Time to replace the refrigerator. We've had good service and experiences at Lowes before so we go in to see what's available. We met up with a sales rep who was very knowledgeable on the brands and their features. Tanner showed us a few different models in our price range and gave us some good insight. We came back after a couple days and had decided on what make and model we wanted. Fortunately Tanner was on duty that day as well and really helped us out with the shipping and delivery options. We opted for the complete setup and installation along with removal of the old. Luck was still on our side as it turned out there was an opening for delivery the next day, so we took it. We were scheduled for a delivery time between 10-2. We received text alerts for time reminders. Another alert showing the delivery tracking, then we even received a call from the delivery team letting us know they were 15 minutes out and on their way. Talk about competent! ...a stream of communication and very timely activities, our new unit showed up at 11am. I had cleared a travel path through the house for the delivery guys (I never got their names) and the first thing they did was remove the front door and take out the old unit. These guys were so smooth and professional that I was shocked. They just went about their business, no wasted time or movements, just disconnected the plumbing for the ice maker, then used an interesting shoulder dolly strap so they could carry it instead of stumbling around with a wheeled dolly. Never even so much as bumped a wall. Once outside they loaded the old one and unpacked the new one. They cleaned up after themselves, no garbage laying around. Next thing I know the front door is rehung and still works perfectly. These guys were polite and professional every step of the way. They walked in the new one, stripped off the protective sheets, installed handles, connected plumbing...... And then it happened..... I never measured the hole where it was going. Ugh. It was so close. I cannot overstate how important it is to measure before you buy.. I should know better.. miraculously we made it fit. This was such a snug fit that I had to remove some baseboards to make it fit. This fit is so tight that for all I know, the fridge might not even be touching the ground. Man that was close.. The whole process though, other than MY mistake was very painless and actually pleasant. The drivers managed to negotiate their truck on my limited turn around area. Everyone I dealt with was positive and upbeat. Delivery and install didn't take long at all and they got rid of the old one for me at less money than the recycling center wanted. My new Frigidaire is working perfectly and I couldn't be more pleased with how the whole event turned out! - just be sure to measure... This is the 5th appliance I have purchased from Lowes. -This refrigerator, a dishwasher, clothes washer, oven and a water heater. Good service keeps us coming back. read more

My husband ordered online, Lowe's Delivery. The other day, it took them 4 hours before they said the stock is not available. Thankfully we were able to find it in Walmart and have it delivered on time. Today (Sunday, 25th of January). We ordered again online. A good cooking thermometer to be used to cook dinner. He did get a notification. But it was laid on the ground in front of the apartment manager's office. Everybody could see it. We ran right away and when we got in there, it's gone... no thermometer found. I don't know if someone took it or the delivery person took it back... the delivery person didn't even bother to call us where our unit is because we can always walk towards where he is. Was the delivery person feel lazy to do this? That's sad cause you're paying the right amount so others can have an income for the day but it seems like they took for granted. I went to this Lowe's because it's close to my home and it was convenient. I needed some paint supplies and luckily had written down the locations of everything I needed ahead of time so I didn't need to waste time wandering around. I also realized I needed a laser level so I found them and needed the cabinet they're in to be unlocked. It took a while to find someone to help me as the employees had all disappeared right when I needed them. I finally found someone who let me in, and they walked me to the self-checkout where another employee removed the security tag for me before I finished checking out. Everything was priced alright, it was a little expensive but I was expecting that since I was on their website yesterday. Well, I'm now not surprised that Lowe's in Eugene is currently working with such low review scores. And I'll add on to their embarrassment. I'm wrapping up a full remodel on a house out by the Thurston area just east of Springfield. I sadly recommended Lowe's to them for finishing materials and appliances. So they went there and got a Lowe's card and did some serious shopping over the next few months. Including all of their appliances as Lowe's did offer them quite a good deal. Yesterday I was putting one of the bathrooms back together and one of the light fixtures was bad. It kept popping the breaker when the ground got connected. So they took the DEFECTIVE light back to get a working one. A simple swap. And they even have receipts and don't forget they bought everything on this Lowe's card. The return department were less than helpful and even charged my clients ten dollars to swap out the lights citing that the light fixture was bout over sixty days ago. This was a faulty fixture! They'll just get a replacement from the company. I'll be damned if I'll EVER recommend Lowe's to anyone. This is very poor customer service. Lowe's definitely takes an L on this. Recently we stopped in to buy items for our deck, and patio area. We had stopped in at all of the other home improvement stores in the area to see what they had, as well as price compare Lowe's not only had a great selection, but they had great prices. We almost picked out a whole patio set which would have cost more than what we ended up doing. I am pretty satisfied with the plastic chairs, cushions, throw pillows, area rug, and side tables we chose. As we were checking out we couldn't not buy the beautiful planters full of beautiful foliage. We even returned to get more cushions because my handy dandy guy built a pretty cool seating area out of cinder blocks that we already had just laying around that needed to be put to use. read more

No. Just no. Poor communication and ineptitude or negligence about a delivery -- and a damaged appliance. We spent more than $3,100 on a refrigerator in the store three days ago. Chris in appliances was friendly and informed and a pleasure to work with. But it all spiraled down from there. Because unbeknownst to us they did not have a current phone number for us, we did not get the automated call that evening telling us when the delivery window would be. The delivery arrived unexpectedly the next morning and I was not ready. We did not take it. Then I had to have a good half dozen telephone calls with various people in the store to arrange for redelivery the next day and get the phone number updated. The last one promised me a call from one of the delivery managers. He never called. We received no automated call that evening. We received no delivery the next day. The delivery manager then told me it was scheduled for today, not yesterday. Not true. An associate had told me earlier she saw it on the manifest for deliveries yesterday. That same delivery manager told me I would get an automated call and that he would personally also call me this morning. We agreed on that. He never called. I called him this morning to ask what the delivery window was and he told me he thought someone had called me, though he'd said he would be the one calling me. He said the delivery time was right then. Sure enough, the truck arrived as I was hanging up at 8:26 a.m. I was not expecting it. I spent 20 minutes clearing out our refrigerator and freezer. Then the delivery crew informed me that the refrigerator has two dents on the back cover where the circuit boards are and that they could be damaged. I sent it back. When I called about this just now it took Lowe's putting me on hold for 13 minutes to find a manager. He at first said the problem was our old phone number, misdirecting the blame for three days of fiasco. He then apologized. We will get our new refrigerator and new dishwasher elsewhere. read more

I do like Lowe's Home Improvement quite a bit, they seem to, pretty much, have everything I need and at a fair price. They always try to be helpful, although with me it's hard for them at times. The biggest issue with Lowe's for me is that I live in Creswell and I literally have to drive past three large hardware stores to get to them, which puts them a bit out of the way for me. A very large plus me is that while all of the larger home improvement stores give us Vets a 10% discount only Lowe's sets aside several parking spaces reserved for us. We purchased and paid for delivery of a refrigerator which was to be delivered within 48 hours to our home. When the delivery drivers showed up, they had a huge truck that wouldn't go up our driveway. They said they'd have to reschedule with a smaller truck and the manager would give us a call in a few to arrange delivery. When the manager called back, he told me that they can deliver the refrigerator curbside and that we would be responsible for getting it into the house, up a step driveway, then up a staircase to the house. My husband and I are in our late 60's and not able to do such lifting, that's why we asked for delivery. In the 20 plus years we have been in our home, this would be the third time we've purchased a refrigerator. We have always had them delivered and never had this issue before. read more

I purchased a refrigerator, range, dishwasher, washer and dryer from Lowe's. All were to be installed in a home I have just purchased. The refrigerator, range, washer and dryer arrived as scheduled and were installed. However, the dishwasher wasn't included. The delivery people told me it needed to be delivered and installed by a licensed plumber. Would have been nice if I'd been informed of this prior to delivery. I contacted the store after 3 days of waiting for them to contact me regarding that delivery and installation. I was told the delivery and installation would be handled by a 3rd party company. I got their name and phone number and reached out to them. The install was scheduled for October 1st and I was told someone would call me the day before with a delivery window. No one called. I called them again the morning of the 1st and was given the time window. The installer never showed up. I called the next morning and was told I'd have to reschedule. Rescheduled for today, October 8th. again, I was told I would be contacted the day before with a delivery window. No one called. I called this morning and was given the delivery window time of 1:15 to 4:15. Installer didn't show up. I called at 4pm and was told the window was actually 4:15 to 7:15. Again, no one showed up. I had actually called Lowe's installation department directly the first time this happened but got no help. After today's debacle I called Lowe's installation again and told them I want to cancel the dishwasher and want a refund of the price of the dishwasher, the installation charge, delivery charge and anything else I was charged for to complete the installation. They said they have to escalate this to the store manager and someone should reach out to me within 2 business days. I would shop elsewhere for a dishwasher, immediately , if I thought Lowe's was going to give me a refund without issue but I don't believe, for one minute, that is going to be the case. In short......DO NOT BUY FROM LOWE'S. I will NEVER again buy appliances from them no matter what kind of deal I might get. read more

Prices are fairly cheap, but that is about it. I do volunteer landscaping for a local nonprofit and when I found out that they work with nonprofits, I turned in a letter of donation request for some martial needed for a re landscaping project at the nonprofit's office. After about a week I called to see where our request was at in the process, never got a call back. A couple of days later I go into the store to check-in, just to be told that someone will call me in the next week and a half. That week and a half came and went with no call. I go in again and was told that the manager was going into an interview and would check on the request and get back to me right away after the interview. After a couple of days and no call, so I go in yet again. This time I was told that all managers were in a meeting, so I left yet another message. After waiting two more days for a call, I figured that they were never going to call me back, so I went ahead and made an online order for the material that is needed for the project. I ended up making a second, smaller order within a couple of minutes and both orders came back saying that they would be ready in three hours. Within 2 1/2 hours I was notified that the second order was ready. I go down to get it and check to see if the other order was ready. To my dismay I was told that they hadn't even pulled it yet, then I was asked if I wanted my order today. I said I did and that when I made the order the site said it would be ready in three hours. I left being told that they would have it ready in an hour and a half. This was at 1pm, I made the order at 10am. At a little after 3pm, I go back and was told they are working on it, and it will be ready soon. I was then directed to pull around to a different loading area where I waited another 20 or so minutes because they hadn't fully pulled my order yet, and they had to wait for a manager to come unlock the gate. I did not get my order till 4pm. Due to the run around I kept getting on the donation request letter, I am now almost two weeks behind on the project, and I had to cancel the work party where the board members and other volunteers were going to come help on the project. If they weren't going to help us, then a call would have been nice. Then I lost a half of day today waiting on my order when I could have been doing other stuff. I decided to try Lowes. The customer service was great at the time of the sell. I was able to buy all the new major appliances & have them delivered within 48 hours. The day of delivery came. My husband took off work for the delivery. The delivery window is between 11- 3. Communication just before 3pm let us know they were running late. Due to having other scheduled appointments my husband had to make the decision to inform my elderly parents of the surprise so they would be available to receive the appliances. The appliances arrived just before 4. They were dropped in the middle of the dining room floor & not installed. Confused, my parents went along with it. I arrived just after 5pm. The delivery drivers were long gone. My parents informed me the appliances were scattered all over their living room. However, the driver called to let us know they will be returning to retrieve a drill they left in the oven. I met the driver outside with the drill when asked why no appliances were installed and the old appliances where not removed like I paid for he stated he couldn't remove the old product because they did not have a "clear pathway to remove them" to this I asked, "if the pathway wasn't clear how they where able to bring 5 new appliances in"!? Clearly frustrated, he continued to spew excuses. He stated he was unable to install the washer/ dryer due to wet towels and an empty container of bleach being in front of them (The washer had a terrible leak. Hints us buying a new set). I replied, "had they been on time my husband (able bodied compared to my elderly parents) would have gladly moved them". Backed into a corner & confronted with logic he rudely drove away mid conversation yelling back to "take it up with Lowes". Immediately, I was on the phone to my local Lowes (Eugene, OR). It took 3 phone calls, each getting a different reason why a manager was not available. Eventually, I was able to get on the phone with a lady who claimed to be the assistant GM. This lady was kind but completely unhelpful. She claimed no responsibility for the appliances bought in her store less than 48 hours prior. She explained that Lowes contracts a 3rd party warehouse/delivery service to expedite appliance delivery. She let me know all returns/issues had to go to them. She transferred my call; I waited on the line for a total of 1hour 52 minutes ... Luckly around the hour mark my husband arrived & called back the customer service number who earlier informed him of the late delivery. They answered immediately. The night warehouse manager was the first person who had any customer service skills. He actively listened to my frustration, asked questions for his understanding, and worked to find a solution. He acknowledged the poor customer service. However, he was unable to remedy the issues that night. Leaving my parents, who use walkers, virtually trapped having to maneuver around 6 major appliances living room. My husband & I planned on going on a road trip opted to bring them along and get them a hotel room so they would be comfortable for the holiday weekend. I was offered a $500 dollar refund & they set the redelivery for 1 week later . Redelivery day: I made sure to take off work to ensure everything was done to standard. The installation team was awesome. They efficiently came and made sure to correct their coworkers' mistakes. They were quick and respectful. They noticed 1. original delivery team left the incorrect cord/ connections for the dryer 2. The original team placed the oven in the correct location however, they never plugged it in 3. The handles for the refrigerator/ freezer were never attached nor was the refrigerator door corrected to open the proper direction. These are all things included in basic installation. What was the excuse for this negligence? I guess I will never know. Also, I was informed that Dishwasher installation would need to be done via a licensed plumber. this would've been something I would have been grateful if the store employee mentioned to us. 1. The local store employees need more training in communicating what's being paid for & what to expect buyers. Examples: dishwashers not being included in installation 2. The delivery drivers need to be held to a higher standard. Assuming product is undeliverable", the driver simply should NOT DELIVER. Bringing 5 new appliances into a house and not properly installing any of them is telling. Not removing any of the older appliances is telling. 3. Deeming a delivery undeliverable needs to be fielded by a Higher up. Clearly the drivers are making decisions that are not fully logical & hurting the company in the process. 4. Taking advantage of an Elderly couple to cut time is disgraceful. 5. Lowes being a company getting a lot of recent flack online because of the subpar quality control/customer service. I would think this was a perfect opportunity to prove yourself. Long story short, DO BETTER! read more

This home improvement store is super far out of the way for me, so I don't go too often. I was never impressed by it until recently. My last two trips were great. Sometimes I wish there was a closer location. I'm currently in the middle of a home remodel, so I've been dragging my husband around looking at new things for the house. I've found my flooring, lamps, curtain rods, and rugs here. He's less than thrilled with this store for two reasons... one is the location. Two is the lamps I picked out only come in a set of four. Those are his drawbacks. I'm a die-hard Jerry's fan, but Lowe's comes in second. I've figured out Jerry's is good for tools and paint. Lowe's is better for home goods. I found lamps, rugs, and curtain rods here that are absolutely perfect for my house. These kinds of items are far more fitting than anything I've found elsewhere. They also have appliances, home organization tools, and much more. My husband and I looked at washers, dryers and refrigerators last night, debating different styles and what we wanted. I've also found a vacuum on Amazon I wanted ($100 less than stores) but I got to see it and mess with it here, so I could officially decide that's what I wanted. The getting to see and touch part is awesome. Customer service is kind of hit and miss, which isn't always a bad thing. When you need help, it's not terribly difficult to find people. But when you just want to wander and check things out, you aren't annoyed by employees constantly asking if they can help you. I despise having people interrupt when I'm discussing something with my husband, so the kind of hands-off approach works for me. I have to admit, I haven't really compared prices to other stores like Jerry's or Home Depot. What I've found that I wanted was perfect for my home, therefore we bought it. Simple as that. The only thing I did look at price-wise was the Dyson vacuum, which was comparable to all of the retail prices I found elsewhere. Would I recommend it? Yes and no. I know that sounds odd. But if you're doing a home remodel, search all stores and really pick out what you want. Every one of them has different items and products. One of the reasons this store gets four stars is the fact I searched it out, and found curtain rods and lamps that match, and fit in beautifully with my home decor. If I hadn't found these things and fallen in love with them, my rating may have been less. It all depends on what you're looking for. So be an informed consumer and find what works for you. read more

Hello, my Uncle, Daughter, & I went to Lowe's on West 11th street in Eugene, Oregon. We were there to buy a new stove/oven. We were looking around & there were 2 employees sitting in a desk area. The woman even had her legs up. I believe we were there around 2:30pm. They didn't ask if we needed any help. That was not a dealbreaker though. I just figured I could approach them when I'm ready.  Shortly after, I approached the woman. I asked "are stoves your department?". She said "yes". I said "we would like to know which ovens in this row are currently in stock". I pointed to a row of I believe 5 or 6 stoves. We were willing to buy either one of them if they were in stock. She then laughed. And not like a giggle, a straight up laugh. She said while laughing still "you need to pick out 1 you want & then we can check". I then explained that we were just at Oldfield's & all 5 that we asked about were out of stock. I said we'd be good with any of the ones they have in stock. She cut me off & repeated herself. Meanwhile, the guy there said he'd go get the inventory list. At that moment, I decided that the woman's customer service was so off-putting, I could not purchase from that store. Whatever stove I got there, would have been a constant reminder of that horrible experience.  So we then went to Kelly's & purchased a stove/oven that they had in stock. After my experience at Lowe's, I don't see myself ever going back there or recommending it to friends & family. However, I feel the owners of the store should know of this experience so it can be fixed for future customers. I don't want them to have to go through that kind of terrible service also. Perhaps the worst customer support I have experienced. I tried for about 30 minutes on the phone to order a door. I was able to leave a message with customer support to have the door dept call me back. After waiting for 2.5 hours I attempted to call them back and speak with someone. This next process tooka half and hour. I actually spoke to customer service twice. The second time they said they were transferring me to the manager of the dept. We went in to price shop for a new dishwasher. Walking around finally someone approached us if we needed anything after about 15 minutes in the department. He was great with us helping us. We picked the one we wanted, due to no inventory we were told it would be in about 3 weeks and we would would get a call to let us know when it was in. About four and a half weeks later we had not heard anything so we called. They informed us that it was going to be another four weeks. We were disappointed that we had to call and find this out. We chose to just cancel the order because the fact that we had to make the first call to find this out. If they would have called and let us know that it was going to be longer wait our decision to cancel the order may have been different. We understand supply issues but a phone call about the delay would have went a long way. read more

Eugene, Oregon: We are renovating our new-to-us home. Zachary Burr (in Millworks) has gone above and beyond with exemplary customer service on multiple occasions. Our home is actually closer to the Albany location however those employees are more interested in their handy-dandy handheld computers to actually answer my questions or send me to the correct department. Albany is frequently out of stock or the smaller store limitations limit the selection. It's simply worth the extra 10 minutes to the Eugene location. We have been served by 2 other Millworks employees and a Manager with respect & urgency to get the job done. Not really an issue with this store but the website and experience. I will never order anything from Lowes ever again. Customer service is very hard to find and reach. Items being shipped from all over the country taking over 2 weeks to even process and ship some items that I was supposed to have in 7-10 days. The tracking information is either inaccurate or nonexistent. The website is a chore to use. Searching specific items is difficult and sometimes impossible. You have to scroll through a huge list to find things because the filters and sorting features don't work properly. I was trying to be good and not go in to a store. That was a mistake. I'm still waiting on things I ordered 2 weeks ago. I've since used home depot and ebay with more luck and reasonable shipping times. The whole experience has put me off on the lowes brand, I will no longer do business with them at all. read more

Customer service is horrendous. Don't buy craftsman or kobalt. The lowes brand, it's a pain in the ass trying to get support for it. I tried to get warranty service on my kobalt power tools, thinking lowes would take care of it. They told me I needed to call the hotline and get a ticket number. I tried calling them right there and could not get a single person on the line. I then told lowes to call them, they couldn't even find anyone to talk too. Finally they let me exchange my product. Lowes just did our roof using a local contractor (David Bloudek / Handshake Roofing). They did awesome work and took only a day and a half to do it. Lucas was the rep from lowes that did the estimate and is very experienced and helpful. Doesn't put on a sales pitch. Doesn't sell you what you don't need. Very honest. Their estimate was only $100 higher than two others we got and those didn't come with the better shingles we got. We're very happy with the whole job. They cleaned up and it looked nicer than when they stared lol. I'll add pics. Carpet is a different story. We normally do all our work ourself but we hired lowes for carpet as they had a free installation sale and the measurements were way off and they wouldn't fix it. We paid $75 extra and the product cross took weeks. The whole carpet install has been a mess. We were over charged twice and I think their accountant will have fun trying to figure out why what they quoted vs what we paid doesn't match up. We were so tired after that we gave in and paid the amount on her register even though the slip from the back was lower. We won't ever do flooring install there again. No one knew how to fix it. Everything else has been good. Prices and customer service. They take reruns even up to a year later and just use our credit card to find the order if we've lost the receipt. If I could split it up I'd give lowes 5 stars for our roof and 2 for the carpet and 4 for the store. read more

You'd be better off going to Jerry's or Home Depot. The staffing here is very limited and wait times to get assistance are long.

I had the most amazing service in the garden area and flooring. Great to see employees really care about the products and be so knowledgeable. The store is clean and very organized too. I went to competition and a few other stores. No one had fireplace grates either. Not only did they have grates. They had every fireplace item I could want. read more

If they say they have appliance in stock, I would ask a few more questions, how "in stock" is it. Is it in the store? Or is it on a truck, you think? I find myself moving into a house with no refrigerator, if I had known it wasn't really in stock, I would have gone somewhere else to buy. These things happen, but they don't have anything helpful to say, and I get it, I just let it go, it's not the stores fault, but just for the future person buying from Lowe's, ask more questions. read more

The staff isn't very friendly. There was one employee who was actually nice and helpful. They followed me and my fiancé around like we were trying to take something ? I figure it's my fiancé being a person of color and having a lot of tattoos but they treated us like criminals. Even the cashier was quiet and cold to us. Leaving one star because I can't leave zero. GO ANYWHERE ELSE OR GO WITHOUT. Had a horrible experience with washer dryer purchase/delivery. First one delivered was the wrong model and they damaged the floor during install. After it stopped working (defective machine) they said they could not replace for two weeks. Next delivery the delivery team left five minutes after arriving, and left false information about their departure time on the 'failed delivery' notice. The next delivery also failed because it was the incorrect machine AGAIN. The NEXT delivery failed because the washer broke as it was being pulled off the machine. On the FIFTH attempt we were able to receive the correct washer. And finally will be saying goodbye to this Lowe's forever. Prior to writing this review I asked for a small refund to alleviate the time away from work and awful customer service after purchasing over $1600 of appliances; they agreed and never delivered - SHOCKER. I purchased a roof for my home from them they provided the contractor and all, well the original contractor never showed so they subcontracted to another company who messed up so bad that upon installation all warranty were voided. So they sent a second contractor to repair, well it looks better how ever I still have vents turned up to catch water my sun tunnels are still filled with roofing material, today I went and mowed my lawn after the first couple sunny days we had after a huge wind and rain storm needless to say a pice of the my roofing flashing is sitting in my back yard. Let's get to the blocked bathroom vents that trapped moisture in my bathroom which left the paint bubbling after 9 months of arguing. They won't fix the issue. I paid 12k for this crap job and a year off fighting now. I would not recommend lowes services for any job its a safe bet the references they provided were all in house and clearly lies. The was done by untrained amatures. Nail through flashing into nothing. Shingle end overlapping within 3 inches all over the roof with instead of the production requirements of 5 1/8 I had to finish clean up in the yard cardboard rolls and shingle wrapping left laying ever where and 3 flat tires due to the nails left everywhere not to mention tossing loose nails on the roof of my garage. I'd definitely never recommend instalation services to anyone . read more
