Fantastic Service, Highly Recommend!…read more Cruz and Jon were amazing! They fixed my hot tub leak and opened my pool in one afternoon. As new pool owners, they even took the time to teach us the basics of operation and maintenance. Super friendly, on time, and efficient. Will definitely use them again and recommend to anyone looking for pool and spa services! Thanks again, guys!

*READ THIS BEFORE YOU HIRE SCAMMER Pools & Spa -- My Experience*…read more I am writing this review because I do not want another family to go through what we have gone through. I paid $2,377.93 upfront through Zelle for a salt tank installation. The only payment methods accepted were Zelle and Venmo, which I now consider a major red flag. There was no formal contract provided, and after paying, the installation never happened. The excuses started immediately: rescheduling, weather issues, family emergencies, lack of crew availability -- one reason after another. Weeks turned into months, and the work still was never completed. When I finally cancelled the job, getting my money back became another battle. I received a partial refund of $1,000, but as of ******8/7/2026, I am still owed $1,377.93** from Invoice #5389. I have spent months trying to communicate and recover the remaining balance. The only person available to contact is Genaro Cruz. When communication stops, there is no customer service department, no office, and no one else to resolve the issue. After looking deeper, I wish I had done more research beforehand. Things that raised concerns for me: * No clear business address listed * No owner information readily available * No license information provided * Payment requested through methods that offer little protection to customers I have also seen other recent reviews describing similar experiences involving deposits being taken, work not being completed, poor communication, and refund issues. Please do your own research before hiring any company and pay attention to patterns. This was not extra money sitting around. This was money from my family, our savings, and our summer plans. Having to chase someone for money owed after a service was never completed has been incredibly disgusting excuse of a person. My advice: **Do not pay upfront through Zelle or Venmo. Get a written contract. Verify licensing and business information. Protect yourself or you will get ROBBED

We started using Arvidson's for our pool last year. We do the maintenance, so we use them mainly…read morefor testing water and buying needed chemicals. We've gone to a few other pool stores over the years. I found that Arvidson's is the best at understanding what pools need for the right balance, and then following up to ensure everything turned out okay. I went there two days ago, and I had a high level of ammonia in the pool. I have no idea how that would have happened. Rather than sell me an expensive round of chemicals, they told me to drain 1/3 of the water out of the pool and refill it. They said that would mean I would need less to balance the water. When I returned today, the Ammonia levels were low enough that I didn't need to do anything other than add (a lot) of chlorine. More than anything, I trust their judgment in chemically treating pools.

I bought my above-ground pool from Arvidsons about 20--yes, 20--years ago. I have continued to…read morehave it serviced by them all this time. We buy our chemicals from them, have the water tested for free by them, have the pool opened and closed by them. When we needed any kind of new equipment, I have entrusted the knowledge and service provided by their Service Department. I have especially enjoyed working with Peter, ZZ and Sheryl. Recently, I ordered the wrong service and Sheryl made it right without blaming me or overcharging me to get it fixed. I trusted them to deliver and install a pool beloved by my children and now my grandchildren. Thank you.

Stay far away! They will leave your pool unfinished and in complete disrepair. I contracted Daniel…read moreKamide from Dana pools on June 11th, 2020, to build a pool in Lake Forest. The pool was supposed to be finished by years end 2020 and it's still unfinished in November 2021. I have continued to make payments during 2021 in hopes the pool will be finished. I paid an additional 40k due to price increases and he once again promised it would be completed before winter 2021. Now material costs have risen once again. Daniel Kamide from Dana Pools is asking for even more money to finish the project that was supposed to be completed in 2020. His new projected completion date is mid 2022. Waiting another winter for them to finish the pool will lead to further damage, possible wall collapse and just a complete waste of time money. The pool has cracks all over which they tried to repair saying a pool liner would solve the issue. I hired another pool company to inspect, and they were shocked to see this type of damage on a new install. They said a pool liner would only last a little while before further cracks appear and cause major issues. The last straw was after the installation of the pumps and equipment. I was notified that Daniel Kamide returned after installing the pumps and started to disconnect everything. He attempted to steal the pumps and equipment he installed a few days earlier. We immediately contacted the Lake Forest police department and luckily, they arrived just before he left. We have begun to peruse legal action against Dana Pools and hope no one else falls for their terrible work and shady practices

Through my own personal experience the owner of this company is anything but professional and is currently being sued. Please read my complaint in BBB to fully understand the grief caused by Danna Pools and the owner, Dan Kamide. Well over 100 feet of structural cracks in a pool that was less than 1 year old. Design, engineer, labor and materials all provided by owner and his company but somehow, without any remorse he believes it not to be his problem. RUN-RUN-RUN AWAY!!!!! Just like Danna Pools and Dan Kamide have done to me and other customers.
