i'm feeling the early heat, that means i need a sweet treat!!!! visiting a friend in danville, so we walked on over, given it is well over 80° today :3 good ice cream, cute small storefront, very cute location. i chose the fresh mint chocolate chip, and my friend got the banana brulee! the ice cream was soooo good and such a good consistency. love to see it. as an avid mint choco gal, i can highly recommend theirs. such fresh mint, so refreshing after walking around in the heat. would totally visit again!!! read more

I can see the hyper around Lottie's Creamery. Located in a quaint block in Danville, it makes for a perfect family outing. Their ice cream is definitely creamy! I love how they rotate flavors and have many of their flavors available in pints for purchase. I got the mini double scoop of dark chocolate (vegan) and vanilla toffee - both were absolutely divine. The mini double scoop felt more like a regular double scoop! Not only is their ice cream delicious, the price point for the quality is great. Can't wait to stock up on pints from here now! read more

We were visiting downtown Danville from SJ and after a great lunch at Danville Brewery, we walked over to Lottie's for ice cream. My kid was so excited to get a treat but we were deeply disappointed at the unfriendly service. There were two grown adults, a female and male. There were zero customers when we walked in and the man didn't even greet us. When we asked if they did testers, he rudely said yes. We all felt like our presence was an inconvenience and this is not the vibe for an ice cream shop. It's a shame because their ice cream is pretty great, you can taste the small batch quality. There is a chocolate shop just a few doors down and although their ice cream isn't as great, I refuse to go where we are not welcome. read more

Loved the unique flavors and kind staff. Salted almond toffee and vanilla with marshmallow is my favorite. If you feel confused go with the standard dark chocolate flavour which tastes flavourful. As we head into summer break, this is going to be my go-to ice cream place. read more

First time visiting Danville and exploring all the fun within. Found this cute little place through yelp and tried out a few goodies. I also got to sample some of their ice cream flavors. The toasted almond was their best! Ended up getting their toasted marshmallow hot cocoa (they also had an affogato option), and it did not disappoint. So warm and cozy in a cup. I'm always curious about the different ways hot chocolate is made and I'm glad I got to try theirs. Inside they were very friendly about allowing you to sample their hot cocoa, in addition to their ice cream flavors. Highly recommend if you're looking for a cute little place to hang with your friends, and they also have a bench outside to sit. read more

We don't like the Lottie's Creamery Walnut Creek location, but since we were in town this weekend I wanted to try out the Danville locale. I walked in and ended up getting a single scoop of the Honey Lavender. The flavor was surprisingly quite good (similar to Bi-Rite's) and the service was prompt and helpful. This space was much larger and more comfortable than the Walnut Creek location and they had quite a bit of outside seating. All that being said, I was prepared to give them a full five stars until I found a hair towards the bottom of my ice cream. Yikes. So unfortunately that made a second cup of ice cream I've had to toss for Lotties. At the end of the day, this brand clearly does not work for us, so we wont be trying them again. read more

After dinner treat! It was right across the street of the katsu place we went to and had no long lines. They offer a variety of flavors that you can see behind the servers and you can sample them all as well. We got the strawberry sorbet and the jasmine milk tea cookie scoops. This is a very solid ice cream shop, we always love stopping when we are in the area. There's always a great selection of flavors. The shop is in the heart of the downtown Danville area. I always love the fruity flavors and the savory chocolate and fruit flavors. There's also great flavors for non-dairy ice cream flavors as well. The staff aren't always nice and accommodating. There usually a long line, but it's definitely worth it. read more

Literally my favorite, go to ice cream place in town. So much so that I came back not once but TWICE in a week. It didn't matter that it just rained in the morning or that I hadn't had lunch yet. It was 1 pm, they just opened and I was waiting for my to go order across the street, why not? So sad I didn't know Honeycomb (or any flavor for that matter) was a seasonal thing- I thought all the flavors were permanent so when I came to get my fav flavor ever they didn't have it. This is supposed to be a mini double scoop of Vanilla Salted Toffee Ice Cream. I rated the flavor and taste 5 stars and the portion size and texture 1 star, so the overall rating is 3 stars. The scoop size depends on who's scooping the ice cream. I thought the guy tonight gave me a mini scoop and the ice cream was really soft and dripping more than usual. One of my favorite ice cream places. I have a lot of food allergies and it is very difficult to find a sweet treat place that I can eat at. All of their sorbets have been great but my favorite is their vegan dark chocolate. I am not a fan of coconut milk based ice cream but it does not have a coconut taste at all. Tastes like real ice cream and even my friends who aren't dairy free agree. Very happy that's it's a year around flavor! I love that if you let them know of any allergies, they will use separate utensils and their flavor board is labeled with allergy stickers. read more

I've been here nice and the staff are super sweet and helpful with recommendations. The ice cream itself is delicious. I love the unique flavors they have :) there are classics for those who prefer that. There are a few seats outside to sit and enjoy your ice cream but not enough for a big group. There aren't any tables inside either. But that's ok because you can walk through downtown and find some benches :) read more

We stopped by on Sunday evening around 7:30 PM, and the overall vibe was pretty disappointing. The staff behind the counter seemed unengaged and offered little to no service or enthusiasm. Since it had rained earlier, all the outdoor chairs were wet and collecting water -- understandable, but it would've been nice if someone had made an effort to wipe them down or at least mention it. Not a huge deal, but I would've appreciated even a small gesture like a smile or acknowledgment, especially toward my child who was excited to be there. Little things like that make a big difference in the experience. read more

Whenever I'm in downtown Danville, I crave Lottie's. We most recently stopped by after our Valentine's Day dinner and agreed to skip the restaurant's dinner and get Lottie's instead...really goes to show how great it is. And I've found my favorite flavor...Vanilla Salted Almond Toffee. It has the signature dense, gummy ice cream pull that I love in a good ice cream, with a perfectly sweet vanilla base + salted caramel swirl + bits of crunchy toffee + pieces of crunchy almond. The man behind the counter was extremely rude. No hi or hello. Gave us an attitude when I asked if they had a certain flavor. He stood in front of the flavor list on the wall, so I couldn't see them. What is his role if he can't even serve customers? I tried to give him the benefit of the doubt to teach my kid to be generous and open minded, but it still ruined our evening and experience. Always delicious and unique flavors. My faves are Ethiopian Coffee and Lemon Marshmallow! Sooooo goooood! Such a treat on a hot day, or any day really... because you probably deserve it. Easy walk up service and outside seating. I love an old-school cone, but if you need it a cup will make it more manageable. My husband likes their ice cream sandwiches, which come in vanilla bean or chocolate. We used to make the trek to WC for this ice cream, but now we have one in town! And, and they have pints in the freezer to take some of that yummy goodness home for later. read more

Randomly walked in here for a cold treat on a sunny day! I opted for the brownie vanilla ice scream sandwich. The flavors were very rich and the brownie was very chocolatey! Cute little ice cream shop off the main strip. I think they change the flavors, but at the time I got double scoop of honeycomb and brown butter apple "something." Both were so delicious, and not too sweet. They tasted like their names. I also got a brown butter rice crispy treat which was pretty good too. Service was friendly. Delicious gourmet ice cream and sorbet shop. If you're looking for unique flavors and modern version of the classics, try Lottie's Creamery. Staff friendly, answered questions, and kindly provided samples. I tried the fresh mint chocolate chip and you really taste the essence of mint throughout . The honey-orange blossom has that sweet floral and fruity taste with a hint of orange. I left with (3) pre-packed pints of the lemon with marshmallow for a friend and claims it was super delicious. Also, purchased a pint of the Rocky Road which was an elevated version with swirls of caramel, brownie, almonds and marshmallow. I saw some other unique flavors like honey lavender and rose cardamom pistachio but wanted to sample before I committed to spending $13 on a pint. Next time I'll get a scoop in their waffle cones or bowls. I'm guessing they're made in house as the wonderful, scent of buttery, vanilla waffles is evident as you pass....then back up and bee-line into Lottie's Plenty of street parking available. read more

The soft serve had an intensely creamy flavor with a high milk content and while the honey enjoyed his Thai milk tea boba, the style of my mango cup was not for me (although the fish cone option is very cute). We ordered from a tablet at the front and the service was prompt and friendly. I'd love to see them add in some outside seating as beyond the Starbucks, there's no seating in this shopping center. All in all, we may come back to order food but sadly it just wasn't a good match for the type of ice cream I enjoy.

They have parking and are located in a bustling stretch of Danville near many shops and restaurants. Our group sampled some of their ice cream menu items and everyone was very pleased. Cost was average to high, which surprised me a bit. That said, it feels like the pricing reflects the norm for that area. Service was quick and friendly.
