I was in the area for only one day during a move from Northern Colorado to North Carolina and was in bad need of a gel pedicure and dip manicure after weeks of packing boxes. The shop was very close to my hotel and I called in to see if they were able to take me as a walk-in. From the moment I walked in, I felt such a welcoming, friendly vibe. All the clients were interacting with their techs, lots of laughter. The salon was very busy..yet my pedicure done by Jessica and my ombré dip manicure done by Monica were exceptional. The attention to detail by both techs was above and beyond any expectation. I had a broken toe due to a moving accident and Jessica was very conscientious of my injury. I initially liked the quality in the beginning but the tech I went to was often gone. I often had nails pop off or pop up really quick. I also had to wait often when I would arrive on time for my appointments. The pricing was inconsistent. They moved my appointments about 3 times, I had to move one after being understanding about all the times I changed for them with no problem and misunderstood the time I was told over the phone and the tech charged me $10 more because of it but didn't tell me, my bill was just higher. If you're looking for a relaxing spa type experience this is not it. Lots of shop gossip across the salon about people in town, they seem to share quite a bit about what people share with them in their visits. Not high quality, not relaxing, not consistent. Found a new place that is clean, relaxing, fun and top quality. read more

Just leaving another review because this Salon is will always be my favorite place. My mom and I have been coming here for 6 or 7 years now, and I refuse to leave! Everybody in this salon is amazing at what they do! I have always seen Jessica 1 or Tiffany but I finally got my nails done for the 2nd time this year (it's been a hard year) and I went and saw Jessica 2 for a pedicure with gel polish and then she was telling me about her new nails she is doing which is Gel X! I was a little hesitant but deep down I've always wanted to get my nails done by her as I love her work! She doesn't do acrylics but this new gel X is amazing! Just as strong as acrylics but healthier for your nails. Everyone in this salon is always so kind and loving! They are always so kind to me and my mom! My mom has a neuropathy in her legs and Jessica 1 takes such good care of my mom and her feet and is always gentle since my mom is always in pain! She pays close attention to details but still gets me in and out with cute designs in about 45 minutes. Even better, the gel polish hasn't ever lifted, even when I've pushed out my appointment 3 weeks! Lotus is super clean and inviting with a relaxing atmosphere. I used to come here and get great nails but the last couple times have been awful!! Especially my last set!! Within 24 hours 5 nails had "surface" cracks but within 48 hours I had 3 completely crack causing painful damage and bleeding to the point I can't even go and get them fixed due to the excessive injuries!! How the heck do so many nails break with significant damage by grabbing something out of my purse?!?! Too thin, poor product and skill lacking Technitians!!! Stay away! Please take this seriously!! This was the first time I went there. The lady that was the acting manager that day was very rude to the employees. The manager was yelling at the employees.The pedicure that I got was horrible. When she was done she just left me in the chair, and proceed to cleaned other pedi chair basins and then proceeded to start another customer. Long story short DO NOT GET MANDY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Normally I really love this place and the people there. but the last two times I've gotten Mandy. both times she had messed up my nails. they fall off in a week and are not what I wanted. Two of my toes got really infected and super painful. my middle finger was also infected. my mom also went there and got Mandy resulting her nails and toes ruined. She was also very rude when dealing with me and my younger sister. we were talking about going back to school and she kept acting annoyed and upset if we could continue. she also smudged my nail polish and I asked her to fix it. she not only was annoyed at the request, Her response to me saying we only did 2 coats and not one she replied with "whatever" and rolled her eyes. I will admit I have sensitive skin but she bruised my feet in the pedicure and was very rough. I normally never complain and this is my first yelp review but I'm so genuinely upset. After this experience I will not be back and it's actually so sad. i really did love this place I've been here since I was 5. (only 15 but) **just adding I was not rude at any point. i tipped well was respectful didn't even ask her to fix my other two nails** and please don't feel bad saying you don't want her it's better then getting infected toes lol!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

Apparently one of "the best" nail techs did my powder dip and hardly spoke to me, didn't even ask my name, my thumb and middle finger on both hands were transparent at the ends and had no color/powder. Less than 4 days my middle and ring finger on both hands were chipped. Low quality and even worse customer service. Will never go again. Not at all worth the money. Very crowded and no one gives a shit about your experience. All they want is money and they definitely don't care about quality. Perfect example of why cottonwood keeps the cottonhood nickname. I visited today on a whim. I usually went to a place closer to home, but i had a poor experience the last time i went. I came into Lotus and was greeted immediately. I didn't have an appointment so i asked if that was ok. They said yes and they'd do their best to get me taken care of ASAP. I did a pedi and rebase. I told them i had somewhere to be at 3 so i needed to be done by then. They took extra measures to make sure they got me taken care of in time to leave. My nails turned out perfect. HORRIBLE PLACE! Got gel pedi & mani before vacation; 06-01. Paid 95!!!!! By 06-11 most toes peeled and most nails peeled. The mani was a French tip, so everywhere there was nail polish peeled. The clear area of the gel didn't peel but the white tip did. Called salon, they said it is obviously something I'm doing. I was visiting my brother at Ohio. Their gel pedi/mani CANNOT TAKE A RELAXED VISIT TO OHIO TO SEE FAMILY. Never again will I step foot in this place. Waste of hard earned money. read more

I'm not typically one to post a review specifically not a negative one but for how I was mistreated in accordance with what results I got I felt it was important to share... I went in for a rebase for my nails that were already a short coffin shape and had to convince the tech she was capable of doing it. After continuously asking her to go shorter in the politest way possible, she to no surprise finally got my desired shape. She then stated she would have to charge me an extra $3 dollars for the shape I already had and I then again had to convince her that wasn't fair due to me already having that shape previously. Next she put the thickest amount of powder I have ever seen on anyone's nails and did not smooth out the the bottom so it already has a jagged and lifted look. She also forgot to put a finishing coat on one of my nails. Same tech for my pedicure and she left a ton of dead skin on my feet I could have gotten off myself but paid to treat myself to have it done by a professional. At this point I was tired of asking a professional to correct in my opinion extremely obvious mistakes so I just said screw it and let her finish and got out of there as soon as I could. My mother also felt rushed out of her pedicure and wasn't happy with the paint results either (do mind we consciously made an appointment). This was my second experience at the salon the first was horrible too. I thought 2 years would have made a difference, guess not. Safe to say I won't be returning. read more
