    New front door

    We purchased front and rear entry doors including delivery and installation. We chose high end fiberglass for both doors and the front door, 6 feet wide included matching side lites in a master frame. All three front glass panels were full height decorative caned and frosted glass. The rear door was a single unit was also with full height clear glass. Due to supply line issues, Covid influenced I am sure, the order fulfillment process was almost 90 days. Not a problems as I understand the dynamics involved. The store worked with us on the doors pre install delivery. Installation was by Lowe's Install Partners. Their man, Victor, arrived as scheduled and executed the install himself. He was here 8 hours. His attention to detail and carpentry skills are superb. The door install included installing all new door hardware -handles and dead bolts. It includes the haul away of the old doors and work area clean up. All trim lumber comes primed so there Is flexibility in having the finish paint installed. A long day but the end result is incredible in the visual impact on our home.

    Pitiful customer service. After today, I'm done with Lowe's. I went to pick up a door that I ordered online on April 14th. Since I showed up rather early this morning, the store wasn't very busy. I checked in at the front desk and the clerk verified my order and said the door would be retrieved by someone within a few minutes. He specifically said to wait out front at the entrance. 15 minutes go by and nothing. I go back in to make sure I'm in the correct entrance. The clerk said they are getting the door. And said that it was very heavy. And apologized. So another 15 minutes go by and nothing. I go back in at this point demand to speak with someone that can get this process going. The store was full of employees and having to wait 30 minutes for my door is beyond ridiculous. To top that off - come to find out the store has had my door since May 4th, and it's the 9th now. I had to check online to see where my door was since it was hit with a shipping delay with an expected arrival day of April 24th then changed to the 30th. So it gets there May 4th, and you mean to tell me 4-5 days later the store does not call to let the customer know that the order is In for pickup? WTF? Lowe's or at least this location is a joke as far as customer service goes. The cherry on top. I get the door home (a steel door) and notice the cardboard packing had a gash. Sure enough I remove the cardboard and there is a quarter sized hole in the door. About the only thing that could do this is a forklift. I've got contractors showing up Wednesday to do a job and having to monkey around with Lowe's over this is ludicrous ....... just a comedy if errors. So I fixed that by applying JB Weld, smoothing it out, priming the spot and light sanding it with wet 600 grit and you can hardly see the spot. Never again will this store get a dime from me. Lowe's reevaluate how you deal with customers. We're more than just transactions and revenue.

    Can be a little expensive on some purchases in my mind but good quality when it comes to all my gardening needs, etc...I haven't had trouble with returns either. Paint area was definitely busy on Memorial Day and at the time only my husband and I and another customer were waiting around for someone to show up to help us. I mentioned to my husband to push the service button at the paint center desk but know one came so I had to go ask an employee by front doors to call someone. Shortly after two associates came.

    Still waiting for help 6 minutes later...  I'm moving on to a local hardware store. Should of gone there to begin with

    We've been treated very well at this location, better than the home depot down the street which was not as organized as this lowes.

I get to Austin Hardware: I walk in the office area and they send me to the warehouse area. As I walk in the door, I see signs that say, "No walk-ups." "If you don't have an order, please dial 8100 and talk to a salesperson and tell them you are at the Dallas warehouse." Of course, I called the number and got a "fast busy" and finally a guy came and said he was going to get a salesperson to help me. So Tom comes out and says, "can I help you?" I tell him, "I have a step van with a tilt hood and I need the buckle that holds down the hood." *Tom's looking at me as if he's not understanding me at all.* "It's a Chevy P30 with a tilt hood?" *Still looking at me as if I'm talking a foreign language.* me: "Okay, so it's a 1996...." Tom: "I don't know what you're talking about. What do you need?" I finally figure out that this place sells just the hardware. They don't know what the hardware goes on, so of course he doesn't know what buckle goes on which car, he just knows the buckles. Me: "I have a van that has a broken buckle, it's rubber and it looks kinda like these" *pointing to a picture on the wall. Tom: "hmm.. let me bring out the catalog and you can look at those." *off he goes* He comes back and starts flipping through.. Me: "Oh, I have a picture of the buckle..." *fumbling with my iphone* Tom: "Oh, that's a (such and such) series. Let me see if we have one." *off he goes again* comes back again "the nearest one is in Elkhart, Indiana. We can have it shipped down here but it will be a couple days. Me: "Can I have it shipped to me directly?" Tom: "Sure, I just need your address and a form of payment." *off he goes once more and comes back with a receipt and we're all done. The whole experience was difficult but mainly because I didn't know what to expect but luckily, I had a picture of the part I needed and Tom knew exactly what that part was. Thanks Austin Hardware!

    My purchasing agent has been trying to contact Tom all day to get a simple answer about locks he…read moreordered. He was told they'd be here no later than 4/19. It's 4/23 and not only are the locks not here, but Tom has lost his ability to answer a phone, return a call, and the hardest task of all, reply to an email. Because Tom couldn't handle the difficult task of answering, we didn't have time to re-schedule our installers. Now all of our lockers are going to site to be installed without locks and we'll have to re-schedule our installers to make another trip to the jobsite to install the locks if they ever get here. If you like being lied to, ignored, and having costs added to your project, by all means shop here.

I collected the chlorine from the front desk and made a separate purchase for the seasonings. I didn't use the seasonings until this weekend when I fired up my smoker. It was then that I noticed the "best by" date was from May 2023. While I understand that a "best by" date is just a guideline, two years past that date is quite excessive. I called the store to request an exchange but was told "NO" due to their 30-day policy, which I understand. However, the "manager" repeatedly informed me that seasonings don't expire; they just lose their smell, potency, and flavor. He emphasized multiple times that they were not "expired." Having cooked for over 20 years, I know what happens to seasonings past their prime. When they lose their intended qualities, I typically discard them as they no longer serve their purpose. So, I ask you this: What do you buy seasonings for? The smell? The flavor? The potency? All of these attributes diminish over time. The fact that this store sells products with dates from two years ago is quite concerning. Since the manager offered no assistance, I will be leaving reviews to inform the public that this location sells outdated products and is inflexible with their "policy."

Explained cleaning and what they do as they own the smoker I got. We had to order and I knew exactly when the order needed to be in, when the store would receive it and what day was pick up. It was ready a day ahead of what they said. We got there about 5 min prior to closing but were so nice waiting til the truck arrived to load it (SIL was getting off work and rushing over). Even though it was after closing they loaded it and I never heard a harsh remark or saw a roll of eyes. Definitely will always see if I can buy from them as needed.

It required two passes to achieve the same cut quality as my old gas-powered mower. Additionally, the self-propelled feature felt clunky and was difficult to maneuver, making the mowing experience more cumbersome than convenient. I was hoping to make the switch away from gas and oil for conveince and environmental reasons, but unfortunately, this unit doesn't meet my needs. I've decided to return to using my old reliable gas mower for now. Now for Ace, I tried to return the mower after using it for 30-minutes and cleaning it up. I was told because I used it, they would not take it back. Off to Ace corporate to see if they can help!
