I've been doing business with Albo for 30 years, so it was nice to see this new location so much closer to where we live. I'm amazed at the breadth and depth of products they have; everything from budget items to ultra-high-end appliances. The salespeople were super friendly, knowledgeable and courteous. For comparison I priced out price of a stacked compact washer/dryer set if we had to replace our current Miele units that we purchased 10 years ago and was very surprised that their quote was only 5% more than what we paid back then. I visited Albo Appliance intending to purchase a washer and dryer. During the approximately eight minutes I was in the store, not a single employee acknowledged my presence. I understand that staff may be busy helping other customers, but a simple greeting, eye contact, or "We'll be with you shortly" would have gone a long way. As a customer prepared to make a significant purchase, I felt unwelcome and ignored. Customer service starts with basic acknowledgment, and unfortunately that was completely absent during my visit. Because of this experience, I chose to take my business elsewhere. I hope management addresses this issue, as potential customers should not feel invisible when they walk into the store. read more

Knew the appliance I wanted and told the salesman. Rather than direct me to the appliance for a short demo, he rushed me right to his sales desk. He charged me for an "extra" electrical part for $32 he swore that I needed for the install. However the independent installer they use called me a half hour before arriving and insisted that the salesman was wrong, that I needed a different part, and it was going to now cost me $150 more, as well as his $300 regular installation fee. I think this is a scam the salesman and the installer are working. I'll be going to the BBB and NJ Consumer Affairs about ALBO. Wish I had gone to PC Richard or Best Buy instead of ALBO. read more

I went to purchase a Best range hood blower from their website. I entered in all my information and got back an email saying it was a quote. I expected someone to get in touch with me, no one ever did so I finally called, I was told they didn't ship to New York they only shipped locally. I asked for a store manager who told me they would not ship to New York. Then he asked me why I wanted to buy it from him when there were stores that were closer to me. I told him they had a very good price, he said it was probably because the item was a closeout. The item was definitely not a closeout as I had just been on the phone with the manufacturer. He was extremely rude and dismissive. Why do they advertise items online if they're not going to go through with a sale. I'm glad they're not local to me, I would hate to have to deal with them on a large item. read more

Unfortunately, I find myself in the same position as many of the people in this review. We purchased a high end refrigerator, the icemaker broke and it was "covered" by their warranty. It's been eight months and still the part (in this case the entire side door) is still "backordered". They did offer an interesting solution: They would prorate a discount towards a new refrigerator! The best part is, they would use the current date (not the date of the claim) as the depreciation date. These are the worst types of dishonest dealers. DO NOT BUY. read more

AWFUL - stay away! I never want to shame anyones business but after multiple issues over the past months and nothing has being resolved, I dont want anyone else to have to go through this. My microwave was delivered damaged (not their fault - the door was damaged) I called to let them know. They finally delivered a new one after multiple calls and nagging to them. This was almost a year ago. No one has installed it STILL. They keep saying someone will call me to schedule. I gave up on this. Then - my dishwasher almost caught fire. Less than a year old and also purchased from them. Totally not their fault the wheel melted into the heating element but they convinced me to buy from them because their customer service is "so much better than the big name stores". What a joke. This happened 2 weeks ago now. I went into the store the day it happened because I couldn't get ahold of them on their phone line. They scheduled an appointment to get it fixed and they literally never showed. I called and apparently spoke with a manager and he said he would get it fixed. NEVER heard from them until today. literally 2 weeks later. I took matters into my own hands and called GE. They ordered me new parts and were supposed to fix yesterday but had to cancel due to the snow (not their fault). LITERALLY THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE. I purchased a new refrigerator for a smaller then average space in my kitchen. Marina, my Salesperson found a large capacity fridge for a reasonable price that would fit my space. Unfortunately, the new fridge didn't fit through the entrance way to my kitchen by only about an inch. I was very upset and gave her a frantic phone call the day it was delivered. She assured me that she will handle it and get to work to find another one that is comparable but slightly smaller. By the next day she found another refrigerator that has the same capacity and was the same price that fit through the entranceway and space in my kitchen. At the outset, I was impressed by the large display of appliances on the showroom floor and the wide selection of brands that the store sells. We then had the pleasure of working with Otis, a knowledgeable, personable, and very patient person who thoughtfully answered all of my questions with good humor thrown in! The delivery process was also seamless. We will be needing other new appliances in the near future and despite the distance to Mt. Stay away like the Plague ! They make promises and offer rebates, and its all talk. We made the mistake of purchasing an Oven, Microwave, and diswasher from these guys. What a mistake. Once they have your money, good luck. First started wth the delivery. They informed us that they would install the stove, and an independant contractor would cocntact us about installing the microwave and dish washer. They come for the delivery, and pull out the stove and say UT OH.. this is hard wired. We cant install the stove. We can leave the new one and we need to make arrangements with an electrician to disconnect and reconnect it.. I said wait, I shut off the braker and unscrewed 3 screws... poof.. it was uninstalled.. They moved the new one in place and I wired it myself. They put the microwave and dish washer in another room, with the box against the wall... surprize suprize, after they left, I went to install the microwave and there is a big hold in the box against the wall... Why wouldnt they say something or open it.. I had to drive it back to the store and exchange it. The rebate was $300 we were supposed to receive through their own rebate program.. well thats not true. Its through a 3rd party company that has worse reviews than Albo. I never recevied a rebate. We went online and did all the paperwork, only to recieve nothing. When I called, they said, OH, did you respond to the email ? What Email.. oh the one that goes to spam and says nothing about Albo, Rebate, GE.... just says respond within 10 minutes. When you call, they know all about it. Andrew our salesman has been called several times, and was supposed to resend us paperwork, never received. I called and asked for a manager several times, not happening. Orders 4 new kitchen appliances beginning of November 2022. Salesperson said that 3 of the 4 items were in stock and we gave the 6 weeks to provide the missing microwave. Got a call the afternoon before delivery and was given the window for time no problem. When delivery arrived delivery guy said dishwasher not on the truck did anyone tell you it was not going to be delivered. He said salesperson should have called. He did not, in fact when I was in the store to give deposit My salesperson had emailed saying that only thing not stock was microwave. What happened to my dishwasher? Called to speak to salesperson, ducked call and emails when I finally got on phone he blamed Mgf and rep. Very poor customer service. Will not refer this co. Also tried to call manager, owner etc they would not give me any satisfaction for name. Said owners out of town. read more

We have bought here for 40 years and this purchase will be our last. We purchased a high end refrigerator only to have it delivered damaged. We called immediately and they said to keep it and they would replace the front of the door. We were not happy with that solution and insisted they replace unit (the freezer door was off it's track and did not open correctly). Got a call two days later saying we had to unplug and go without a fridge until they could deliver a new one with no offer of loaner. New one was delivered with EXACT SAME DENT in same location...looked like a forklift had hit them. This fridge is hard to find and by then was back ordered for months. They took both fridges and offered NO SOLUTION, just left us with out a fridge. They did refund our money but salesperson George was extremely hostile and blamed us for keeping it, he said we should have refused the first one but THEY told us to keep. You can see that they have not responded to ANY bad reviews so you can tell they clearly do not care. We ran over to Best Buy, they sent out a loaner immediately and found us the fridge within two weeks. I always try to shop local but I will go to Lakes in the future. read more

They are the nicest people when they are trying to make a sale, however, they are so inconsiderate if you have an issue after you purchase an appliance. You can never get a phone number to speak with a person who makes decisions. Whoever you speak in the store continues to tell you they are doing the best they can and there's nothing else they can do. Meanwhile, you have purchased their warranty and still have an inoperable appliance. My review may not matter because they have been in business for many years, but had I known then what I know now, I would not have made my purchase here. I had ordered a bottom freezer/refrigerator for my home that unfortunately was delivered, but I could not use do to the "baseboard"! (I was unable to pull out the freezer!) I contacted my salesperson, Otis Brooks at the Mt. Holly location, and explained the situation. He was professional, courteous, and offered to see what could be done to "right" the situation. Long story short, I received a top freezer/refrigerator that was delivered without additional cost, and the difference in the product was refunded to me. The builder of our home referred us to Albo (his appliance store) when we discovered that he hadn't built the washer/dryer closet deep enough to accommodate a standard sized washer and dryer (ahem... this was not the first nor the last of our issues, but one of the biggest). We are *incredibly* thankful that he put us in touch with Drew, who went above and beyond the call of duty to help us find machines that would fit, that were decently priced, and generally to make us happy with a space that could not work the way we had hoped it would. Highlights: * Drew did the research and sent us links to appliances that he would recommend, that fit our space (more on that in a minute), and that were within our budget. * This meant MULTIPLE emails back and forth, as the builder said he had "fixed" the closet and sent Drew new measurements - Drew initiated a new conversation about purchasing standard sized vs. "compact" machines. * We purchased a set of highly rated Electrolux standard sized machines, within our budget, and with a $100 rebate - that Drew made sure we had all the info to complete and submit (I've already received the rebate). * Albo's delivery persons had to make multiple trips trips to our house to install, again due to issues with the build. I won't bore you with the details, but I WILL say that when it became clear we had to stack the machines to get them to fit, meaning another trip (and delivery charge) and purchasing a stacking kit, Drew & his boss gave us a discount, based on the all of the issues that we had gone through. I can't say enough good things about Drew and his colleagues - we are very happy with their customer service, and thrilled with the appliances, and will definitely come back to Albo the next time we need to buy. read more

I will never shop at Albo Appliance again! After purchasing 6 appliances at once, I was treated so disrespectfully, it's unbelievable. The men who delivered the appliances broke one of my holiday decorations and didn't even tell me. They failed to install the kick plate on the refrigerator. They failed to deliver the bracket and bolts for the microwave. When I called Geoff, the manager at the Mt. Holly store, he said, "if I had a drone, I'd deliver it to you, but I don't, so you'll just have to come here and get it." When I arrived, he didn't even apologize. I held off on posting this, but I am at the point where I want to save ANYONE else from making the same mistake I did. I own my own small business, so I always try to patronize small businesses and help the little guy. WOW, just WOW, Albo isn't the place to do this. To start with, in 2015, we ordered all LG appliances from Albo for our kitchen. They guys damaged the door of our oven when they came in the door and promised to contact LG and have a new door sent out. We spent $5000. They warned me that LG is notoriously slower with their service, which is when I should have refused the shipment, but I didn't. They never called, they never came out. I sent an email - no response. Finally got the manager who told me TOO MUCH TIME ELAPSED since they damaged the item, and they weren't responsible anymore. Then I was convinced to get a washer/dryer. Well here we are 9 months later and the 'dependable' washer is broken, it won't drain. Google this problem and it is VERY common with this washer. AND even better, ELECTROLUX is refusing to fix it in most of the machines with the problem, leaving the customer with money out of pocket and no working machine. GO TO LAKES in Medford, if you want small, go to BEST BUY if you want a warranty you can count on. Every issues I've ever had with appliances from there was handled immediately. We used Albo's 5 years ago when we remodeled our kitchen. Drew was a great help finding exactly what we wanted. We had a house fire this past February and need to redo the kitchen. I went straight to Drew and Albo's to get our appliances. I didn't know the exact day the kitchen would be ready but they ordered them and held them for us. buyer beware I was sold a washer that was a NEW floor model was told new out of box it was delivered after my first load of wash it leaked all over my floor. I called JR at Albo in Audubon. I was told to call Speed queen for a repair. I was furious to have to call for a repair on a brand new washer. He said that he could come and get it but I would have to pay full price and wait for another one, so I disconnected the call with him and called speed queen I attempted to register my washer and I received a message. It was already registered February 2023 and it was repaired and returned in June 2023. What a terrible process Albo has to put used washers on their showroom and try to sell them as new out of box . If the washer did not leak, they would've gotten away with selling me a used product. Always register your products. You will find out if it's new or used. , I did not buy as is it was just new out of box is what I was told I would've never bought as is or used Also if a manager does not know the backstory, he should've never sold it to me. I recommended Albo to my daughter because I have purchased several appliances from them in the past. BIG MISTAKE. I guess that era of good customer service has passed. She bought 3 appliances in March including a dryer that broke after 3 weeks. Albo sold a defective dryer and was zero assistance in getting it replaced. Three months later she is still waiting for GE to replace 3 parts and slowly rebuild the dryer. Albo got their money and have no interest in the quality of their goods. I didn't feel like I was being pushed into any particular option, he guided me toward finding the perfect fridge. Purchased a Wolf range from Drew. He told us the price included delivery and installation, but he didn't tell us that his installers aren't certified and can't really do the job. One of the installers told me that they frequently schedule installations that the people he sends aren't qualified to do. On the first visit, they brought the range and told us, for the first time, that the gas line needed to be moved. We had the gas line moved by a plumber and asked them to come back to finish the installation. On the second visit, they left the range a foot away from the wall and said that was a complete installation. Drew refused to have his guys come back and push the oven against the wall. Had to separately hire and pay a qualified Wolf installer! read more

My 92-year-old mother-in-law purchased over $10,000 worth of appliances for a new house. The washing machine broke in less than two years. It was fixed because she had the five year warranty. It broke again, same issue a few months later. They would not do anything except order the same part again, now they're telling us it might take five months to get the part. Once they sell you the merchandise they do not care they have no real customer service! Expecting someone to go five months without a washing machine is ridiculous. My husband and I have been long time customers of Albo Appliance in Maple Shade, NJ. Through the years, we have bought various appliances and are always pleased with their selection and pricing. Many times we were even able to take advantage of rebates offered by the manufacturer and/or Energy Rebates from New Jersey. Timing is everything! Last month, our washer broke while doing a load of laundry and wouldn't drain the water out. We debated on having the washer repaired, but since it was over 12 years old, we decided to replace our washer with a new high efficiency washer. I knew that I wanted a top load washer without an agitator so I could fit more laundry into the machine. Without hesitation I went to Albo. Years ago we randomly had John Cunning as our salesman and since then have always dealt with him. John is extremely knowledgeable, honest and has always given my husband and I guidance on which brands are more reliable. John is my go to appliance guy and salesman extraordinaire! He does not automatically recommend that a customer purchase the high end model of whatever appliance you need, but rather the best appliance that will fit your current needs. Once again, John helped me compare the models of washers that I had been considering and assisted me in making an educated choice. Since we have a previous purchase history and I was curious how old our dryer was, John had me guess and then told me that our dryer was 10 years old. I thought it would be wise to be proactive because it would only be a matter of time before the dryer stopped working. Besides, it does look nicer to have a matching washer and dryer. John did not pressure me or try to up sell like is done today in so many stores! Three days later my washer and dryer were delivered and set up. I am very happy with my purchase and love the way my new washer and dryer chimes at the end of the cycle instead of buzz like my old washer and dryer! UPDATE 6/25 - jessica, from the maple shade store called shortly after this review was posted and was instrumental in effecting the return and refund with the assistance of the owner. my comments about the GE microwave stand. the purpose of a brick and mortar company is to provide a level of service not available on the internet. in the past albo appliance (audubon, nj branch) has performed admirably in that role. we bought a ge stove whose burners were so easily dislodged that they were a danger (unstable platform to pots and pans). ge battled mightily but our albo rep, ginny, held ground ultimately replacing it with a magic chef stove. since then we bought from albo a ge microwave and a ge refrigerator and a garbage disposer. that was then, this is now. we decided to not repair our microwave (blower died) and bought from albo a lower level ge microwave , jvm7195dfww, that had the features we want. we installed it under a typical cabinet using filler blocks, as recommended, to match the cabinet overhang. the microwave rests on a rear bracket and is then raised and secured with two machine screws that screw into two anchors on the top of the microwave. (the directions call for three, but only two are available) the day after it was installed it had sagged away from the cabinet 3/8" or more. we were able to see the two anchoring spots and they had deformed the top of the cabinet by that 3/8". we dropped the front of the cabinet and reassured ourselves that the anchors were totally dependent on sheet metal for strength!!!! apparently, in ge's attempt to compete at the low level they sacrificed structural integrity. (i realize we could remove the filler blocks and crank away on the fasteners but the fasteners would go deeper into the unit than designed contacting who knows what. no consumer could possibly see this defect in any reviews. and what does this brick and mortar company do to serve a function? "we're just salesmen" and "we don't have technical people". they referred us to a ge phone number (not even facilitating the process by calling their ge rep). ge jumped right on it and said we could get a technician july 1 (six weeks hence) all we wanted is to return a structurally deficient product that is impossible for a consumer to see. easy peasy. not so in the new albo world. we've filed a bbb complaint and stopped payment with the credit card company. what a horrible way to do business. ginny, wherever you are, you're missed!!! read more

I bought a range here. I told the salesman that I had and electric stove and wanted to convert to gas. He said "No problem - we have a guy. Here is his card. He charges $200". He wasn't answering while I was in the store. When I got home I still couldn't get him until the day of delivery. So, I think, OK, I might have to wait a few days for the hookup. No. He doesn't do this. He wanted the $200 to come out and simply attach an existing gas installation to the stove. I made it very clear to the sales guy that I had a gas furnace exactly under where the stove is and all he needed to do was to lead a pipe from the basement through the floor to the stove. His scam was that I just bought the stove from him and the hookup was my problem. So the delivery guys show up. They look at the existing electric stove and say they cannot disconnect it - it's electric! (four screws and the cable is off). So, I have two stoves in the kitchen. So much for the "free haul away". In the end I had to pay someone to haul the old stove away. The guy who services my furnace was able to disconnect the old one, lead the gas pipe to the new stove and install an electric outlet behind the stove - a requirement not told me by the sales guy - in order to light any of the burners. My furnace guy charged me $150 for doing all that on short notice. Avoid this store at all costs. read more

I have purchased many appliances from them in the past and generally received good service. Something has changed! I ordered a refrigerator two weeks ago to be delivered yesterday. The drivers showed up with an uncrated damaged unit which turned out to be a floor model. I requested they leave the unit until a could be replaced. The owner Brian rudely told me they don't operate that way and I would have to keep the damaged unit if they leave it. It was removed . I was expecting a new appliance. Not a great way to take care of a customer! Stay away from this company! Very unethical. read more

From start to finish, the purchase was seamless, he gave me a great price both times and customer service was excellent. I had purchased a dishwasher previously from Home Depot and the experience was a nightmare. After 3 months they eventually took it back but I would never buy an appliance from them again.
