Stay away from buying anything ONLINE. I bought some decking material for 588.00. They charged my card 1st for 609.00 then again for 588.00. Leaving me with $50 dollars in my account. I call and ask why did this happen and what are they going to do to refund my money? They said the 1st charge was an authorization charge to basically see if the funds were available and the second charge is the correct one. The 1st charge will fall off in a few days. I'm sorry what? We purchased front and rear entry doors including delivery and installation. We chose high end fiberglass for both doors and the front door, 6 feet wide included matching side lites in a master frame. All three front glass panels were full height decorative caned and frosted glass. The rear door was a single unit was also with full height clear glass. Due to supply line issues, Covid influenced I am sure, the order fulfillment process was almost 90 days. Not a problems as I understand the dynamics involved. The store worked with us on the doors pre install delivery. Installation was by Lowe's Install Partners. Their man, Victor, arrived as scheduled and executed the install himself. He was here 8 hours. His attention to detail and carpentry skills are superb. The door install included installing all new door hardware -handles and dead bolts. It includes the haul away of the old doors and work area clean up. All trim lumber comes primed so there Is flexibility in having the finish paint installed. A long day but the end result is incredible in the visual impact on our home. read more

Pitiful customer service. After today, I'm done with Lowe's. I went to pick up a door that I ordered online on April 14th. Since I showed up rather early this morning, the store wasn't very busy. I checked in at the front desk and the clerk verified my order and said the door would be retrieved by someone within a few minutes. He specifically said to wait out front at the entrance. 15 minutes go by and nothing. I go back in to make sure I'm in the correct entrance. The clerk said they are getting the door. And said that it was very heavy. And apologized. So another 15 minutes go by and nothing. I go back in at this point demand to speak with someone that can get this process going. The store was full of employees and having to wait 30 minutes for my door is beyond ridiculous. To top that off - come to find out the store has had my door since May 4th, and it's the 9th now. I had to check online to see where my door was since it was hit with a shipping delay with an expected arrival day of April 24th then changed to the 30th. So it gets there May 4th, and you mean to tell me 4-5 days later the store does not call to let the customer know that the order is In for pickup? WTF? Lowe's or at least this location is a joke as far as customer service goes. The cherry on top. I get the door home (a steel door) and notice the cardboard packing had a gash. Sure enough I remove the cardboard and there is a quarter sized hole in the door. About the only thing that could do this is a forklift. I've got contractors showing up Wednesday to do a job and having to monkey around with Lowe's over this is ludicrous ....... just a comedy if errors. So I fixed that by applying JB Weld, smoothing it out, priming the spot and light sanding it with wet 600 grit and you can hardly see the spot. Never again will this store get a dime from me. My outdoor kitchen water pipe busted due to the extreme winter we had. I called Roto-Rooter to come out. I had a time between 9am-1pm. They should up at 3pm. After assessing the issue, they provided me a quote of $575. I approved it and he said he needed a part and would be back. They came back about 45 mins later and than told me that the part wouldn't work. To make matters worst, he informed me that the initial price would now be $1074. Lowe's in Murphy has got issues. There are not many associates in any department. And if you flag one down they don't know anything. I know this because they tell me they don't know. If you ask a different associate for help they don't know either, but have a different way of explaining how much they don't know. This falls on bad management in my opinion. They place associates in the paint department that are not trained to mixed paint, but seem to be able to great customers just to tell them they are unsupervised and do not know how to work this department. What really bothers me is the constant feeling that everyone from the cashiers to the floor attendants acts as if they are counting down the minutes till the end of the day (hence, the lack of interest in any customer questions). Have seen more enthusiasm at fast food restaurants. Quality and variety of products is not impressive at all. Really wish this was a Home Depot instead. read more

Just a quick stop in. Needed potting soil for the wife's project. A shelf for me. No issues. However, I've been looking to pick up a scroll saw and band saw for woodworking in the shop. We figured that we'd pick one or the other up today. they had one each on display, reasonably priced, only slightly higher than amazon (but they have shipping nightmares), however, they had 0, zero, null, none, not any product for sale. One sales man/stocker or whatever it is they do, came through to show another shopper the location of an item. He pointed, then ran away before we could ask about the saws. The conclusion, it's not for pro's or people working, but they have needed, basic hobby items like plants, lightbulbs, or ten 2 x 4s. Plenty of appliances and such. We are building a new house in Lucas so I am in this store several times a week. I am always impressed with how helpful the employees are at this location. I went back to thank one of the gals in the appliance and plumbing fixture department. I had a problem I was trying to solve regarding the color of a part I needed to install a vessel sink. It only came in brushed silver and I needed a bronze color. She had the same issue at her house and she showed me how she worked around it. She was right. They were going to "do me a favor" and order a sample cabinet door to be sure of the color and style. Should take about 2 weeks. Six weeks later, after some prodding on my part, they said they never got the sample and never heard back from the cabinet company rep. The guy who ordered the sample for me TALKED to the rep, so there is no way he didn't get the request. The cabinet guy went out for surgery and absolutely NOBODY at Lowe's followed up. "They don't have a system for doing that." Their other excuse was that two of the cabinet companies merged -- 6 months ago -- and so the email request might not have gotten to the right person. I was there when the cabinet guy talked to the rep. There is no excuse for this. Nobody cares. Par for the course for Lowe's. Our neighborhood store, and happens to be my fave out of all the Lowe's in the area. CON's - Some departments are really short-staffed i.e. the window treatment dept - I've never seen anyone man that area; if you need help, they pull from another dept with no guarantee that employee has knowledge on how to navigate the dept computer system (for estimates, pricing, etc). Additionally, I've attempted more than enough times to update my phone # in their system so they can reach me as needed however they still always end up calling my old #. But enough with the minor CON's and on with the PRO's. Floor staff and management friendly and helpful. I've interacted with individuals in just about EVERY dept and so far so good! Checkout is always pretty speedy with ample lanes open and return transactions are painless and simple. They are well-stocked and cleaner as compared to other Lowe's or hardware stores. Through major renovations and small DIY projects, we've frequented this location to pick up supplies and tools. read more

Horrible, Unprofessional HVAC AC Installation FM 544 Lowe's, Murphy, TX. Horrible and Unprofessional customer service when we decided to use Lowe's HVAC installation service for replacing both 5ton and 4ton unit in my house. This is the FM 544 Lowe's in Murphy. Total project expense was $13,000. Lowe's was very eager and professional before getting the job, the moment we signed the contract, the true level of professionalism and customer care became apparent. Below are the details: -- LOWE's subcontracts the job to other contractors (which is totally fine), but LOWE's keeps very LITTLE, if any, record of what the contractor is actually doing in terms of equipment, make model etc. -- In my situation, we were quoted for SEER 16 equipment, but the contractor came to my house and started installing equipment with Yellow Energy Efficiency labels indicating 14.5 SEERs. The contractor was dismissive and said check with lowe's this is what you are supposed to get. -- Went to LOWE's with photos/make/model of the Equipment being installed, had to stand in the Merchandise return line for 45 minutes. All I was asking from LOWE's was to confirm that these are the equipment for which we paid them money. After wasting time with 3-floor associates who were manning the area, got hold of the Assistant Store Manager Casey, who started to throw all kinds of dismissive explanations, all the way hiding the fact that they do not have ANY records of which equipment (i.e., model, type, seer etc) the Contractor was supposed to install. -- He was holding the copy of my contract, where my wife as the owner and Lowe's signed, and refused to give me a copy of the contract, saying he needs to see my General Contractor. When my general contractor called Casey asking him to release the signed contract, Casey stuck to his ego and said he wont release the contract unless my General Contractor Showed up in PERSON. -- When I asked Casey based on contract laws, he has no right to refusing me a copy of the contract between my wife and LOWE's he rudely said he has 30 seconds for me left. When I said let me talk to the manager, he claimed he IS THE MANAGER (his photo ID said assistant manager). -- When I asked ok let me take a photo of your ID because of your bizarre misconduct, he Smiled and Stood with a V-Sign, which made him look like one of those government employees who have no shame in standing by their own blatant mistakes. LOWE'S Assistant managers like these should be working for may be DMV , not a private corporation. DO NOT USE LOWE's for any major installation service, if you have any expectations for professional service. read more

This is the best Lowe's around! We have been landscaping our front flowerbeds and huge backyard in our new house, so our budget is tight. The gardening center is the best because there is always a helpful face around to answer any questions. One time I was looking around for a couple of things and an associate pointed me in the direction of their clearance section. I thought it would be dead plants, but their selection was amazing. I was able to pick out perennials and annuals for $.25 to $.50 EACH! I spent $50.00 to landscape our entire backyard. All they needed was a little TLC and now they're in full bloom (nothing has died yet!). Ordered a Kwikset electronic deadbolt from Lowes.com, seeing that the Murphy, TX store did not have the antique bronze finish in stock. No store in a 15 mile radius had it either. After ordering, I found out I could get the same one from Amazon for $30 less. Seeing that this was too much for me to ignore, I headed to my local Lowe's to see what they could do. They said they would price match Amazon.com. But, when they looked they said that a third party is supplying this to Amazon, so they will not change the price I paid. I said that Lowe's re-sells Kwikset - thus, no different than Amazon. They said that they compete with only local outlets. I have spent considerable amounts of money with Lowe's over the years and even have one of their credit cards. Telling them this meant nothing. Letting them know that I would make sure family and friends knew this, made no difference either. So - when Lowe's delivers the deadbolt to me this coming Saturday, I will return it and buy the deadbolt from Amazon. I will also change how I buy items from Lowe's in the future. I will go to HomeDepot for any and all items, ignoring the 5% discount that the Lowe's credit card provides. HomeDepot has a greater variety to choose from anyway. read more

Our refrigerator went out on Friday night, May 12th. I tried to fix it Saturday, but no luck. Saturday afternoon, we went to Lowe's in Murphy and selected a new one. The selection process was simple and painless. We asked for delivery and installation to be asap, expecting to get it one day the following week. To our surprise, the Lowe's staff put us on the limited list for delivery on Sunday. To our surprise again, we were the first stop for the Lowe's delivery crew on Sunday. By 10:00 a.m., Sunday, we were back in business with a new refrigerator. The installation crew was experienced and efficient and mindful of moving in the large appliance. The staff is very polite and responsive while they are stealing from you. I had a palette of tile being shipped to me. First they said shipping would be $400. They knew it was a discontinued item and I had no choice. So I paid it. Paid it! Gave them my money. Then after a week it wasn't shipped. I called and they said, "Oh it will be $800 to ship". No, I already paid $400, which is a lot. They said ok and proceeded to FedEx me 28 boxes of tile individually. 28 tracking numbers. They just let FedEx throw them into the back of a truck apparently. Which FedEX managed to shatter. All of them. Gone. Again, discontinued product. Irreplaceable. Lowes put in a claim (since they are the shipper) and this week FedEx CONFIRMED to me on the phone that they have paid Lowes the claim money and I have to reach out to Lowes. I did and I was just told that they didn't receive any money and the risk was on me (since I didn't agree to their demand to double my shipping cost after the fact) so I can't get the claim money and they won't give me a refund. My home renovation is half finished because this location took 7 weeks to NOT delivery my product, mishandled it, according to FedEx made money on the whole exchange, and then through all of it refused to refund my money as customer goodwill after countless problems and phone calls. Bad customer service happens sometimes but I've never had a national brand actually STEAL from me before. read more
