Gary was such a lifesaver- in the middle of doing a load of laundry my cold water just stopped working. He tried to order one but the supply store said that they were back ordered for three weeks. 12.3.2023 - We have a 23 years old GE Monogram fridge that stopped in the early Saturday morning. We contacted Gary and he came out on the weekend to help us out. Very honest man, he helped revived our unit, but warned us that this is a temp fix and that we will encounter this issue again inthe future, just not sure if its today or a month from now. We need to replace a part, but he said since our fridge is so old, it will be difficult to find replacement. He will attempt to find it, but no promises. In the meantime, he advised us to purchase an inexpensive secondary fridge, just in case. Oh and he charged us only $60 for his time. Gary was great. The dishwasher wasn't draining. Gary responded and scheduled the service quickly. Answered questions about quote and walked me through different scenarios. He was quite methodical in his approach towards finding the problem. after he found the first small clog, and the dishwasher started draining again, he didn't stop there. My tenants texted me on a Friday morning that they had an emergency as their refridgerator had stopped cooling and food was defrosting quickly. After researching Yelp, I called several appliance repair companies and all responded that they could not visit until Saturday or Monday. However, Gary took the time to ask more questions. When he found out I had a10-12 yo Whirlpool, his voice became enthusiastic and told me he would move his appointments around so that he could come visit that same afternoon. Gary said he likes working on older appliances as they are easier to work on and parts are still available. Through the process of elimination and based on his extensive experience, he believed a temperature sensor had failed but could not be 100% sure until the refridgerator went through a 24 hour cycle. Thankfully, Gary had the OEM part in stock and, sure enough, after 24 hours my tenants confirmed with Gary that everything was working fine.
