recommend this location. Parking is available in the back for those who are afraid of trying to find a spot. Great option for your hardware needs.

Pies??!!…read more Yes, you heard right, Ripon, CA's The Pie Company has a deal with Ace that entails a big freezer full of delectable, whole pies to be found near the front of this store. As a pie fan who grew up down South and has baked my share of homemade pies over the years, my standards are high. Besides the hand pies at Pop Pie, and NoCo's shuttered Betty's Pie Whole, I hadn't found a quality local pie purveyor with multiple pie options. Until today. Ace's freezer is stocked with at least 3 different apple pie variations, and tons of other fresh fruit-based options like blueberry, boysenberry, mixed berry, peach and apricot. I took an apricot pie home ($18.99), followed the simple bake instructions and was rewarded with a delicious final product. You can taste the real butter in the crust, the filling is hearty and features large apricot chunks, and the whole pie sings with delicious, well balanced flavors. Can't wait to try boysenberry and other less common flavors next time I'm hit with a pie craving and feeling too lazy to bake my own.
