I came into The Melt in Danville to pick up my mobile order. I was met with wondrous warmth and a sincere smile. From Luis, the Assistant Manager who greeted me. The Customer Service from him was terrific, and noteworthy. As was the delectable meal prepared for me. The classic grilled cheese, paired with the tomato soup is everything. A solidly recommendable combination. A favorite choice of many, especially is for a comfort foodie like me. At any time of day/night, I'm down to indulge. I'm grateful for the late closing hours. Also, the Alameda Craft soda stations, they have at each location. Which I find are the better of options we can choose from all When electing to dine in, after ordering items. I nowadays will only choose the sodas to drink that are crafted with real cane sugar. Not the high fructose corn syrup. You can taste the real difference. I now fondly prefer the seven different Alameda Soda beverage flavors on tap. Fortunately, they are free of artificial flavors/colors. Yay! read more

We were able to get a table inside- it was nostalgic to hear the seniors talking about graduation and summer plans We liked the casual environment and the fun, happy energy. They do have a loyalty program- details were on the bottom of the receipt. I also noticed the next day on upside app that if you claim the offer- you can get 6% bank on your purchases Restaurant and restrooms were clean We found plenty of parking in the lot. I honestly wish I could give this place zero stars. I came into The Melt in Danville with a reward I had been saving, and somehow that turned into one of the most frustrating customer service experiences I've had in a long time. First off, the staff seemed completely confused about how to apply a basic reward. What should have been a simple process turned into a back-and-forth ordeal where no one seemed to know what they were doing. I had to explain it multiple times, and even then it felt like they were just guessing. On top of that, the attitude was terrible. Instead of trying to fix the issue or even showing a little patience, they acted annoyed like I was the problem. No apology, no effort to make things right--just dismissive and unhelpful the entire time. It's honestly not that hard: know your own system and treat customers with some basic respect. I've been to other locations, and I wasn't as impressed with this one. My first impression was that it was not as clean. The trash was overflowing in the bathroom, there was no more ketchup, and the ketchup/utensils area was messy. The staff is friendly and attentive, but the area needs to be cleaned a bit more frequently. Now for the food, we had some good dishes and some were ok. I came with my husband and we decided to split food so we could try a few things. The Spicy Mission Burger: This was a good burger, and we added mushrooms, lettuce, and tomatoes. The burger was a bit dry, and they forgot to add our lettuce, but overall it was good. It is tasty. Spicy Crispy Sandwich, this was my favorite. The chicken was breaded well, and the flavor was good. Three Cheese Classic with added Crumbs, this was a bit bland and I was disappointed it wasn't as cheesy. I would skip this one next time. Strawberry Shake, it was delicious! It wasn't too sweet and it was creamy. Fries, they were thin and cooked just right. The seasoning was also perfect. Overall the experience wasn't bad but it wasn't great either. Was craving a burger so came where our good friends recommended to pick up. The app kept crashing, which should have red flagged us but after filling our cart 3 times (kept reseting) and attempting to pay 3 times (kept erasing my credit card), our order was placed. Estimated pick-up time on a Sunday afternoon was 9 minutes. We arrived 15 minutes later and checked on our order. The worker at the register was overwhelmed and unable to give us an estimate since they were backed up with orders. We waited for a bit, but at the 35 minute mark I checked again. He was as lost as ever and I felt bad because it didn't seem like he had any support from anyone there. There was a line of waiting customers for pick up at this point. I returned to my car to wait and after another 10 minutes, got a text that our order was ready. Worker apologized and seemed like they got our entire order correct. We ordered: - 2 melt-burgers (one well done, one regular but both were way overcooked. It was like chewing on tasteless cardboard. I was starving so still ate it. Edible but not satisfying by any means. - two fries (cold, hard and tasteless. Even my 3 year old son, who has loved every french fry he has come across up until this point, said his fries were hard and not very good.) - caesar salad- underwhelming but the best thing I ordered - spicy melt burger (husband ate it and no complaints, but he also eats week old leftovers and food he doesn't like the taste of so no surprise here) Our total was over $60 and I'm sure it was an off day because our friends have excellent taste, but even my friend said her burger was pretty awful today. Food is as good as the pics look, which is excellent. It's now one of my favorite burger joints. Nothing fancy, just a clean, well kept dining area serving great burgers. Don't come out smelling like burgers so the ventilation is very good, especially with the "garage" door open. Music is a bit louder than it needs to be but other than that, a great place to have a great burger. Really this place is a 4.5 star burger joint so after I return I'll rate it a 4.... Yummmmmyyy! Our family of 4 visited The Melt on Friday evening for dinner and unanimously, hands down, we all love it! I ordered the Nashville spicy chicken sandwich with garlic fries and wow the chicken was thin and crispy, the sauce and jalapeños definitely gave it a spice kick, it's tasty!! The garlic Parmesan fries was delicious as well! The hubs ordered a patty melt with garlic fries and loved it. He said he's definitely down to come back. My son devoured the fajitas mac & cheese he ordered and he said he was delicious and a decent size portion. My daughter ordered a kids burger with apples . Everybody was satisfied with their meal. We were Soo full and chilling at the table and a worker came by to ask how we were doing and gave us a complimentary freshly baked chocolate chip cookie! Updated Review, for take-out: My previous review was a bit harsh from a Doordash experience. Its a totally different experience coming here in person for takeout. Plenty of parking, large, spacious interior with cool vibes, and friendly service. One unique feature is that they open really early - like 10am. This seems way too early for burgers. However. my 4yo son starts school at 11:30am, and with a busy schedule we don't always have time to cook lunch for him. Plus, he's a picky eater! Enter the Kid's Cheeseburger at Melt. Juicy beef patty that's literally encased in melted American cheese, This is much better than sliced cheese, since that way my son can't fish it out, LOL! The kid's fries are a good portion too, and always crispy and seasoned. Comparing to other fast casual burger and sandwich chains, their quality and taste are quite impressive, and the price point is reasonable. You can definitely get the bang for your buck here. I have been here several times since the aforementioned Yelp event and out of all the items I've tried, my favorite is definitely the Double Swiss "N" Shroom Meltburger. The soft, toasty bun, juicy beef patties, melted cheese, sauteed mushrooms, and crispy sting onions all add up to this delicious burger. Pair that with some crispy fries and a shake, there you have your perfect meal! Service wise, I have never had a bad experience here. The staff is always courteous and friendly. The employees are rude and act like you're a bother to order from them. They seriously need to refresh upon BASIC customer service skills. This is an update: The third time must be the charm. I ordered the burgers on three occasions - the first two times the burgers had little or no cheese. The third time, the burgers came just like they look in the pictures- with lots of cheese dripping over the burger. It was amazing! I found this place on yelp and decided to try it. It's in a shopping center that's a little busy. This place is pretty cool it has a garage door that opens. You walk in and you order your food you're on a monitor. Then you get a buzzer. We went on a Friday and they were pretty fast. I didn't like that there was no mustard or mayo option. The burger had a hint of spice that I really liked. They don't really come with much on them no lettuce, tomatoes, or pickles. I ordered one hamburger meal, kids meal, a hamburger, an extra sweat potato fries, and two shakes for $50. I liked it but the burger was a bit greasy but my son loved it. They're located near the iron horse trail, so get yo fat butt on the trail after you gobble up a nice double patty burger with a craft soda. The servers are friendly!
