This is a review about Leslie's in-store experience and not about their home service We continue to use Leslie's for purchases for our pool and for minor service work. Leslie's has always providing free water test services, then presenting a plan for how to balance your water. Of course, they sell the chemicals needed. It's convenient. Until last year, Leslie's manually tested the water with test tubes and droppers. This year, they upgraded to a computerized testing system. It is more accurate, and provides a print-out when done, listing the chemicals needed along with very clear instructions on how to execute the plan. Over the years, we've used Leslie's water testing service, their store to purchase supplies, and their service work to repair the pool equipment, and to replace our pump. filter, heater, chlorinator, various pieces of piping, and more. Note they do not install vinyl liners. Leslie's is a solid choice for pool maintenance and repair services. read more

I was a first time pool owner and my pool's chemistry was way off. The first store I went only made things worse. Leslie's told me how to fix the problem and taught me how to properly maintain my pool. I don't know if I will use them for all my pool needs but I know I can count on their help. read more

Do not order from this company this is the worst customer service I have ever experienced when you order an item and they tell you when it's going to be shipped the day you are supposed to receive it you will receive an email stating due to the pandemic they have no idea when they're going to be able to ship out your item then when you try to get a refund they will give you the runaround and say they can't get a response from their warehouse and as of now only a request to cancel your order they will not refund your money they will make you sit on hold and they're rude do not buy from here read more

The one on Dundee always has someone in the know about water testing and balancing. Free testing of water samples and then from your pool gallon size they tell you what you need. A little pricey but well stocked. read more

I had Leslie's replace a pool heater with a brand new one (over $3k) last Spring '21. By end of summer the heater was leaking gas and water. It took over a month to get someone scheduled to even look at the heater. When they finally came out, I was told the warranty would only cover costs to fix the faulty components (even though the whole thing is rusting out) and I would need to reschedule service in the spring to get it fixed. I spent over $3k on a heater that's leaking gas and water within 6 months of being installed and is now rusting out. Careful when buying anything from this company. read more

I have been coming here for seven years for pool chemicals and equipment repair. Greg (and now Diana) have done periodic maintenance and repair for my pool cleaner and the repairs are always done at a very good price, the repairs are reliable, and they are always done quickly. Last Friday afternoon I dropped off my broken pool cleaner and Diana told me it would be a day or so before she'd be able to get to it. Saturday at around 2pm she called, detailed the repairs needed, and told me the price (which was reasonable). I gave approval for the work and she said she would be in early on Sunday to complete the work by 11. I called at 10:30 to find out the status and she told me that it was completed. I arrived a short while later, she reiterated the work she did and the price matched what she quoted. I got it home, put it in the pool immediately and it is working great! read more

If it was possible to give it zero, I would. DO NOT Buy any any pool equipment from Leslies. Bought a Jacuzzi pool pump. It broke twice in 4 years. It took 8 weeks to get the parts and now 8 weeks for someone to come out and fix it. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do not buy anything from them. They need to close up. After the tech comes out, you need to keep calling the store to see if the part is in. Most days no one answers, when they do, it is a young man who doesn't know how to look anything up and you need to call back and talk to the manager. Who doesn't work everyday. Finally after 8 weeks, the pump is in, now it is 9/30/21, they tell me 11/22/21 to come out and fix it. just the very very worse I have ever dealt with. Wish I could rate this a negative 5. I went here on Thursday at 2pm with my mom looking for chlorine. This kid working seemed really irritated to have to help a customer and did not say more than 5 words to us. We left because we felt so unwelcome. Don't go here unless they get new staff with new attitudes. Trash place with trashy miserable employees. read more

I was surprised how well stocked this store was. I enjoyed browsing the promotional/seasonal items on sale. I'm a first year pool owner and feel absolutely lost looking at pool chemicals. The staff was helpful and didn't make me feel out of place. When I walked in, I told them what I wanted to purchase and instead I just give me the item they asked a few more questions and helped me discover that wasn't what I needed. Then, suggested I not buy the product but use what I already had to address the water levels. Even though it was only my first time in the store and I bought nothing they put me in their mailing list. I walked out feeling well informed. I went in this morning, around 11 am, to get my pool water tested. I forget who was working--her name is completely escaping me--but wow was she a rockstar!!! They only have one person on staff (I'm assuming to maintain social distancing) and she was so pleasant, so great at multitasking (she was answering phones, testing water, answering other people's questions...with no mistakes and in a very timely manner!!). She was pleasant the ENTIRE time. She was professional and so on top of everything! I really wish I remembered her name because she def deserves a shout out! read more

I cannot say I have ever had the same experience that the other yelpers have had. I have been about half a dozen times and I find that the staff is indeed very polite and very helpful with basic items (purchasing supplies in stock). My issue with this store is getting assistance with things beyond what is in stock. I have a hot tub that is a few years old and it is starting to need maintenance. I went in there to order some new hot tub jets. The manager (her name escapes me) said she did not have them in stock but absolutely took the time to decide which jets I needed, looked them up in the catalog, and was very helpful (so far so good), but at the time could not give me a price. She took my information but never called back with any pricing. I went back into the store a second time. Spoke to the same manager, she apologized and said "I was just getting ready to call you". However she took my information again and assured me I would get a call the next day. Two weeks later still no call back. At this point I had the information I needed to just order the parts online and that's what i did. Sorry you lose my business if you cannot call me back with any pricing or ordering information. A few weeks ago the pump in the hot tub started to make quite a bit of noise. After some research and looking at the pump, there are parts that needed to be ordered. Armed with the following info I went into the store (ON A MONDAY): 1. pump model 2. voltage 3. exact parts i needed 4. photos of the pump The older gentlemen behind the service counter would not even flip open a catalog until I brought the entire pump into the store......I drive home, pick up the pump pieces, bring it back to the store. The older gentleman writes down all of the info on a tag attached to the pump and says "I don't look at any of the pumps our manager does". "She will probably not call you tonight but will call you tomorrow". Friday rolls around (no contact) so I just go into the store to check. The manager is there and the first words out of her mouth when she finds out who I am is "I was just getting ready to call you" (this old story again). She proceeds to tell me that they do not do any work on bearings I would need to have that addressed. I was starting to get pissed because after 5 days you couldn't call or follow up in any meaningful way to tell me you are not going to touch it? I have some mechanical ability so I just asked her to give me a price on the parts. She started asking all of the information about the pump. It was all attached on a tag the size of Rhode Island on the pump sitting in front of her. So in short for the third time I was never followed up with, I never received any services, what information she did give me was 100% incorrect. I can't say I will ever give them another chance. Home Depot next store sells chlorine, bromine as well as most of the other shit anyone would need for the hot tub. I ended up making a 5 minute phone call to the guys at hottubpartsofamerica.com, watched their fantastic youtube videos (Spa Guy) and fixed the pump myself in about 45 minutes. read more

On 8/15 @ 5:50. A store worker recommended that I buy some pH up and some pH down. We did not use it this summer because the water did not need it. I tried to return it with receipt 5 1/2 weeks later and they would not even give me a store credit so I would be stuck with the chemicals. I gave it back to them and told them to sell it to someone. You lost a customer! I guess she expected me to dump the chemicals in the garbage or something. But I do the responsible thing and return it. They should have done the responsible thing and giving me a store credit. Shame shame shame... read more
