I had a problem with my Kenmore Drier machine; it was working intermittently. I called Dependable Appliance and talked to Gary. He could have easily charged me $80 to come to our home and diagnose the issue, instead he patiently asked me a series of questions on what precisely was occurring in the drier and offered me free advice on how to solve the issue. Rarely have I seen such honesty and I would strongly recommend Gary for any appliance service! read more

Big thanks to Gary for coming out quickly to repair our Bosch dishwasher! Before coming out he explained the range of issues it could be and the range of repair prices so there would be no suprises. He showed up on time, quickly diagnosed it, and was back the next day with the part and left us with a working machine. Great guy, very reasonably priced service, would highly recommend! read more

Well, ChatGPT and another company diagnosed my squeaky stackable GE washer as a simple belt replacement. I wasn't too confident it was that easy so I called this company and spoke to Gary. I sent him a video and just by watching the video and listening to the squeak, he told me he was 99% sure it was not the belt but something more serious. Gary recommended not repairing due to the age of the washer. He didn't even push a diagnostic call for 80 bucks on me. I appreciate that kind of honesty and would absolutely use this company. read more

I continue to call on Gary whenever I need an excellent appliance repair person. Since repairing my dryer, he has diagnosed my microwave, steered me to a new dishwasher rather than waste money on my beyond repair old one, and saved my old washer that is operating like new again! All with continued professionalism, step-by-step updates, very reasonable prices, and offering as much flexibility in options as he can. There is no other repair service than him. Thank you!!! read more

Dependable Appliance Service is my go to when one of the appliances in my home has an issue. Gary was responsive to my call and gave me an appointment with quick turn around. He gave me an honest and accurate (and affordable) estimate, and explained the issue to me. Now the work is done. My LG dryer is now working (quietly) again! Over the summer when our washer pump stopped working he was able to diagnose and repair that as well. (Several years ago in a prior home he also was able to diagnose our built in microwave issue and save us from a costly replacement.) I can't say enough how grateful I am! Thousands of dollars that would have been for replacement appliances saved! Thank you Gary & Dependable Appliance Service! read more

Gary helped us out early March and we couldn't be happier with his service. We reached out through Yelp to see if he could fix our dryer. He was the first one I saw near us who was open on a Sunday afternoon. He replied quickly and was able to come check our dryer within a few hours. He was straightforward with what he found, how much the repair would cost, and approximately how long it would take to receive the part. He notified us as soon as the part arrived and called to set up a time to come back. He's so personable and prompt. We've used his services in the past to fix our freezer and would definitely use him again. read more

I observed Gary to be hard-working, efficient, professional and informative. Very courteous on the phone and in person. Worked around my schedule. Gary was such a lifesaver- in the middle of doing a load of laundry my cold water just stopped working. I do laundry nearly every day and my machine was a workhorse that had served me thus far for over 10 years. I called Gary and he was in the area and was over in 5 minutes. He quickly diagnosed the problem and said I needed a new valve and told me he could be back the next day. That evening he called and said he was able to get the part and could come over again that same day to fix it. He did just that and I was able to have my machine back in working order less than an hour later! Not only is Gary extremely nice, but he is honest, prompt and reliable. I would highly recommend him for any of your appliance issues. I am so happy my washer is living another day! Thank you, Gary! read more

Gary is great. My GE Monogram refrigerator (10 years old) stop working a few days ago. Gary came out the next day and said that the mother circuit board had gone bad. He tried to order one but the supply store said that they were back ordered for three weeks. 12.3.2023 - We have a 23 years old GE Monogram fridge that stopped in the early Saturday morning. We contacted Gary and he came out on the weekend to help us out. Very honest man, he helped revived our unit, but warned us that this is a temp fix and that we will encounter this issue again inthe future, just not sure if its today or a month from now. We need to replace a part, but he said since our fridge is so old, it will be difficult to find replacement. He will attempt to find it, but no promises. In the meantime, he advised us to purchase an inexpensive secondary fridge, just in case. Oh and he charged us only $60 for his time. So refreshing to find a knowledgeable person. 100% recommend Gary if you need help with your appliances. I understand why Gary gets the 5 stars across so many patrons. Thank you sir and we will definitely call again if needed. read more

Trust. It's what you want in a service person. Bottom line. I trust Gary. Within moments of speaking with him on the phone, I could sense he was someone to be trusted. And that's exactly what I experienced when he worked on several appliances in my house. He fixed our 20+ year old Whirlpool dryer that was making a screeching noise, but still drying. He has fixed our tank of an oven and stopped the screeching of the convection oven. He's reasonably priced and he takes such pride in his work. The older appliances will last longer than the new appliances with some maintenance along the way and we keep the old stuff from filling the landfills. If you have an appliance that needs fixing, I 100% trust that Gary will tell you the truth about whether to fix it. And if he can fix it, he's worth every penny for the job that he will do for you! We are in the initial phases for fixing a vent hood valve. It is a bit more complicated than one would think due to the difficulty of getting a part. Gary was very nice talking to me and we are scheduling an appointment. He was the most informative and realistic of the repair specialists I had talked to on the phone. Most did not want to even try to fix the vent hood. Hopefully, we can get this hood up and running after he visits. read more

Gary has been my go to appliance repair guy for years. He is great. He has assisted with an old washing machine, an old dryer, and now an ignition coil on our oven. I find him to be straight forward, honest, reliable, fast, and a great value. He has advised against certain repairs when they are not economical based on the condition of other parts but also tackled jobs that were burdensome but resulted in longer life for our appliance at a cost effect price point. I highly recommend him to all friends who have appliance service needs. read more
