I've had to call this company twice - once for my fridge and once for my stove. My gas stove was really lighting on fire when I would turn it on. They told me the price for them to fix it, and talked with me about the pros and cons of just getting a new stove instead with how old it was. Which I ended up doing. Then my fridge compressor broke and they told me the price for that, but encouraged me to reach out to the fridge company as they'd been hearing about them making replacements for that part for free. In short, both times they could have just made the repair and made some money, but instead talked with me about my options and ended up making no money from me at all. Good and honest team. First Call is one of the best companies I've ever worked with. We bought a house last year that came with a built-in refrigerator from 2005. Over the past year, 3 different companies have come by to service the fridge, which could never stay consistently at 37 degrees--we lost a ton of perishable food while struggling with this fridge for months and months. Eventually I just decided to go on Yelp and call the company with the most 5-star ratings, First Call. The first technician that came to service the fridge, Jason, was knowledgeable, professional, and so friendly. The fridge was working for a few weeks, but then started fluctuating up to 45 degrees again, so eventually the boss--Chad--came by to assess the fridge himself. He gave us his personal cell phone, was very responsive, always on time, and so polite. He had to do a ton of work to undo all of the previous companies' (NOT First Call) sloppy work, but we are BEYOND THRILLED to now have a functioning refrigerator. It is a huge weight off our shoulders. I will be calling First Call for all of my appliance issues in the future, and I highly recommend both Chad and Jason to everyone with any appliance needs. Chad was awesome! We've been having intermittent problems with our brand new KitchenAid refrigerator since we bought it! The water dispenser and ice maker would work for a few months and then randomly stop working, and then begin working again a few weeks later! Great Experience with First Call! Easy contact by phone and able to schedule within one week. Jason was our tech and was superb in every way. He called us when he said he was 15-20 min. out and arrived 15-20 min. later. He was pleasant, courteous, and an excellent communicator throughout. He was able to make a likely diagnosis on our squeaky dryer within a few seconds of listening to our description and the squeaks. He installed a new Dryer Service Kit for our Maytag Neptune Dryer in less than an hour and took extra time to help advise us on some other care and maintenance issues that we had questions about on both our washer and our dryer before and after the Service Kit installation. They do charge a $90 service charge for coming to the house (no free estimates to potentially allow for comparison shopping with other contractors), but the service charge is applied to the actual service provided and we thought the price for the quick and accurate diagnosis and the friendly, courteous, and efficient service with an excellent result (no more squeaking and repair of parts that needed to be replaced!) was fair and reasonable. We had some issues with our dishwasher leaking a lot of suds when the washing cycle would begin. We had two previous appliance firms come out to investigate and neither figured it out. Afraid I would need a new dishwasher, I took a friend's recommendation and called First Call. Jason came out within a couple of days and knew the issue right away. No one had told us not to prewash the dishes with regular dish soap. We had also put a scrubber in the dishwasher with dish soap residue on it to clean it. After a few times using only the rinse cycle, the soap bubbles were gone and the problem was corrected. It was a short visit, but extremely productive.
