The technician determined that the Ice maker in the fridge door has died. He thought he might have a replacement in his vehicle, but it was close but not quite the same one. A new one was ordered and he was back in a few days with the correct ice maker. Installed quickly and now we are getting ice again. Excellent work on the diagnosis and replacement. ALFA Appliance service was spot on! I would definitely recommend them for appliance repair and will call them the next time I'm in need of service. read more

My Samsung ice maker stopped making ice and it was impossible to remove the tray to look inside. I looked online to see if I could trouble shoot the problem, but nothing worked. That's when I called Alfa Appliances. Adam Islamov came to my house. He hit a few buttons on my fridge to see if my temp controls were correct and that was it! Adam told me he could replace the ice maker and it would cost $526. I paid for his "inspection" and he left. He never even set his work bag down! Since my refrigerator is still working fine, I chose to buy a bag of ice and call it a day. Last week my SON came over. He pulled the fridge out. I cleaned the filter at the back and unplugged the fridge. That worked! My ice maker is now working. Shouldn't Adam have done that? I don't think Adam had any intention of "getting his hands dirty", and thought NOT attempting to fix my ice maker and quoting me a ridiculous price for a new one was the better option. I would not recommend Alfa "repair" service. read more

Would not recommend. The technician was late to our scheduled appointment and also would miss the appointment time as well. This wasn't a one-off either - we've dealt with repeated delays and multiple missed appointments. There was a lack of professionalism over the phone scheduling appointments when they would text us saying the technician was on our way just to never show. Our washer still isn't fixed, and there's been no real urgency from them to get it resolved. Save yourself the hassle and go with someone else. Clearly customer service is not valued. read more

Adam did a great job replacing parts to make our stack washer run again. It was a challenging job since the washer is installed in a tight space with no rear access, but he put in the work necessary to successfully and professionally perform the repair. Good communication and same day repair. read more

Adam was able to repair my washing machine quickly and he even had the part he needed in his car. Great same day service. The price was right for the parts and labor. read more

There was initially a miscommunication between us, which was the reason the technician did not show up for our original appointment. However, after speaking with Adam, he came out the next day and fixed our washer. Adam was very polite, professional, and helpful, and I really appreciated how he handled the situation. I'm very happy with the service and would definitely recommend Adam to others. read more

I had a cracked glass top for my GE induction cooktop. ALFA was prompt in responding to my request and quickly replaced the glass topper with a top I had sourced. read more

Quick and pleasant responses, ready availability, and good price. I just reached out late last night for a washer repair and they already replied. I ended up going with someone else who replied around midnight, but if I had been a little bit patient I would have saved $20 on the service visit. Adam and Mike quoted $49 for their visit, whereas the other place was $69.99. Oh well. ALFA was very understanding when I didn't need their services. read more

Adam came out to natal a front door boot seal gasket on my LG washer. This company responded very quickly and communicated with me well. Adam came out as our last appointment of the day (which had been over 100 degrees that day in San Diego. He quickly diagnosed our repair and provided a very fair and reasonable estimate for the work. He was very informative, talking his way through what needed to be done. He was able to successfully install the new gasket in a small area where our washer was situated. Not to mention that our garage was like a sauna from the days' heat. He was thorough and efficient in his work. And completed the installation very quickly. Additionally he noticed a small water leak coming from our washer and noticed that the cap to our filter was not situated correctly, so he corrected that as well. I really appreciate his hard work, attention to detail, and efficiency with our repair/installation. I am thoroughly satisfied and would not hesitate to recommend this company to anyone ending appliance repairs! Thank you ALFA Appliances and Adam! read more

The technician showed up early, and quickly diagnosed and fixed my gas oven. Reasonably priced.

Adam from Alfa was fast and quick to diagnose the issue with our washer. He was in and out within 30 mins. Highly recommended. Cheapest diagnostic in town. read more

I wouldn't hire anyone else from now on!!! before I even 'hired' alfa, adam- the owner- suggested some possible solutions to the problems with my washer and dryer!! that sold me. Adam showed up for our appointment in time. immediately I felt that this was a great match. he listened, suggested solutions, and seemed to really care!! Adam was polite, professional, transparent, fair and knew what he was doing!! his price for a service call was lower than most and his 'fixin' prices were very reasonable and within the market range!! (a previous company -for the same problem- only put a bandied on the situation!!) please give Adam a try before you look anywhere else!! I promise I am not being 'paid' for this review!!) read more

After a year of not having ice, our Samsung refrigerator is finally fully working again! The water had also stopped dispensing just last month and he was able to fix that and replace the necessary parts to get everything running like new. He was professional, knowledgeable, and took the time to explain what was wrong and how he fixed it. We're so relieved to have both the ice maker and water dispenser working again. Highly recommend his service! Thank you Adam. read more

Modern appliances are a lot like Gen Z = they're built to fail. And while there is A LOT of information online on how to repair your stuff, when the rubber hits the road the opportunity cost of trying to be a repairman vs hiring someone that IS a repairman is generally not in your favor which is why I opted to hire ALFA when my fancy 1-year old GE washer suddenly decided that it didn't want to clean clothes any more. As painful as it was to realize that yes, my washer needed a professional hand after just a year of ownership, Adam from ALFA made it less painful by being a total pro - he arrived on time, was great with his communication, and ultimately fixed my machine so I can get back to washing loads of blood soaked clothes from my victims that...oh crap I said that out loud. All kidding aside, Adam was great and got my machine fixed quickly and was respectful of my home while he was here so at the end of the day did I overpay for some Chinese made part? Yup - most definitely, but my machine now works and the amount of time and energy I saved by hiring ALFA is significantly more than what I paid to get my washer back in action. If anything in my house breaks again, I will definitely call Adam/ALFA - good guy, respectful guy, and most importantly he gets the job done right. read more

We had a dishwasher leak and needed to have our 12-year old dishwasher removed. Adam responded quickly and I was able to book a visit for the next day. Communication was great, he kept me informed of his arrival. He was able to pinpoint the problem (hose valve). He removed the dishwasher and hauled it away. Adam was professional and got the job done. We would certainly call him for future appliance issues. read more

Quick response, great professional service, very good price offer. My LG washer got repaired nicely and quickly.

Adam has been awesome! he is professional and flexible. He communicates well, very transparent about pricing. Above all he enjoys his work and takes pride in getting the job done! Adam did an outstanding job repairing my Whirlpool refrigerator! Over the weekend my fridge started making strange noises, and within a couple of days it stopped holding temperature. I posted a project and received several quotes. Unfortunately, the first company I chose never showed up. That's when I reached out to Alfa Appliances. They were able to schedule a technician the very same day, between 4-6pm. Adam was assigned to my service, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. He even called and left a message when I missed his call, and dispatch followed up to ensure we connected. From the moment Adam arrived, he was professional, knowledgeable, and thorough. He quickly diagnosed the issue, explained what he was doing step by step, and even asked for permission before removing drawers to access the problem area. I really appreciated how communicative he was throughout the process. Adam's approach was fair, kind, and solution-focused. Despite working in a very tight space, he handled the repair with ease. His expertise, patience, and attention to detail were truly impressive. Thanks to him, my refrigerator is back up and running perfectly. I had a fantastic experience with Alfa Appliances, and I highly recommend Adam if you need appliance repairs. Great service, great attitude, and excellent results and thank you, Adam! read more

**edit** it took about 2 hours to replace the drum kit. No problem. My issue is that the tech left a mess from all of the debris / dust. I have no clue if he cleaned out the dryer vent like he said he would, and I'm left pulling out the dryer again so I can clean up all of the dust and trash he left. He also didn't take time to show me that the repair fixed the issue, so I'm doing a load of laundry now to test it out. ** prior review: So far so good - they came within the later part of the designated time window to repair my dryer. Cost seemed reasonable, took about an hour and a half to diagnose and fix. read more

Oh my gosh! I have found the best service ever! Needed a filter replaced on my fridge. Adam came by the next day, ordered the part and is coming by this morning to replace. Great service! Adam is professional, friendly and kind. As I am a senior citizen who gets flummoxed over these kinds of maintenance issues, Adam was patient and explained what he needed to do. He also made recommendations and suggestions for future maintenance on my appliances. I will be using Adam for all my service needs. His pricing is great and fair.
