Soooo Delicious!!! Kids and I stopped here after a Chapel event and were greeted by friendly staff. Linda is so sweet! My son chose sprinkles and very specific about which one and she happily picked through the assorted colors. My daughter had the chocolate donut with custard filling and loved it! Details: CASH Only New Hours and New Menu Pictures Posted Call 916-477-5844 to order ahead. We are placing an order for 6 dozen donuts this weekend and will be back soon!

I was doing a grocery run at Smart and Final and wanted to check out this local donut shop. San Ramon already has several solid options in Dainty Donuts, Best Donuts, and even the Safeway Deli. Christys is definitely the smallest among these and there were limited selections when I arrived. I ordered an apple fritter which was just huge and crispy, although definitely more sugary than applely (is that even a word?). Like Best Donuts, they offer a range of breakfast bagel and sandwiches and the coffee is self-serve from Peerless. They are also cash-only. Overall 3 stars. I'd be interested in trying more of their offerings if in the area. So far, I think Dainty Donuts has the consistently larger selection.

My sister and I made our first visit to Christy's this morning and chatted with the nice lady working behind the counter. She was very friendly and said that Christy's has been in business for 37 years, although ownership changed last year. Wow! What a great neighborhood institution. We ordered half a dozen donuts, including several chocolate, a sugar donut, a cinnamon bun and a glazed old fashioned. All of them were dee-licious! The donuts were fresh and fluffy with a subtle buttery taste. In addition to donuts, Christy's also sells muffins, bagels and lottery scratchers. How lucky can one girl be? The chance to get a sugar fix and to win a bunch of money all in one spot. Insider tip: This place is cash only but there is an ATM onsite that you can use for a fee.

I grew up in San Ramon, and my family's go-to donut shop has been Doughboys Donuts in Dublin. My sister recently moved to Danville, so we discovered Christy Donuts in the neighborhood. Our aunt and uncle live in Danville and they said that they frequent Christy's for their donut needs. They're big fans of the apple fritters here. Christy's Donuts is cash only, as most donut shops are. When my sister and I first visited we were greeted by a nice lady working there. She said that Christy's has been around for 37 years and counting! How awesome is that?! My favorite donut in general is a chocolate raised donut, and boy do they make great ones here! Their donuts are super fresh that they still taste amazing and have nice texture the next day! I've been back a couple of times already since my first visit and I plan on returning again! I'm craving their chocolate donut now!

    Delicious!

The boss brought in a Baker's Dozen. I'm not really a sprinkles guy however, I picked the rainbow with white icing on honor of Pride Month. Super moist and even with all the sugar, it was not too sweet. A black coffee washed it down nicely. Definitely a winner!

Apple Fritter and coconut donuts and some miscs.

My go-to is always an original glazed as it's not covered up with frills and distractions from truly tasting the dough. At first look, it wasn't overly opague aka covered in sugar glaze. It had just enough to sweet the top. It was a nice chew and sponginess that made me want to take another bite. Not too sweet. I only cut half as I wanted to try something sweeter, working my way up. I love a good raspberry jelly donut. Again, nice chew and not too sweet. Filling didn't have that artificially taste and spread evenly with each bite. I enjoyed it. DD loved the chocolate cake with cereal top. She didn't share bc it was that good to her. Hubs ate the chocolate glaze and maple bar by himself so I couldn't taste either. I guess the fam enjoyed it. Wish they had some French Cruellers as that's another favorite of mine. Before we had the sweets, we did share a croissant bacon egg cheese sandwich. Ngl, I was pleasantly surprised. Microwaved crispy bacon and melted cheese and it was a pretty tasty breakfast sandwich was for a donut shop. I'd drive across town again for more when I get another fix and donut what to eat for breakfast

From the moment you step inside, there is an unmistakable warmth to the space not just from the ovens but from the overall vibe. It is bright, upbeat, and welcoming in a way that immediately puts you at ease and sets the tone for a great experience. We started with the Pop Tarts which deserve special recognition. These are not novelty pastries. They are elevated, flaky, buttery, and packed with flavor. The kind of treat that makes you pause mid bite and immediately realize this place takes its craft seriously. The breakfast burrito was equally impressive. Hearty, well balanced, and comforting without being heavy, it was clearly made with intention and quality ingredients rather than shortcuts. The waffles with blueberries and whipped cream were outstanding. Crisp on the outside and soft and airy on the inside, with fresh blueberries that added brightness and a whipped cream that felt light and indulgent rather than overly sweet. It was the kind of dish that manages to feel nostalgic and refined at the same time. Then came the pastries. Any attempt at restraint disappeared quickly. Everything in the case looked incredible and after tasting the first few items it became obvious that passing on anything would have been a mistake. We ended up buying far more pastries than planned simply because the quality across the board was that high. There were no weak links. What truly elevates Life Is Sweet beyond excellent food is the energy of the place. There is a positivity that fills the room and it is completely effortless. It makes you want to slow down, sit longer, and enjoy where you are. Whether you are stopping in for a quick breakfast or lingering with coffee and conversation, the environment naturally lifts your mood. Life Is Sweet is not just a bakery or breakfast spot. It is a place that genuinely enhances your day. The food is exceptional, the atmosphere is inviting, and the experience stays with you well after you leave. This is a must visit in Danville and the kind of place you will find yourself thinking about long after the last pastry is gone.
