These guys are amazing! Joseph spent a long time trying to fix an old refrigerator and finally determined that it was too far gone to be worth an expensive repair. I had a little accident with my Samsung oven, some plastic went down a slot underneath where the burners are, the plastic melted and caused a lot of smoke. I then had to use a fire extinguisher to stop the spewing smoke, needless to say this caused quite a mess. Joseph came by, took the inside apart and with a thoroughness rarely seen, painstakingly cleaned all the extinguisher powder and melted plastic perfectly. He reassembled everything back tested the oven, cleaned up and all is working great. When I initially called this company was very happy because the service technician that they sent out was prompt, courteous, kind, thorough and I would and will call on him again in a heartbeat. ( Radu Sipos). Cristian Sidor, the owner of this business was called more than a week ago to support his company warranty. Despite having a traditional thermometer showing the same rising temps, Cristian mansplained it was "just the sensor failing", which obviously makes no sense. He also man splained that I should probably make sure to close the freezer. It had not been opened for 5 days and still the temperature was increasing.... He didn't want to hear about it. He wasted his time and mine by replacing the sensor and then leaving. He said if the temperature did not cool the adequately, he would come back before leaving town for his birthday. He then changed his story to his leaving town and told me I should text him and he would make sure to have a technician here to service. And here I am at Thanksgiving week, I have a dying refrigerator and I now have to pay another company to finish the work Cristian Sidor if Teckrom refuses to honor. After his initial service call, Cristian Sidor, the owner of Teckrom, said he does not usually go out in the field. He also assured me that while he was leaving town for his birthday, he had technicians that would be here to service, if need be. All I had to do was text him directly and he would make sure I was covered. It is not obvious why the technicians are leaving this company. When your good service technicians walk away, your customers will follow and BRING their BUSINESS ELSEWHERE, clearly as Cristian, the OWNER OF THIS COMPANY is now suggesting. read more

Teckrom Top Appliance Repair Service I had my usual appliance repair service company to call but they wouldn't repair LG Refrigerators; therefore, I had to call an LG specialist & I'm glad I called Teckrom. Teckrom fixes all major brands & specializes in LG & Samsung. After doing a journalistic investigation, BBB, Licensing, Consumer Report & reviews, I discovered that Teckrom is a kosher business, been in business since 2015 with owner Cristian as a veteran expert since 1993! That was good enough for me. I saw a picture of Cristian with a Teckrom company shirt which the logo was a flag and map of Romania. This meant the company was Romanian owned. Cristian must be an American of Romanian born or root. In the past, I had good experiences with Romanian people. How could I tell the flag and map of Romania? I'm great at history & geography, also a world traveler! I called Cristian, he was very helpful & informative. I text him the model & serial number tag photo, my info & what he required. He scheduled me the next day at my convenience. That was fast! Punctual on the next day Joseph showed up, explained to me the problem & how much it will cost. I OKed it & he went to order the parts. In a few days, he got the icemaker & the valve for the back, he came right over & fixed the refrigerator. Teckrom gave me 6 months warranty. Joseph been doing this for a long time & he was very informative. He gave me some great information tips on appliances: * Buy KitchenAid & Whirlpool because they never breakdown * LG & Samsung are good brands, but parts are expensive & they breakdown * Don't use Quick Ice, it exhausts & over freezes the icemaker, so the life gets short * Don't put oven on quick clean, it shortens the life, just clean manually * Buy portable microwaves, in cabinet microwaves have short life span and so on ... He also gave me his take on solar panels, solar batteries & how to go off grid. Joseph is a very informative man. I always watch my contractors work so I learn something new. Urgent Refrigerator coils cleaning - for 2 refrigerators. THE GOOD - 1. Fast response - Super quick response next morning by 10am. Wow! 2. Nice - Technician John was nice guy, easy to communicate with. 3. Solution - Solved our main urgent problem - which was figuring out why the garage around our second refrigerator smelled really bad - he found a dead mouse near the coils, probably trying to keep warm. Fried the meeces to pieces! 4. Guidance - Advised us on each refrigerator's lifecycle and recommendations for replacements. That helps us stay a step ahead. THE BAD (ish) - 1. Poor communications - No estimate provided by the office by phone or email, before the job. Technician was surprised by that, and had to deal with it on site by calling office and talking to supervisor, and looking at previous servicing charges. 2. Cost - Initially was going to charge $390 (for about 30 minutes of work). After I said no, he adjusted it to $255 based on previous servicing (which he also did not know about) and after talking to his supervisor. That still seems somewhat high for 30 (ish) minutes of work. That is about three times more than I get paid per hour, and I have a Master's degree and a much, much more complex job. Wow! 3. Poor cleanup - Technician did not clean up the kitchen area after the job, so there was dirt and grime all over the floor. Unfortunately, I did not notice it until after he left. May use them again, but not sure. Not completely satisfied with this visit. Will have to consider the circumstances in the future. Hope that helps! ------------------------- 2021 / September - (back dated) - 4.8 star review - old dishwasher assessment, new dishwasher installation, and refrigerator coils cleaning. Technician Joseph very good! Decent price for all the work. Initial assessment of $75 just to come out and take a look, seemed high. Joseph recommended a Bosch dishwasher, which we love! There's nothing worse than either your washer or dryer having issues, especially when you're doing laundry, which was the case. There was a funny sound coming from the washer, and it looked like it had trouble draining, and then it happened...the washer stopped and it remained locked. We were able to shake something and it finished the cycle, which was at the end. The extended warranty was already over, so called to make an appointment with the manufacturer's repair company. They couldn't come out for a week and I didn't have enough BVDs to last. LOL! Our neighbor recommended Teckrom. Made an appointment for Wednesday (three days after the fact) and Joseph called before coming over. He assessed the problem, said we needed a new pump, wasn't sure when he could install because ordering sometimes takes some time. Joseph sent a text Wednesday night, said they had one in stock and could install it on Friday morning. We got a text on Thursday saying he could come by in the late afternoon to do the installation. Come to find out, a dog waste bag was the culprit. But now, everything is right in the world now! The whole process was efficient and the service reasonably priced!
