Worst customer service I've ever received. Refused to return damaged goods. Had to contact corporate to force them to do the right thing. What a hassle. read more

I have not had a good experience with this store in the flooring department. As a matter of fact I drive to the Bypass location to do most of my shopping. BUT Jim in painting is FABULOUS here. He went out of his way this morning with so much information and assistance regarding my paint project. He offered suggestions before any were even requested. When I asked about a particular product he walked me to it. Most employees just point in a direction I will definitely be back to see Jim in painting. read more

Lowe's at 3515 Clemson Boulevard, Anderson, SC 29621 No more in-store credit without a receipt at Lowe's. This review is to inform the public of a change in policy at Lowe's and to praise a store manager who will take the time to understand his customers' needs. I purchased with cash an off-brand kitchen faucet (first mistake) at Lowe's a few days ago and I could not find my receipt. The old kitchen faucet is 1/2 pipe vs the 3/8 compression fittings of the new faucets. "Be forewarned". After sending my wife back to Lowe's to purchase an inline straight shut off valve adaptor (which does not exist) She came home with 1/2 dozen connectors from salespeople who did not know what they were talking about. I had to crawl out from under the sink and go to Lowe's myself. So, I packed up the new off-brand new kitchen faucet and went to Lowe's. This is when I found out that in-store credit was no longer available. What? This makes no sense, it's obviously a Lowe's product but there are no shut off valves to adapt to this issue. I asked to speak to the store manager. Eric, the store manager, was awesome. He quickly resolved my issues with professionalism, empathy, and knowledge. I still don't agree with Lowe's new policy of not offering in-store credit for a Lowe's product because of a lost receipt, Lowe's has the product, and the credit is only good at Lowe's. Where is the loss for Lowe's? Thanks' Eric for taking the time to listen to your customer. read more

My experience with Lowes today proved why 2-star ratings on Yelp should be heeded as a true consumer warning. I live in an area affected by Hurricane Helene. I went online and selected Lowes in Anderson, SC, as my nearest store and ordered a Generac 26K & Auto switch on Oct. 9. The relatively quick delivery time Lowes promised at the time they hit by credit card helped drive my decision. Unfortunately, my delivery date has slowly been extended to over two months from now. I'll barely get it before Christmas, assuming no further delay. This is not an availability problem. If you go online today and put the same bundle in your basket Lowe's will offer delivery to your home for $700 less. Perhaps I paid $700 more due to being right after Helene, but I don't care. I just want the Generator promised, when promised, at the price promised. I ATTEMPTED TO CANCEL MY ORDER, and they REFUSED even though they still cannot guarantee when it will be delivered. Stay away from these guys if you're not ready for the abuse. read more

Buyers beware if you order a grill online they will NOT assemble it!! Even though they offer free assembly!! I went to pick mine up this morning at 8 am I was told it was still being assembled (it was ordered at 11:46 am yesterday). I get a notification this afternoon that it was ready for pick up. It was Still in the box!! guy that brought it out to us looked at us like "you want it or not.?" Basically it took them a day and a half to get it to the front of the store for pick up!! Thank goodness for Amazon prime I am so done with this store!! I would give them zero stars if I could. read more

I have always been a fan of Lowe's over Home Depot because I have always liked the way the store is laid out. Home Depot always has a bunch of boxes in the aisles along the back of the store, making it hard to get around. Lately, though, Lowe's is dropping the ball. The last 5 or 6 times I have been in there, there has been one, or even no, registers open. They are pushing people to use the self checkouts. I am not a big fan of self checkout, but, even if I was, it would be difficult to check out very many items. The times I have been there were mostly busy times, so I still had to wait in line at the self checkouts. The help in the store has been great, no problem there. I just wish that the management would speak to the customers about their preferences and issues and do something about this. I have spoken with friends who have the same issue with them. I hope they fix this soon. Thanks. read more

Buy from a local vendor instead. Shop with a family owned lumber company. It's so frustrating to order products and then wait the two days that they promise and then four days or six days and then it turns into a month, two months, then 90 days before they get the actual product that you paid full price for. There is not enough staff to assist you and it is so frustrating. We have renovated an entire home and tried to purchase everything from Lowe's that we could but most of the items we had to cancel because we couldn't get them in time for our contractor to install them. Shopping with Lowe's is a complete waste of time. We would rather give our money to a local hardware store that gives us personal service and knows us by name. Their customer service is horrible I am very disappointed and will not use them again. read more

My issue with this store is not in regards to the products they carry so much as it is their customer service (or more accurately, lack thereof). I wish I could say this was the only time this has happened at Lowe's, but it's not- you see, last week I was shopping for some Dremel bits and a pair of safety glasses. For starters, almost every employee I saw was tied up in some kind of conversation among themselves. I'm not saying it's a bad thing to have good relationships with your coworkers, but no one even bothered to ask me if I needed help finding anything in their massive warehouse of a store. Had I not known where to find the Dremel accessories, I have no doubt that I would have aimlessly wandered for at least 30 minutes before an employee bothered to even acknowledge my presence. This behavior continued all the way to the register, where it was even worse. My cashier was an older lady that seemed more preoccupied with happenings in her coworker's life than she did with ringing up my purchase and, you know, making sure I didn't just walk out of the store with unpaid merchandise. She stopped her bantering only long enough to ask if I had a "My Lowe's" card and tell me the total. In conclusion, Home Depot will be getting my business in the future. read more

I placed an order for a washing machine back in April and they have it at the Anderson location in stock and they have changed my delivery date over 28 times. I've spoken with all different managers and they have each promised me they have the washing machine and it will be delivered on the date of the email but then we get another email with our delivery date being pushed back. We try calling up to that location and we can not get any help. We paid for the washing machine back in April $1000 and still no washing machine. I will never order from Lowe's again. They are the worse with their delivery service. I'm so upset and dissatisfied with the service Lowe's provides. read more

You get a mixed bag when you shop at this Lowe's. Some team members will go out of their way to check on you and make sure you don't have any questions, and some team members will simply go out of their way. For the most part, I have found the folks at this store to be available when I needed them, and knowledgeable about the products they sell. You won't find any high school teens working here...this is an older, more experienced workforce, and it shows. I would recommend this Lowe's over the Home Depot which is not even a stone's throw away from it. A few years back, I would have a diffferent recommendation, but the Home Depot dropped the ball, and Lowe's got better. So for now...Lowe's knows. read more

Buyer beware when selecting the Anderson, SC Lowes for cabinets, countertop and installation. We spent 3 hours with Ms. Wilcox selecting and designing the layout for the kitchen. WE HAVE BEEN WAITING 9 weeks and still no progress has been made on when the installer is coming to put the cabinets and countertop in. Ms. Wilcox blames the installer and the installer blames her. No one knows what they are doing. Go somewhere else - even another Lowes location. read more

I was checking out at Lowes today and due to where I parked, I went to the contractors check out. If I had realized that Cathy was there (I have had 2 other instances with her) I would have went to the normal checkout. In my opinion her customer service skills are poor. While checking out, her store phone rang and we stood there for several minutes while she was trying to figure out if an employee was working or not to get a message to them. We finally walked out leaving our items on the counter. She followed us outside and said she was sorry and then went on to explain why she was justified to do what she did as if I had no cause to be upset. I told her that in my opinion she should not ignore customers in the middle of a transaction to help someone on the phone. Sometimes it is not what you say but how you say it. So we went to Home Depot. read more

My Lowes Vinyl Fence Install Experience :0( Though I wrote into Lowes customer service over 72 hours ago and 20 days ago initially I have not yet heard any satisfactory response when we had a vinyl fence install with them. Unfortunately when it seemed as when it could not get any more difficult it did. What I hoped would be a GREAT new $5500 fence experience has become MOST painful. My install was quoted as taking two days and they say it was completed 23 days later (have not had chance to review work as a second home). Our install started off with no one showing up at scheduled time/day. It was only after we called did we get any response. The first day the installers arrived they were instructed to install fence starting in the middle of the yard rather than at the house (who does that??) If I had not been there to help with some of the installation issues my gate would have been eight inches smaller, damaged caps would have been used, gates would have been installed without metal inserts which were paid for but not delivered in initial order & several other issues. We asked our Lowes rep & contractor wanted to box in the tree at 90 degree angles and they ordered new posts and panels. The posts arrived with the installer while only one of the three panel kits did (so of course they ran out). Then the installer began to angle the install rather than at ninety degree angles and began to cut holes in posts to make them 90 degree posts when additional 90 degree posts were purchased for this very purpose. After got installers back on track then they used one the post they bored an additional hole in as a line post and used damaged pickets in the install. That was all in the same day ;0( As of yet have not heard back any reason for the deficiencies noted although have contacted Lowes rep, Lowes customer service & Lowes contractor regarding any of the above or the amount of credit due as a result of above and return of unused supplies. I would rate the Installation Process & Follow Up a Zero read more

This store is decent and the employees are pretty good about asking if you need help with anything. In the last few years, Corporate Lowe's changed their incentives for special order sales. Now there is no commission for the salesman so they have no motivation to sell special orders or even know how to sell special orders. The people who had worked there forever and are very knowledgeable have moved on. What they have now is mostly just kids who don't know the first thing. If you need to order something, you will need to know EXACTLY what you want. You'll also need to refuse to leave until they help you. Otherwise, every employee will say they don't know how or aren't allowed to help you and you will be up the creek without a paddle. Almost everything they, or any Lowe's, sell is made in China. As such, expect extremely poor quality. The screws packaged with almost anything (blinds, ceiling fans, etc) will be only slightly harder than an undercooked french fry. You may consider purchasing a separate pack of screws to avoid the frustration. Parts will only occasionally fit up correctly, the finishes will fade or flake off, and the lifespan of almost anything will be less than half what it should be. I could go on, but I think most people already know this is what our country has come to. read more

Every time I've been in here, it's been terrible. There are always many more people than home depot - mostly because most of them wander around looking for the rare employee that isn't avoiding customers. Many employees don't know where things are, and will say "sorry, don't know" and walk off rather than attempt to help. Yesterday I walked in for a couple hose connections (had to search since no one was around to help), and the single register that was open had a line backed up halfway to the back of the store. The management knows how terrible the job they're doing is, but they just don't care. The selection may be great, but customer service gets an F. read more

Saturday, April 29, 2017 was not a good day for Lowe's of Anderson's customer service. After waiting 30 min for someone to come with a fork lift to load 50 bags of river rocks, my husband starting loading them by himself. When the Assistant Manager, Albert come out and I told him we needed help and my husband shouldn't be loading them because of his surgery, he smarted off with, "well then, don't be doing it". i never write reviews, and if I do complain, it's normally in a nice way and I never expect anything in return. Today, I felt like telling them, after it was all finally loaded hand by hand, that they could now unload it because I had changed my mind. Instead, I write this review and just forget about it. :-( read more
