If you are thinking of purchasing an extended warranty on an appliance from Lowe's, think again. We bought a five year warranty on a refrigerator that we bought from there. The ice maker broke sometime in early November. It still isn't fixed. The company A&E factory service that is supposed to fix it kept canceling our appointments the day before they're due to arrive. They canceled another appointment for yesterday and rescheduled for the beginning of February! We are senior citizens. My husband is a disabled veteran. We have canceled multiple doctors' appointments to accommodate the repair people . We have gotten no help from Lowe's or A&E services. We have been told to be patient. We have just run out of patience. We are going to hire someone to fix our refrigerator ourselves. Customer service told me that there are people with more important issues so we are bumped to the end of the line. There is no reason to have a warranty if nobody honors it. Normally I never have any issues with Lowes. I have gone to them for years in Southern California and never had a single problem until I moved to Eugene Oregon. Multiple incidents at this location make me wonder why such a level of gross negligence to their customers. I bought a washer and a dryer and for some reason the lady ringing me up decided to give me a washer and dryer that was completely different from the models I asked for. I was at least happy with the washer and dryer she picked but really angry that it cost me more money than I had originally intended. I had no other way to do laundry and wanted a washer and dryer so badly I was too annoyed to ask them to give me the ones I actually wanted. Then I paid 8k to have a fence installed at my house. I had them come out the first week of October and I am still sitting here waiting for a fence install and it most likely won't happen until December. Possibly the worst communication and service of any hardware store I have dealt with. Weeks went by and no one called me or updated me on my fencing materials. You'd think for 8 thousand dollars they'd be more interested in helping their customers. Nope! I had to call THEM every time to ask where my fencing materials were. I would get a very unapologetic excuse about how the materials were not ready because the manufacturer did not have it in stock. I was told it will be here on the 7-8th of Nov, and it did not show up. No one called me or informed me about anything. No one gave me any updates. Again I had to call and I was told my fence materials were not in and I would have to wait until the 15th. 15th arrives, no one calls me 16th arrives, no call. Again I have to call Lowes to ask where the fencing materials are that I paid for and I get told oh they came in, and a contractor will be calling you. 1-2 days later I again have to call Lowes to explain how displeased I am about the whole situation and only then am I given a phone number for the contractor that keep claiming they emailed to contact me. They delivered my materials at 730am the day after thanksgiving which I guess is better than not delivering it, but come on. 730am the day after a holiday? Then you guys didn't even spell my last name right on all of the materials. My last name is FOUR letters and you guys managed to get it wrong. It just feels like no one gives a sh*t at Lowes. :( I honestly wish I had gone with some other fencing company because it has been 2 months and I still have no fence and I am out 8 thousand dollars. I will never recommend Lowes to anyone ever again. I wish I could give them 0 stars as they are pretty clueless on how to treat their paying customers. I'll take my money to Jerry's from now on. Edit: Lucas at Lowes gets 5 stars, the rest of Lowes gets 1 star for being awful, not delivering all the parts needed for the fence, and damaging my gate on delivery. I understand that people are understaffed and things are a little different because of the covid 19 virus. I am normally a very patient person but I ordered a stove one month ago and was promised delivery on this day Thursday July 16th during the midday. I got confirmation via text that my stove would not be delivered until between 5:30 and 8:30pm that evening a couple of days before. So, I understood and rearranged my schedule and everything was ready. Thursday comes and we sat here and waited for 8:30 to come with no delivery men no phone calls nothing to tell me that they would not be able to deliver until 8:35 when someone finally called me and said matter of factly, your stove will not be delivered tonight we're going to reschedule for Monday. My husband is disabled and I work so I have to make special arrangements to be home when I have something delivered that he cannot help with. I told them this at the store this was put down in the notes when I ordered it and so now I have to rearrange my schedule again to be h ere on Monday. I'm sorry I don't care if it is because of covid 19 I think it's because they just hired a third party delivery service which they should fire because they're not doing a good job and I will never buy another appliance from Lowe's. read more

I bought a grill from Lowes in mid-April already assembled. After a few uses I noticed that it didn't have a drip pan. I returned to the store and asked what my options were since I had already used the grill a few times. Gabriel listened to my issue and after a short period of time determined that the store did not have the part. He requested that I return to the store later in the week with the used grill.. which I did. The store did not have an assembled grill as Gabriel had attempted to find for me. Without missing a beat, he offered me a grill that was assembled but was more expensive then what I had purchased. Gabriel provided me with exemplary customer service and I will definitely be a returning customer. read more

Absolutely the worst communication when it comes to deliveries. Eugene, Oregon Lowes screwed up and delivered the wrong stove AFTER it was canceled. After 10 days still waiting for correct stove to be delivered even though it's been in stock. Talked to 10 different sales associates and got a different reason every time. Was told I would receive a phone call day before delivery. It's now after 9pm with no call. Avoid this store. Unfortunately I also ordered a refrigerator too. Let's see if I actually get it. Lowe's on W 11th has the absolute worst customer service. After searching around for someone that worked there with no luck in finding anyone, I had to go to the front to get help, I heard the page but no one ever came. No wonder your company is having financial difficulties. You don't train your staff! It's interesting that the reviews are either stellar or abysmal. Seems like proof of their hit or miss customer service. Five-star people, please give the rest of us your secret. I gave this review two stars instead of one because the store employee was really trying to help me - he sadly failed. I called to get a lumber price. The employee on the other end couldn't find an open computer, I could hear his footsteps as he schlepped around the store for 10 minutes. Success - he'd found one of the items I needed to purchase! I needed prices on 4 more items for a fence - basic stuff - and since I now knew he would have to do even more schlepping (not a single computer in the store for his use), I said thanks for the help but we'd figure it out ourselves. He suggested using the website which I'd already done - the website was no help. It told me there were no fence pickets available in the West Eugene store while the previously referred to employee told me there were tons and tons of pickets and other fencing materials coming in all the time. I've had this problem at the store in person when people had no idea where to find their own products. Last time we were there looking for a specific item, we eventually found it ourselves - the staff hadn't a clue. Went in to look at kitchen appliances and while we were there, multi employees had face masks that did not cover both their mouth and nose at the same time. While we were speaking with an employee who seemed to have the only functional mask in the store, another came right up next to us, removed what little mask he was wearing and started drinking water and sighing (tough job, right). Overall, we didn't buy anything from the store. The entire experience was uncomfortable and Lowe's is clearly not enforcing their own policies with their staff. We ended up just randomly stopping at Kelly's, who remarkably had all their employees wearing proper masks, and ended up buying a stove top that afternoon. I would not recommend shopping in store at this location, possibly any Lowe's location, during the current pandemic. What a let down. read more

I am very dissapointed in the delivery / set up crew that delivered my new washer and dryer today. The two young men seemed to handle the appliances rougher than needed, even though they were efficient in getting them into place and getting them hooked up. My biggest complaint is, after they got the washer in place, the installer started the machine but failed to remove the instruction manual that was in the washer tub. I hope the paper debris does not harm the pump. read more

My preferred home improvement store in the area. The staff is always courteous, attentive, and eager to assist. There seems to always be an employee in visual range that is ready to help. Their selection is wide ranging, especially in the Seasonal and garden department. They even have a wide selection of indoor decorative items, something you usually do not link with this type of store. I have also never had to wait in an unreasonable line. Fraudulent practices, do not shop at Lowes! An item online showed free delivery, but on check-out there was a $79 delivery charge. After 30 minutes 'chat' with local customer service, they referred me to the 800 number. After more than an hour on the phone with them, they refused to honor their website's offer. My advice: Better head to Jerry's. We ordered flooring in June and finally got an install date only to find out Lowe's stored the wood in the wrong place. Given the fact of this stores largest competitor is close by, these folks are now our first stop for larger items and there are a number of reasons for that after dealing with them. I did a slow burn on a customer service issue with this Lowe's store and decided to write to corporate the next day. It took me no less than 15 minutes to find a way to send my comments to them online - no forms or addresses on the current web site. I guess that should have told me something. After finding an address elsewhere, CustomerCare@lowes.com (use it or how will they know?), I spent a half hour venting about how I'd been left cooling my heals in the parking lot for a half hour on an order pickup and was treated quite shabbily. When a customer spends more time on the complaint than what they were complaining about - there's a problem. Avoid Lowe's - head to Jerry's or Home Depot, I will be in future. CustomerCare, an oxymoron at this Lowe's store, sent my comments on to the manager of the store, who clearly does not care, as I've heard nothing since. Years ago, my mother sent a letter to Jerry's about being ignored in the tool department on several visits - they not only contacted her apologizing profusely, but assured her this would not happen again in future and sent her a gift card as well to insure her continued custom. I'd love to rate them higher however they are extremely complicated to deal with for any customer service resolutions. My latest interaction was purchasing a craftsman cordless lawnmower. We live two hours away from this store location (nearest store from our residence). Getting home, unboxing the product we discovered there was no instructions or parts package included in the box. We chose this boxed item as the other only remaining box in store was opened and the one we chose was still sealed. I've called them so far 3 times regarding this. First they stated they will order the parts package from manufacturer and will call me back. I call back. Second phone call they had no information regarding my first phone interaction, they will order the package and ship it to me, calling me when they do. No phone call. Today, my third call to them, oddly enough nobody knows anything about it and will call me back. I'm looking at 50 in gas just to return the thing to these people. 8/13/19 - Lowe's came through on delivering the missing parts. read more

Needed a new dishwasher, and they were super helpful! They didn't try and get us to buy the most expensive one, and they delivered without question. There is a little fee for installation, so we did it ourselves. We'll definitely be going back next time we need an updated appliance. read more

If you want customer service consisting of: 1) deliberate and non-sensical misinformation from their store manager; 2) multiple messages which are supposedly relayed by multiple employees, but result in phone calls not returned; 3) computer programs which can't tell employees who at Lowe's was trying to call you or why, if you miss the call; 4) a head cashier who promises to email you a statement showing you cancelled your order and who giggles when you tell her and she realizes she forgot to email it; 5) employees who transfer your call because they have no idea who handles your issue; 6) an appliance department manager who won't give his name and who gets very nasty and sarcastic when you try to complain to the store manager; 7) endless numbers of employees to whom you will be transferred and who will look up your account only to tell you they have no relevant information. 8) an antiquated computer system which offers no legal forms to sign a contract, forcing you to come to the store if you wish to contract for installation. I had all this experience in a total of five hours of phone and phone waiting time today. I finally decided it was easier to cancel the sales contract, but that took two additional hours of my time. I purchased a washer and dryer over a month ago, and scheduled a delivery for May 28. The guys finally show up 2 hours after a "heads-up" phone call, but did not have the stacking kit to complete install and setup. I spoke with Nancy that evening, who did little to assist, but did setup a scheduled "delivery" on Thursday, June 2. I must have been the last stop of the day as at 1930 guy final shows up with stacking kit but is clueless about setup and install. I speak with Doug, allegedly a manager, who apologizes and says he'll make it right. Another failure as Doug did not make it right. I received a call the evening of June 3, letting me know of my "scheduled " time on June 4, between 1430-1830.......after I discussed with Doug I would not wait around half the day in hopes of a delivery. I call the store back, and after a run around and a disconnect, I speak with Zoey as Doug can't be found......apparently when Zoey joked "Doug must be hiding behind a shoe box"......she wasn't joking. I provide my info to Zoey.....she obviously didn't write it down as within a minute she's asking for my # again.....which I then hear her typing into the computer. She "reports" writing a message and marking it as "urgent" requesting Doug to call me. 13 hours later and no call from Doug. It's become obvious Doug, Nancy and Zoey are either incompetent or care little about customer service. I can do the install and setup, doesn't take a genius, but this is part of the service Lowe's offers and is factored into the price I paid. Totally recommend not buying appliances or other large items from Lowes......the service and leadership can't be trusted. read more

I hadn't been to lowes in a long time and after stopping by there today I now remember why. Their customer service is the worst. I wanted to ask about a bathroom cabinet so I went to the bath service desk. No less than 4 employees walked past me and none of them asked if I needed help. I finally chased one down and asked him to call someone to help me. He did then I still had to wait 7 minutes for someone to come. He was so rude, I was obviously inconveniencing him. They may have lower prices than Jerry's but there you are treated with respect. read more

I wanted so badly to be the "good" review after reading the horror stories. But, alas.... We wanted to make sure our washer/dryer delivery was all set as I had taken out my existing set. We called for verification and even drove to the store to verify delivery and all accessories. First I will say the store clerk was super helpful and nice with the sale...lots of real informative help. The delivery was tardy but the installers were very nice. Of course, everything went off the rails at installation. The adapter kit was completely wrong. Calls to the store: the sales staff was horrid-hung up on us twice and made the most disgusting and snotty remarks, telling us it would do no good to talk to manager or district office. After checking , they don't have the kit; can get it to Eugene store from Roseburg store in TWO weeks and reschedule installation after that. Oh by the way, second call back (even tho their fault) has a cost associated (only free delivery and one time installation). Seems they are quite nice on the front end, but everything changes once they get them $$$. read more

I'm giving this Lowe's a four star rating because the customer service was great. I came in with two screws that I needed to match and the young man working in the hardware section was very helpful. Although they didn't have exactly what I was looking for I got two screws to try and they ended up working. This place really has it all when it comes to anything you need for your home. Gardening supplies, outdoor furniture, light fixtures, cleaning solutions, construction supplies... basically name it and it will be in here. The parking lot is huge so you won't have a problem finding a spot. This Lowe's is just like any of the other ones I've been to but I'm glad the employees seem happy and eager to help. I am sad as I write this review. My husband and I went to Lowe's yesterday to buy a new gas grill and possibly a patio umbrella. Our visit was not good. I LOVE Lowe's! But not anymore! I have chosen them over Home Depot about 95% of the time. We chose a grill and a patio umbrella. Fast forward. We chose our items and discovered that there was a $79.00 charge to deliver. I asked for a manager. The floor manager was anything but helpful. I wish I had gotten her name. We were spending $850.00 and we expected they would give us free delivery. NOPE. The moment she walked up to us, we were quite clear she wasn't going to help us. She didn't help. We left. As we were driving home I was VERY frustrated. When we got home I ordered $1500.00 worth of product from Home Depot with free delivery. My experience was SO bad at Lowe's that I will never buy from them again. NEVER. Today we bought carpet for our house. We have been twice to try and finalize this process. They happen to be having an incredible deal right now and we wanted to take advantage of the deal and the pricing. We had already had Lowes come to our house to do the measurements and we were back now to pick out the carpet. When we arrived the gentleman in the carpet department knew nothing at all. This was the second time this had happened to us which is why we had come back. It was frustrating to again be faced with someone who had not been working long in carpet. He was however, very kind and willing to help. Fortunately, Frankie came back from lunch and saved the day. He was very knowledgeable in carpet and could help us ascertain the difference in the carpets, carpet brands and carpet padding. He was very patient and kind and walked us around and around the carpet section patiently explaining and looking up details he did not know so that we had a comprehensive overview. We ended up selecting carpet that I feel we will be very happy with. However, when it came time to pay, Lowes tried to back down from their advertised free haul away and tried to charge us to take the carpet away. We had to get a manager and discuss the fact that since the sign said it was free, it needed to be free. We were not willing to pay for them to dump the carpet and stood our ground. Ultimately, we were granted what the sign advertised, but I was disappointed that things were not as smooth as they should have been. I am however, very excited for my new carpet! read more

I bought a washing machine from them 2 weeks ago and it is still not here. I was told 3 to 7 days and now 2 weeks later I still see nothing. I talked to the Manager and he said it would be on the truck on Sunday and I would receive a call from him on Sunday to let me know when we could pick it up. Sunday came and went and NO CALL and no washing machine. Called again today (Tuesday) and talked to 2 different people. One told me the washing machine has been here since the 3rd and then transferred me to customer service where she told me it isn't due to be here till tomorrow. What a nightmare.
