I tried calling the Keller, TX location prior to leaving. No one answered either in lumber or customer service. I took a chance and drove out there. Their competitor is closer, but I only use them as a last resort. I search the lumber area for fifteen minutes and can't find what I'm looking for. They're were no associates anywhere close. This store is horrible! We ordered a rotary mower online, and came to this store for pick up. Before I went, I checked online to make sure that Lowe's does price matching (Amazon), and they do as long as it is in stock. They even said it on the Lowe's price match guarantee website. When we came to the store, they refused to price match us, saying they would only match the brick and mortar store's prices. We drove 30 mins to this store for pickup, and because they wouldn't match the price, we had to cancel the order. The employees here (including mangers) don't even understand their own policy. Great Lowe's store! Employee help can be a little hit-or-miss, but generally VERY friendly and helpful! Had to buy lots of lumber for a building project. A lady in the back helped me find the wood I needed, then helped me carry it to the cashier AND the car while my hands were full with other items. Their system for purchasing online and picking up items in store is also pretty great. Returns are easy...especially now that they have their MyLowes Program (I would say Home Depot used to beat them at the returns-game, since the HD system would hold info on your credit card and reciepts). read more

Great customer service at returns. I lost a receipt for something that had a rebate. I thought I was SOL, but then recalled Lowe's has a record of my purchases, if I present the same credit card, which I did. I was able to get a "new" receipt by "returning" my items and "buying" them again on the spot. Thanks to this neat trick, and helpful service, I'm now able to claim my $15 rebate. read more

We bought our blinds for our whole house here. Ann and Jan from the blinds/window treatments department were so kind and easy to work with. They are patient and will spend hours with you making sure that everything is correct and on time. Their subcontractor who came to do the measurements and installment was super professional too. They made the whole process very easy and it has been a year since everything has been installed and we haven't had any problems yet. We also bought our storm doors here and the people we worked with in the department was professional too. Everything came on time and was installed properly. We love our storm doors! We bought our washer and dryer here and they came on time and removed our old washer and dryer and installed the new washer and dryer very efficiently. I read some of the other reviews and I guess we got lucky that we didn't work with those people from the other departments. We had nothing but pleasant experiences here. read more

We have had the most frustrating experience with this store. It started back in March when we paid for a fully new kitchen, cabinets, counters, appliances. We were told by the sales person, Harvey Roberts that it would 4-6 weeks. Four to six weeks later, nothing. Phone calls went unhelpful. E-mails to Harvey went ignored. One day, a truck arrived to pick up our appliances. NO WORK HAD BEEN DONE YET. Another e-mail to Harvey, asking what was going on. A response this time, cold in tone as if to ask "how dare you contact me?" We finally get a solid date nailed down on the cabinets to be delivered. They arrive in JUNE. THREE MONTHS WHEN WE WERE TOLD FOUR TO SIX WEEKS. The cabinets got installed, but then the installers hauled away the cabinets, NOT telling the store that they had done so. Now we are waiting on our new fridge which has yet to be delivered because the delivery date is set for JULY. So we are without a fridge for two weeks because of the complete lack of communication between the store and whoever they use as their third parties. Oh, but wait, there is more. The installers are setting up the stove and the dishwasher, but need the cords to plug them in. The store did not deliver them to us, so I went to pick them up. I went to customer service, and they called Harvey, who VERY rudely told me that he would have them delivered the following day because there was no way that the installers would have the cabinet installation done same day as the demolition. They did. It is a small kitchen. He grudgingly went and got me the cables needed, but not without giving me dirty looks the entire time. There needs to be ONE point of contact for this kind of stuff. Not multiple. There needs to be compassion for the people who have been waiting for their things to arrive and the work to be done. ABOVE ALL ELSE, THERE NEEDS TO BE PROPER COMMUNICATION BECAUSE TOO MANY PEOPLE ARE GIVING THE CUSTOMER TOO MUCH INACCURATE INFORMATION AND IT IS INCREDIBLY FRUSTRATING. read more

NOT VETERAN FRIENDLY Bad and not helpful experience with customer service representative towards *veterans*. I purchased over $1,000 in products. The associate on the floor was beyond helpful and took over an hour assisting it's questions and walking us up to the register. We decided that a credit card for a heavy purchase would be the wisest decision. Upon walking to the register it went downhill. The woman who knows about credit card information did all communication through the gentleman that helped us about MONEY. She did this for 15 minutes until we got to paying and she said our purchase was only capped at $100 off. We weren't able to take advantage of the veteran discount property due to her lack of communication and instead got a credit card. We weren't told the cap of opening a credit card would only give us a discount up to $100 because of her lack of customer service and communication. She didn't inform us that the veteran discount would have saved us more than the credit. Lastly, once we told her that she hadn't been communicating with us only through her co worker she takes back instead of understanding this was a big purchase or frankly doing her job and helping a customer. I addressed that issue and she kept repeating that she didn't know why there was $100 off. It wasn't about the money off at the end it was the fact that she communicated with her fo worker about finances, a credit card and a large purchase to somebody who is not paying. I find this highly insulting as a customer to spend so much and not get assistance. Especially because Lowe's claims to be so VETERAN friendly, it's extremely disappointing as it goes against their mission statement to help their customers. I have been a big Lowes fan since Home Depot blew me off a few years back as I was trying to purchase the supplies for a major bathroom remodel....they could not be bothered.....and I have been happy to make Lowes in Keller my Go-To location for all things home improvement.... But today was so impressive in terms of customer service that I searched our Yelp community, and sure enough...there is my Lowes in Keller.... So, new ceiling fan 85 percent through installation...and remote not working....rewired connectionst 4 times, took everything apart again, reassembled....scratched head.....still nothing....changed codes in remote and transsponder...nope.....unit dead and not working.....took controller and frustration to Lowes and visited with Jesse in electrical explaining my dilemma... Instead of being told what I might be doing wrong, or some other typical excuse to get me out of the store...he listened to my dilemma, then walked over to a new fan still in the box, opened the box, took out the parts that might causing me problems and handed them to me, sending me on my way with the request that I bring back what I didnt use to get the fan working....WOW!!!! So, I go home...fix the fan....and bring back the unused parts.....while I am waiting for Jesse to return to fans section of store, head manager walks up and asks if maybe he can assist me, while cashiers contact Jesse to meet me in fans...I now have THREE Lowes employees acting like I am the most important person in that whole store!!! I was amazed!!!! So, the kicker to the story....we had left the clear outer wrapper on the battery before putting it in the remote....wow, my parents would be so proud they had spent all that money on engineering school!!!! In today's world of crap service, and big box stores filled with clerks that just dont care, Lowes in Keller is ignoring the trend of bad service, and rocking the home improvement world.... So this past weekend, my garbage disposal died. While not exactly an emergency, I didn't want it to get clogged with anything and prevent the dishwasher from doing its thing (now THAT would create an emergency situation!). So off I go to my local Lowe's. While I'm perusing the disposals, a very nice man asks if I'll be needing installation service. Now my husband is a pretty handy around the house, but I had a visual flash of my kitchen sink being out of order for most of Saturday (or longer) on this upcoming holiday weekend and not being able to go anywhere until this activity was completed, so when the guy mentioned installation, I immediately said YES!! I asked about the folks they use and he said they only use licensed contractors. So, OK. Anyway, the price to install the disposal was going to be $106 (trust me, a bargain compared to the reality of the visual flash). I paid for the installation along with the disposal when I checked out. A couple hours after the purchase, a plumber calls me and says he has time to do the work today if I'm available. YES! He said he would there between 2 and 4 and arrived at 2:30. By 3:00, he was finished and had made sure everything was working and that there were no leaks. Amazing! While this turnaround time with the installation may have been quicker than usual, I was definitely one satisfied customer. And I have a working disposal. And the kitchen won't be out of commission this weekend! Now, what else is going to break around here... read more

I used to be a big Lowe's fan when I lived in the East Coast. But the Lowe's in Texas seem to be "different". When I say, "different," I mean that a large majority of the time, there are NO checkout people with the exception of one person managing the self checkout line, and usually one of the four machines are broken. The guys who help out on the floor seem ok but there aren't that many of them. This is for the Keller/Watuga store on N Tarrant and Rufe Snow. Basically I'll drive another 3-4 miles to Home Depot and fight the traffic at the 377 intersection so that I can get help and check out without having to wait for someone who likely has had better management and training. read more

Lowes Build and Grow Keller, TX Rating (5 Being the Best) 3.5 Overview Most people know what Lowes is. But for those who don't, Click Here. Lowes Hosts a "Build and Grow" session on select Saturdays' throughout the year. Usually at least once a month, depending on your Lowes. They typically require registration before you come, or you will need to wait until the event is almost over and see if any no shows left supply for you and your kid. (Incidentally Home Depot does this type of thing too and there's might be more frequent... but that's another post. We usually do both!) The kids get a free branded apron and goggles to keep. They are given a project to work on which includes wood and nails. This is their to take home as well. They are given, to borrow not keep, a miniature hammer their own size! Projects could be anything from a wooden car for NASCAR week or a picture frame for mothers day or a bird feeder for spring. When the child (and accompanying parent) has completed the project they will go to the attendant and pick up a badge which can be stuck on, ironed on, or sewed on to the apron. It's a great little event, something to do with the kids that is out of the house, but in doors (usually unless it's nice outside, then they might put it outside). One my favorite parts of the even is the cost... Cost FREE! You don't pay for the apron, googles, or even the craft. It's all part of the corporate advertising in an attempt to start building brand loyalty in kids at a young age. Market research now says that if you can build brand recognition at a young age, it translates into brand loyalty in older (buying) years. Hence: Toy Chevy or Toy Ford cars or trucks. Interesting. Kids This event is specifically for kids. It's a wonderful free activity to give the kids something to look forward to and you a good reason to get out of the house. Tips to enjoy it better... Put it on your calendar. This way you won't forget. If you use an electronic calendar, like outlook or Google calender, and your local Lowe's does it every "1st Saturday" of the month. You would always have reminders by scheduling these events as recurring reminders without having to plug each out in manually. On that note, if you use an ECalendar put the Build and Grow website, and local phone number and address of your local Lowe's into the notes for that calendar event. This makes it easy to get to check what project is coming up, or call in bad whether to see if it's still open. See what the project is before you go. The website, click here, usually gives you the project ahead of time. My kids whole heartedly reject Sponge Bob. He may as well have leprosy to see my kids react to him. So we look at what's being made ahead of time to see if the project includes themes, brands, or images that we'd rather avoid. We typically don't go in October for that reason. Perfectionists... Calm down! This is especially true for Dad's with building, but could apply to a strong Type A Mom. This is your KIDS build and grow event. Don't take over. Don't be that parent building it for the kid, while the kid watches bored next to you, and you don't even notice because you took over. Help them, don't take over. Be patient. Final Thoughts This is a fun free event. These types of skills will help their hand eye coordination, ability to interpret and follow instructions, and complete a project or task. This place is a hot mess when it comes to curbside pick up. I placed an order on 8/15/2020 for three items. When I received the notification that my items were ready, it said that one item was out of stock. Fine. No biggie. Never once was I told they were "special ordering" the item (which happens to be a $4 item, btw) for me. Today, 8/25/2020, I get a call telling me my order is ready and to pick up within two weeks or it will be returned to stock. The item, mind you, is a vent deflector. I was in a hurry to an appointment, but thought I'd stop to pick it up. Because I didn't know the order number off hand, I, of course got attitude from the curbside employee. I mean, dang, it's been ten days. Then the order was found, so I waited for it. Now mind you I didn't wait like 30 mins. Maybe ten, but I had to go. I called curbside directly and told them I needed to cancel the order. They began asking me questions and out of nowhere, the connection is lost. The store was so loud in the background that my assumption is she couldn't hear me and hung up. I got home, called back and was informed there would be a $5 restocking fee. I told them, "There better not be. I wasn't even told y'all were even ordering the item for me. I was told you didn't have it and that was it." I was put on hold for a few and then the lady came back on and said my card would be refunded. I said great and made sure no restocking fee was being charged. She the repeated that my card was being refunded. I then asked once more if I'm being charged for the restocking fee. She finally said no. All of it will be refunded to your account. Was that so hard? Geez. I say, if you need anything, go to Home Depot. Cheaper. More in stock. Seem more friendly. I like this Lowe's for plants and related things, though. Worst customer service. I went in to buy and have carpet installed in my house. I picked one out and arranged to have my house measured. Everything after their measure went downhill. I showed up at the store the following Monday to finalize my install. There was no one in the flooring department and this was 1:30 pm. The store said I would need to make an appointment when the guy showed up at 2pm. So I went home and proceeded to call them 5-6 times to no avail. So I went back at 7pm and the only guy there was a trainee (Anthony). He said the main guy was at lunch. He took my name and number and said he would have him call me. I never heard back. I tried calling today to speak to a manager, but was unable to even reach a phone operator much less a manager. I'm done.... read more

If I could give less than one star, I would! None of the employees that I encountered knew anything about the area in which they worked. I asked three employees that work in the outside area about pots by a certain designer that were featured on the website and were in stock at the Keller location. None of the employees knew what I was talking about or tried to help me find them. I also asked about ornamental grasses and they looked at me as though I was speaking a foreign language. I needed other supplies inside and it wasn't any better. No one could direct me to post clamps nor did anyone try to help me with 160 feet of steel wire. Worst experience EVER!! Very frustrated with the customer service at this store. Ordered an expensive grill online, waited a month for it to arrive at the store. Received a call the day before it was to be delivered, was told that I would receive another call in the morning and they would provide a window for delivery. No call the next morning, by lunch time I tried to call customer service to get some kind of window. Got transferred around several times and they hang up multiple times. Finally after several attempts to call back and begging the persons answering the phone to not put me on hold again, I finally got in touch with Eddie the manager. He said he would contact the driver and call me back with a window. 3 hours later still no call and they just let the phone ring. I called six times only to get transferred around put on hold and eventually hung up on again and again and again...! Customer service sucks! The driver finally showed up at 8pm. After all this, the grill was missing parts, like the drip pan. Now I have to drive back up to the store to pick up the missing parts. The grill was supposed to be professionally assembled. Several of the screws were stripped out. I'll never buy a big ticket item from them again. read more

I normally shop here at this Lowe's in white settlement store. Yesterday I went in to buy pool supply such as the big bucket of granulated chlorine. So I ask an associate by the the name James which was extremely rude when I approach him for help in picking up the bucket which was too heavy for me. He responded !What! With a serious face like go away, And stared right straight at me with an intimidating altitude arrogant approach, and I said I need help with the granulated chlorine put in my shopping cart, so he point out to another associate with demands to get off the hallow and help me, and the young man did assist me, when I get to the register to check out, I ask the cashier by the name Elizabeth Very nice lady, helpful and very professional who check me out if she can page someone to help me. The same man James came up and ask me to pull my vehicle up front and I said how can I pull my vehicle around with my 2 dogs inside the shopping cart, he again gave me a harsh look and demand some one else to help me, which an other associate did, it was then when I ask the associate that assisted me if he was the manager, and he said that he wasn't a manager. I don't know how many people he has treated this way but by the looks of it and his whole attitude he has. Someone need to address to him his bad character towards customer. Totally unacceptable and unnecessary. I go there to shop not to be treated with disrespect and arrogance. So if you don't like the job stay home. read more

The two stars are for the clearing house for orders. They should have no stars. I am only giving extra stars because the manager of the actual delivery store was good and maybe honest with me. I ordered a dishwasher June 24th and the delivery date kept being pushed out by the central center and then they were supposed to deliver it yesterday. (first it was July 18 and then it was August 18 and then it was September 9...) I called the 800 number on the email at 9 am to verify. I was told it was still on the schedule. No one called all day and finally at 3:30, I called the 800 number again and they told me after wrangling on the phone between several people that it was going to arrive September 15. Then I called the actual store that is to deliver and the nice manager there was kind enough to tell me that actually, they did not have the dishwasher and that at this time, it looks like October 15th for that order. I went to another store and bought the same dishwasher and that store states is in stock. It may not be the exact model number but it is the same brand, has the same top three features that we wanted and hopefully they really can deliver it the 17th of September. My advice is to never shop online again. I happen to have a handicap which makes it very hard to stand or sit for long periods I will have spasms in every muscle of my body randomly. Like a seizure but I am awake to experience the abnormal body spasms. I am constantly having to try to stretch these muscles back out. But, as everyone knows... in June the lines outside of the stores just to get in were enormous. Even having to shop last night was very very painful. We will see if the other store does better. The biggest issue I have is that on the very same day, each time I called a Lowe's representative, I got a different answer. Three different answers and multiple excuses from " we closed a bunch of stores due to the storms and our inventory, we have fewer employees, to the company stopped producing in order to make respirators and then went back to making the dishwashers and couldn't get parts because other entities were closed or not delivering? but then now they are back to making dishwashers...hopefully, they won't have to shut the factory back down for more respirators" Just curious, did someone also train more pulmonologists to operate all these respirators? If I were the manager of the store and saw an item that was unavailable, I would look for the closest match and explained the situation and given the customer a choice. In June, someone should have called me to tell me that this was the case. Now, what was left at the store was picked over and I had a choice at their store of only 6 dishwashers that were actually located at the store. The other store, states they have it in a warehouse but until I actually see this item, I don't know if they are going to be any better. If I go buy a car, I can see the the car and drive the car to see it's performance and drive off the lot that day. I also can order a special built car and sometimes, they will look through inventory in another place to find it or have it specially built. Apparently, I bought an item that was not available in any location and had to be specially built. I was not told this or I would have never ordered this item. I cancelled the order with Lowes because of the many stories and delays without honesty from anyone about the situation except maybe the manager but the only brands they had at the store were not appealing to me. I went to a closer store to buy so I could look the guy in the eye and find out if they really had one or were going to do the same thing to me. This morning, due to stress and exacerbation on phone for several hours altogether to get a run around and then having to go out in the rain to shop, I have a migraine to go with body aches all over. The pain I had during the process was incredible. I hope my day gets better. I know it hasn't been that great wiping up the water that is leaking from my old dishwasher for all these months. Shopping online is a nightmare choice. I will not do THAT again. I might consider going to this store because the manager was nice and was apparently not aware of the situation. He just got placed into the fire after the main part of company that manages the order had already put me in a bad place. So I will endeavor to work with someone in real life. read more

This store is not customer service oriented. They expect you to contact the supplier if the product fails. The vendors they use for contract work are below average. Disclaimer: This is a general vent to make me feel better... Lowes is generally good. Like the store and people. We bought a Brute self propelled lawn mower last December as a back up if the lawn guy didn't show up. Used once in the spring no problems. Went out today and nearly killed myself trying to start it. Went online and noticed they no longer sell it. Thank goodness! Don't know if its Brute or a Briggs & Statton (who is overrated in my view) issue, just wish Lowes had pulled it before we purchased. Of course you all know the routine from here. Have to go to FAQs, take to an authorized repair center, etc. I'm not in a position to be able to empty gas tank (even if I felt comfortable doing that), nor am I able to get a mower I USED ONCE to a repair shop. Like most retailers, Lowes doesn't really stand behind their products - pass that duty on to the manufacturer. I'm dating myself, but still miss the days when a store stood behind the products they sold, regardless of who made it. Not Lowes fault per se, just the way it is. Thanks all for the vent. My only complaint about this location is that the employee's NEVER ask if you need help...especially when you need it! All other aspects are good, however. Currently the worst with associates walking around not waiting on customers. Yea, we can tell when you try to act like you're busy but really trying to avoid our questions. We've always enjoyed great service at our Keller Lowe's. I recently purchased a Scott's Snap fertilizer spreader - you know, the one they advertise on TV with the fertilizer bags that simply lock on making fertilizing your lawn a "snap". Well, it didn't work. When I locked the bag onto the spreader, the wheels locked up. I took it back to Lowe's and exchanged it for a conventional broadcast spreader and a bag of Bonus-S. Don't bother renting a carpet cleaner from Lowes. No matter what you do you won't get your "cleaning deposit" back. It's the second time this has happened to us and both times the machine was cleaner when we returned it then when we rented it. They will find dirt to scrape and show you and it's total bs. I ordered a washer and dryer that was being delivered from this location. I was scheduled to get my washer on Saturday Sept 16th. I called the location to see what time I should be expecting the delivery because no one called or emailed. When I got ahold of delivery, which took me 3 calls. They told me I didn't have a delivery schedule. I now have to wait an extra week to get the washer. I'd like to know how they didn't have anything in their computers for a delivery. This store doesn't like to stand behind products it sells or their customers. We bought a Craftsman M230 mower in the spring (beginning of mowing season), and 64 days after buying it, it broke. We returned it to the store and since it was "over 30 days" they said they'd send it out for repair and if it's a mfg malfunction it would be on them. They came back to us saying we never put oil in the mower when in fact we had to TWICE since buying it. Mind you-this is a brand new mower that we had to put oil in...again TWICE since buying. What does this tell you. There is a problem with the mower itself. We have told this to the store personnel we have talked to til we are blue in the face. All we asked for was to return this mower and get another one. They wouldn't do this. So, we are out over $300. Over the past 20+ years we have owned our home, we have spent thousands at Lowes. I think we will have to spend our remaining thousands on house projects at other retailers. They have lost our business. Such a shame over poor customer service and $300.00. read more

Everytime that I go there is nobody to help you and last time a lady on landscaping section she was very rude not saying the guy that is on appliances he is the worse... on customer service there are nice but the people on the floor is a joke read more
