Let me first say, I love Lowe's. The prices are right and the people are friendly and helpful. However, during this Corona Virus pandemic a hiccup has developed with their "curbside delivery. I recently ordered garden supplies from my local store in Lawnside, NJ and I ordered online using "curbside " delivery. I received a email advising me that my delivery was ready for pickup. Upon arriving I followed the signs to the "curbside" pickup area. There was no one to attend to us and after waiting approximately 15 minutes for someone to come out, I went inside. Inside I went to the customer service desk where there was a line of about 10 people. I approached a store associate and explained that I was in the "curbside" delivery area to pick up a order. I was informed by the store associate that I would have to get on the line for customer service to receive help. I ended up spending 20 minutes on a line only to have the customer service associate bring a basket with my purchases which I had to bring back out to my car and load myself. In the 35 minutes I spent doing "curbside" pickup, I could've gone in the store and picked up everything I needed, in half the time. I don't mind doing my own shopping but, as a high risk person I sought to lessen my exposure by using "curbside" pickup. As I said, I love Lowe's and will continue to shop there but, "curbside" pickup should either be just that or customer's should be advised that's not what it truly is. If you expect "curbside" delivery, leave your expectations at the curb. read more

As a homeowner, my husband and I have shopped in both Lowe's and Home Depot for over 20 years. We have spent an extraordinary amount of money in both of these stores. We rarely need to make returns, but we just had a recent instance of having to return 5 bags of polymeric sand because we decided to have the job done by a contractor. I saved the receipt and my husband went to the store to return the sand. It was a VERY UNPLEASANT experience to learn that there is a 90 day window on returns (with receipt) and NO EXCEPTIONS ARE GRANTED FOR A RESELLABLE ITEM such as polymeric sand! Needless to say, we have made our LAST purchase at Lowes and I will be sharing this VERY NEGATIVE experience EVERYWHERE I can. read more

For a chain that I have NO interest in, this place is really nice. My boyfriend bought the majority of his home repair supplies and decor from Lowes (not this location but one in the Trenton area) and the LG line they carry is GORGEOUS! His kitchen and bathroom look stunning and the products all have warranties. The store itself is well organized and the employees seemed well educated and friendly. Maybe when I have a home that I'm willing to put more time and effort into I'd like Lowes more. No offense to them - Ill be moving soon. I was in dire need of assistance, as I was recently in a car accident and I'm not able to lift more than gallon of milk, and I get lost as soon as I turn around. Determined to get my bulb lasagnas planted before the end of fall, having had little luck at small local garden markets, I headed to Lowe's. Richard Michael in the Garden Center was BEYOND helpful! He helped me find and load the soil I needed for my bulb lasagnas, he even loaded them into my car. He also helped me find shelves for my kitchen garden. Ok soooooo normally most women I would think don't enjoy walking into a home improvement store. I know I sure don't. I usually feel like a deer in headlights looking back and forth. Walking aimlessly up every isle feeling some sort of dread and despair. But this morning, that was not the case ! I came Prepared with an item number equipped on my phone and felt good. Needless to say Lowes in the morning is kinda peaceful. It's quiet in there. You actually see the workers who don't look like they are trying to hide from customers lol. Soon as I walked in it was nice seeing the Halloween decorations on display. Kinda made me smile a bit I won't lie. But anyway, I was a woman on a mission for a laminate floor Mallot and I had my item number. My original plan was walk to flooring and then wander up every aisle till I found it but to my surprise, I was greeted by a nice gentleman who worked there and asked what I was looking for and I pulled out my phone all ready and showed him. He knew exactly where it was and explained why that one was so good! What a morning this is!!!!!! We told each other have a great day and parted our ways. I was off to the check out now. Mallot in hand. Once again greeted by a very nice gentleman who waited on me promptly and was very cheerful. Very nice experience. My suggestion would be when you need to go to these types of stores go early. It isn't crowded at all. It's a calmer atmosphere and staff is readily available to assist. read more

These five stars are for the employee, Jose. Hope he sees this! I went in maybe 3-4 weeks ago on a Saturday evening looking for some nails and other things my boyfriend sent me to get as he was building me a vanity. I was wandering the store for a while while using the website on my phone to see which aisles I could find certain things. Minutes in, Jose approaches me and asks if I need help. He even offered to show me where to find things and walked with me asking me questions to better understand what tools and sizes would suit my needs since I had no clue. He was so helpful. My boyfriend had gone to Home Depot and said he got no help. We needed to pick up a few more things so I suggested we go back to Lowe's after I told him about Jose. And guess who pops out from an aisle at the center of the store when we walked in :) thank you so much! read more

Online ordering was quick and was ready within an hour so that was great but then it was all downhill in store. One person at the customer service desk doing returns and pickups. A few others were in and out behind her doing other things so I'm not griping about that. Took about 10 minutes to get 2 people done in front of me and by that time the young lady was more focused on the mad customer others were dealing with a few registers over. The real kicker was after scanning the barcode on my phone she reaches down and molests my phone. I mean that's something you don't do normally without permission but with masks being worn, plastic barriers and social distancing happening how the ballz do you thing it's ok to touch my phone?!? Scanning a barcode through the barrier is the logical thing right? I mean seriously am I wrong? I am at that point where I stopped rolling my eyes at my gf's purchase of those ultraviolet germ killer box things so I couldn't. Wait to get home and toss my phone it there. From other reviews it seems this location is t to concerned about this whole "fake pandemic" thing to enforce trained correctly regarding how not to drive away customers. read more

If they had less than 1 star, I would have done so. They made me remember why I stopped going there. Ok, I went to pick up an online order after receiving the "ready to pick up" email hours prior. My husband and I had a long night and just wanted to pick up quickly and go home. We were there for almost an hour bc they didn't have anything ready. They couldn't find anyone to pull the items for me and after a long while, they found someone who brought the wrong items up. We had to go shop for ourselves which defeated the purpose of ordering online to have items ready for you. I was so pissed off bc I have health issues and this situation made it worse. When we found the baskets, they were super filthy which made my OCD/germophobia act up. There's more to tell, but I'm tired of typing about it. It was the most aggravating moment ever!!! recently bought bathroom flooring from the lawnside store. lowe's sent a rep out to measure my bathroom and to give a price for removal of old tile and installation of new. we paid for this then were given a date for their contractor to do the work. upon arrival, the contractor showed he wasn't happy about doing the job. he left his workers outside and came inside, himself. he checked our present flooring and said it was in real bad shape. that it bounced and there was movement. he could not do the job and would have lowe's refund us. i did my own test. jumped on the floor and found there was no movement what so ever. no cracks, no buckling.. the floor was in excellent condition. i was only getting new flooring to update the style. called in a different contractor. he checked the bathroom floor and said it was in great shape. there was no bouncing or movement. he then gave his opinion as to why lowe's contractor said negative things. they were the same as my thoughts. he said, 'lowe's contractor didn't want to do the job. best way to get out of it was to find fault with your present floor and have the store refund you.' i was lied to and my contract was reneged on. read more

wish it was possible to give this a negative star. I should specify the kitchen cabinet area.. I arrived to get information on remodeling my kitchen. I was unaware of needed an appointment but the girl working that area made that point. Her actual response was " I guess I have to push my lunch break back .. you know that you work to a certain point and need a break".. then proceeded to have rude comments that I didn't have a drawn plan of what I wanted done. I had my measurements but that wasn't good enough. I told her forget it i would go somewhere else. and her last comment to me was..."that's fine I can go have lunch now" this will be my last visit to this place. and plan on telling my friends and family about this service.. read more

It's amazing how incredibly bad the service is at this Lowe's. I actually prefer a lot of the goods at Lowes over Home Depot, including lumber and housewares. But heaven forbid you ever need any help! I'd like to believe my most recent horrible experience is because of staffing problems during COVID, but this store is always understaffed, and with mostly incompetent help. There's ALWAYS a line at the registers, no matter how busy they are, and whether it's a weekday morning, evening, or weekend. The employees are nice enough when you actually find one - I blame management for all of the problems. Other Lowes (e.g. Maple Shade) seem to find employees, and Home Depot down the street manages to find enough knowledgable employees. read more

Don't even waste your time going here. The Lawnside store is disorganized, under stocked and when you call the employees out on it they get surly. If you need 10 items I guarantee you they will not have 4 of them or can't find them in the store and you will end up at the orange place anyway. Went there for faucet supply hoses last week, something every house in America needs at least 4 of (2 in the bathroom, 2 in the kitchen) and they did not even have 1 single 16" hose in the building. How is that even possible? Everything is computerized, it's not like a human has to do inventory to figure this out. They should be on the way to the store before you ever run out. I may order online to have shipped but I will not be going here for every day supply runs anymore. I'm a small, independent contractor and spend anywhere between $1-10k a month at home improvement stores, but it's just not worth my time stopping here anymore because I inevitably end up down the street to get everything I need. Found what we needed. Had a larger selection than the home depot down the street. The reason for the two stars was an employee talking on her cell phone yelled at us for ignoring her. She asked "do you need help with anything?" We all assumed she was talking to the person on her phone. When we did respond to say no she proceeded to bad talk us to the person on the phone as "rude customers." Seemed very unprofessional. Never had this sort of experience at a Lowes or Home Depot. read more

Lowe's installed my carpeting about 3 years ago. In three places the carpet is rippling & needs to be stretched. I called to see what could be done & was told nothing since the 1 year warranty had passed. I even offered to pay to have the carpet stretched & was told to look someone up on Angie's List. It's ridiculous that the carpet is already rippling. It's in my upstairs bedroom that hardly gets any foot traffic. Would never go to Lowe's again for carpet installation. read more

Two strikes and your off... to Home Depot. First strike... I was purchasing a Dewalt compound sliding miter saw. Sign right in front of the saw described the saw to a tee, with a Free stand with purchase... I go to the register and was told "Sorry, not on this model" Strike two... Today I was online searching for a bathroom vanity and sink for an office we are rehabbing. I purchased it from the Lawnside NJ Lowes location which was in stock. Gave my credit card info and made the purchase to pickup today. Immediately after completing, I get directed to a survey. It said get $100 for filling out survey. I complete the survey only to find out it's a scam.. they give you 4 magazine subscriptions, worth $100, provided you pay for the shipping.. I did give a good review since navigating and ordering was effortless. While heading to Lowes, I get a call to say "Sorry, there was a computer glitch, and it is not in stock". They offered to ship it to me, but couldn't guarantee when I would get it. I could also drive to another store and pick it up. I didn't want to waste 1.5 hours round trip. She offered to speak to a manager. After explaining my situation, he offered the same options. Total waste of my time. I am now off to Home Depot. read more

In the past, I've been to Lowe's (Portage, MI, Muskegon, MI, Lumberton, NJ) and I bought "Goof Off" for carpet removal stains and basic tools. The first time I came here was 4/21/12 and I bought "Goof Off" I came here today (5/14/16) to buy a set of pliers to poke extra holes for the belts that I have. Service is usually good and helpful. They have everything you need for your home even if you stay in an apartment. read more

This store does not care about its customers. Between them and their so-called "delivery-service", I have waited on multiple days for my appliances. Customer service from Lowes is limited, they refer you back to the store. The store manager or those involved with appliance delivery have zero customer service training and do not care about service or the people who purchase from them. I will never ever use this store again. Lowes' systems and customer service are dysfunctional. In summary: on day of delivery at 2pm (after fridge is empty awaiting new one), we get an email indicating a 3 week delay. After that, another delay (over 1 month all together). When the delivery occurred, they would not install the stove (claiming Lowes didn't tell them I paid for the install). I email customer service and they respond to Dan (that's not my name) about a Google device (that's not my issue). In summary, I shopped the store for about a month, trying to spend money, and they screwed up about 8 times in a short period. Lowes is an appropriate name: Low customer satisfaction, Low accuracy of meeting commitments and Low on my list of places I'll be spending money. read more

we purchased A refrigerator from Lowe's. it was scheduled to be delivered on Sunday. I tried to confirm the time of the delivery, it took 3 calls to get to the right person. the manager told me the deliver time is between 11:AM - 1:00 pm. I did't see anyone coming when it was 1:30 pm. I called them, it took me 30 min to get the right person. he told me that they should be here between 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm. it is now 3:10 pm already, no one is here. We have had two experiences at this Lowes, and we have had two issues. They may be beyond this specific store, but they are so frustrating. We bought a lawn mower from them, spent $400 or so, and it wouldn't even turn on. We weren't allowed to return it, had to go through the manufacturer, who tried to repair it, and three weeks later said it was not repairable and to return it to the store. We should have just been able to return it as it was unused. Then, we ordered a custom made door, it took about a month to make, spent over $500 on it, get it to the house, open it up, and there are three problems with it. 1. It has glass panels and there is plastic sticking out of the panels that should have been completely off, there is a nick on one side of the door, and red residue of some type on the other. I don't know if the door wasn't inspected before they gave it to us or what. We were told that we would have to bring the door back to the store so they could fix it. Why do we keep having to get brand new items fixed rather than getting them in brand new condition? I am not one to write a bad review or complain, hardly ever, but to have two bad experiences for two expensive items at a store that should be reliable... not good. Won't be going to this Lowes, or probably any, for further purchases. read more

I've been fixing up my house for sale and have become a regular at this Lowe's. Everyone who works here is friendly and helpful. Yesterday the person at the paint counter suggested a beautiful shade to paint the bathroom. They go out of their way to help and will have a nice chat with you in your feeling like company. I ordered a refrigerator and was promised delivery on Thursday 5/17/18. The driver showed up on time at 12 noon, but asked me If they could return at the end of their route because it was raining and wet leaves were on the ground. I asked him when they would return and told in two (2) hours. I agreed with him, however, they never came back or called. At 4:30 pm I called the cell of the driver and was told that he was not the person who was at my home, and that I should call the store. I called the "XPO" delivery company and was told that I was on the schedule for the next day. The agent reached out to the driver with no success. She sent him a message and said that if I did not hear from him in 20 minutes to call back. I did not hear from him so I called the company back and got a different agent, therefore, I had to start all over again. This agent told me the same thing. I then spoke to a supervisor who told me that I was NOT on the schedule for the next day. Needless to say, the fridge was not delivered the next day. I then went back to the store to complain and it was delivered the following day, Sat. 5/19/18. This cost me two (2) days off from work for nothing. read more

this is the worse of any of the lowes,when you order doors in oct,and have them installed in june,,,short summary my gf opened up an lowes charge so we would get the 5% discount,then she cancelled it then i went in and paid cash for it.no one on the phone knew nothing about it so we went into the store while i am up at customer service talking with someone about it the other employee standing there made a rude and very loud remark "well your gf cancelled it"in return my gf said it wasnt ever her she dealt with,so i guess talk is very loose around there,so i was told that they have to look into it since the person i dealt with left(smart man)so i would call always then finally scheduled with the installer.It was scheduled for the day after christmas(12-18) i take off and then the installer(Tom-which is a great assest/helpful) tells me they dont have all the doors so i told him not to worry i want all of them not 1 at a time.So again i call company and during this i am talking with the store manager which was useless then district manager named anthony(true politician)was also useless empty promises and never ever received a return call.Then finally said they lost the measurements so had to come out again now the estimate is 2000 dollars more so again back and forth finally agreed on same price in February,,,of course more run around than installer calls me and said he only has so-so date which i wouldnt be able to do so he mentioned the other installer so he would have lowes call me of course nothing, when finally got someone from the cooperate office telling me my order was cancelled because i cursed out the installer over the phone which never happened,,,,and was also told by the installed he told them i didnt curse at him his response was that i was frustrated with lowes not him in general...and also the whole 8 months+ i was told my money was refunded but never was so for 8 months they held my money...so in closing i would never do work with the lowes in lawnside they are nothing more than an untrained store it seems like this store is like the island of misfit toys,,,,,and the management is even worse......its a shame i had to put 1 star to send review read more
