This Jersey Mike's is located in Danville's Clock Tower Square, directly across the street from Primo's Pizzeria & Pub. I met my buddy George F. here on 11/09/2025. We were their first customers of the day when we walked in at 10am. The tiny shop was clean and well organized. Seating was comprised of a couple small tables inside and several outside. We ordered a giant #13 The Original Italian to share. One of the workers quickly put together our sandwich. The meat slicing was fun to watch. The Original Italian was made with ham, prosciuttini, cappacuolo, salami, pepperoni, and provolone. It was delicious and definitely enough for two people. The meat/veg ratio was about 50/50. The only thing missing was Danny DeVito. Overall, this place is for sure better than Subway, but not as good as my all-time favorite Parma Deli in Concord. 4 stars. read more

We got an original Italian sub which was fine. It wasn't very flavorful unfortunately. The service was ok. Not bad, not wonderful, just ok. We've tried a few different things and love the viral "pregnancy sandwich" (I personally skip jalapeños and banana peppers) but I'm told those add to the pickled goodness. Jersey Mike's in Danville is great. The sandwiches are obviously delicious, especially with their house spread and the oil and vinegar on top. I rated them a 4 rather than a 5 because if you walk in and just order, it can be pretty slow. I understand though, because they are literally cutting the meat as you order the sandwich. Having said that, they are STELLAR at orders placed ahead of time. I have ordered for my family and my daughter's flag football team several times and they had everything correct and ready to go each time. I think this was my first time at Jersey Mike's. Pretty damn good subs. The meats are sliced in front of you and freshly made at an awesome speed. I ordered the giant number 8 with roast beef with wheat bread. Love how they slice the giant sub into 4 mini subs which makes it easier to eat, share or save for yourself to eat later. The bacon gave each bite a good crunch. The giant sub feels a bit heavy with all the meat and toppings. I think my arm got tired walking to my car. Looking forward to coming back. I love this place the sandwiches are delicious and would give it 5++stars for food and customer service but today I was very disappointed to find they mislead their customers with their so called "The Juice" which is a rosemary vinegarette and olive oil blend. I asked to see what the "blend" is and found it was non other SEED OILS(canola and vegetable oil!!) This stuff is a killer, sooooo bad for us all, causing horrible inflammation , heart disease, atherosclerosis ect. I'm an certain it will be outlawed nationwide at some point. Review is for Doordash delivery: Sometimes you just want to have a nice sandwich for lunch. It can be made and delivered quickly, and there's just that sensation of biting into some chewy bread and all those layers of savory meat! Before this pandemic I normally get a big deli sandwich for lunch a few times a week at Little Louises in Point Richmond. I have not been back for 13+ months! Luckily, Jersey Mike's offers up some pretty excellent subs. Their Original Italian is a great choice, especially with crunchy rosemary parmesan bread. The meats and veggies all tasted fresh and the flavors melded together well. I think its my first time having cappacuolo! Way better than anything you get from Subway's for sure! For dessert I got their Butterscotch Krimpets Tastycake. These decadent, super-sweet spongecakes are definitely an East-coast thing. My buddy from grad school went to Penn State undergrad and raved about Tastycakes! At 320 calories, a package of Tastycakes is about the same as an It's It Ice Cream Sandwich, LOL! We tried Jersey Mike's for the first time recently and discovered a nice addition to our sandwich place rotation. The downtown Danville location is right on Hartz and Diablo, next to the clock tower. It's a great, central location with a parking lot behind the building. We visited a little bit after lunchtime and were served right away. The staff members were courteous and got our food ready pretty quickly. My husband got the Original Italian cold sub, but I wanted a hot sandwich. I decided to try the Bacon Ranch Chicken Cheesesteak, which is a BLT with chopped chicken and ranch. I'm a huge ranch fan so I knew I'd like this sandwich. It was delicious and filling. A big leg up from Subway and Togos (which has become insanely expensive) this place has nice fresh bread and uses some manner of "oil" to keep the whole sandwich moist. The cheese covered bread is outstanding. Im knocking off one star because even when you order extra meat, they are stingy with it, one of my biggest pet peeves. If I pay extra money then I want a big grip of turkey on there thats ABOVE what I normally get. I can't wait for the Walnut Creek locations to open so I can not have to drive here from Martinez anymore. So, I made an order on the app and it errored citing me to "try again". I tried again, same error. I tried again, same error. I removed a coupon thinking maybe that was an issue, same error. Removed a "free sandwich" promo from the orders same error. I changed payment method, same error. I retired after verifying all my info was correct, same error. I log out and log in then reorder - same error. Okay. I give up on the app, I'll just go to the store (die I mention from Martinez?) and order the food there. On the door is a sign, "cash only". What? Well I don't carry cash on me so. I guess I'm not eating Jersey Mike's today. That's probably why the app isn't working - if it's cash only, the internet is probably out - yadda yadda. I go back to my car and I get a notice from my bank - 5 charges from Jersey Mike's went through even though the order errored. I checked my other account and sure enough, 2 charges on there as well. I went inside and explained and left my name, phone number, and email to get contacted by someone they said could help - nobody has contacted me at all. I have almost enough points in my JM account to buy my own franchise at this point so I think I at least earned at least an apology from someone - still haven't heard one even from the people in the store who took my info. I checked last night and the phone and internet are back on - though of course nobody is answering the phone and the voicemail system is "full" so it doesn't allow to you to leave a message at all. How convenient that you can't get a hold of a person on the phone. A GREAT way to run a store, by the way. So here I am going into the weekend with a company who's main office is on the East Coast and closes at Friday at 5p (2p for us). It's now Saturday and I guess "screw me" for the 7-10 days my money is in limbo due to app errors and lack of care by any real person in Danville. So as I stated at the start of this review, I'll be excited when the new Walnut Creek locations (multiple, thank the gods!) open soon so my drive to Danville disappears entirely. Yes, this one issue soured me on your store. I had a bad experience at Jersey Mike's Subs. I noticed a heavy set young man wearing peach/pink crocs. (No name tag)He was obviously having a bad day and was rude. He just finished helping a young boy in a baseball uniform who forgot his receipt. The employee said to the next customer he was about to help. "Hand this to the kid". meaning the receipt for the kid. No please, do you mind, nothing. I then said "please?" He looked at me with a disgusted look on his face. When it was time to serve me, I ordered the special made in house tuna. He made sure he made my sandwich with the last of the tuna which had a lot of water in it. Ultimately the sandwich wasn't any good and the water was dripping all over the table. I asked the shift manager for a new sandwich which she provided. Amazing place! I love to come here all the time they have a very friendly staff and have my favorite sandwiches ever. My favorite sandwich in particular is the club sub. They touch the oven, then they touch your sandwich, then they continue touching other things and then back to the food. Cameron is an excellent store manager, having been an employee at this location since nearly the day that they opened their doors. He always knows the regular customers by name and has their orders ready to go : ) I spoke to one man who told me that he comes here every weekday for lunch as he makes his rounds for work! The sandwiches here are FULL of flavor and tasty, yet light so that I don't feel any heaviness after lunch! They're old skool Northeast-style subs that are a cut above the rest! Cameron slices the meat right in front of you, just like at a deli, and the bread is baked every day in the store. All of their sammies come with lettuce, onions, and tomatoes. They also add their signature oil and vinegar at your request. I like the fact that they have THREE different sizes of subs to choose from, depending on how hungry you are: + Mini -- enough for a snack + Regular -- enough to eat solo or share with a pal + Giant -- enough to split with a few friends They serve both cold subs and hot subs, as well as breakfast and kid's meals. This is the place we go to for a quick soulful lunch. This satisfies the hunger spot. They are quick but the quality is also right on! The staff is also well experienced and get our orders right and can meet our customized requests. We always get two giant subs Mike's way, easy on the mayo, onions on one sub and no on the other. We signed up for the rewards points so we add up those points fast and we get a free sub or drink because of the rewards points. Not that I was expecting mediocrity, but I didn't think it would be on par with Cousin's, my favourite sub joint from Wisconsin, my home state. Clean, small restaurant. Young, friendly staff. Busy making to go/ catering orders when I stopped in at 10:30am on a Friday. Went for the ham and provolone on white with everything, aka Mine's style. It is juicy and tasty. There's parking in the back as well as street parking but it does get crowded during peak eating times as there are a fair amount of restaurants and eateries in this area. I N T E R I O R This place is fairly small. Not much seating so don't expect to bring a giant group here. I feel like this place used to be the Baskin Robbins, but I could be wrong. S E R V I C E The employees were very friendly! They wished me a happy birthday for my free sandwich which was nice. M E N U They have subs. Duh. They have cold subs and hot subs in varying sizes of mini, regular and giant which I think is 3 inch, 6 inch, and 12 inch subs. They also have wraps. The hot subs do only come in regular and giant. I ended up getting the Grilled Pastrami Reuben and sad to say the meat was a bit dry for me. It was nice that it was warm. I wish there was more sauerkraut and spread. O V E R A L L I put Jersey Mikes on par with Subway, Quiznos, Togos, and Jimmy John's. It's all just ok. I wish I was still working in Concord as I do miss the sandwich places there like Parma and Luigi's. I have been going to this Jersey Mikes location since it opened. I never had an issue waiting for a order until today I went in before noon and ordered a cheesesteak. Usually it takes about ten minutes to be made and received. Today while not particularly busy (just average of 5 or so walk ins). I waited and waited for twenty minutes for it to be ready for me. 5/5 experience. The new guy absolutely oiled me up. Woke up at 9 AM today, hadn't had anything to eat so I wandered over to J Mikes. I was worried that the local High-school flood gates would burst open for lunch hour but was pleasantly surprised when I arrived first. I got a number 8 mikes way no tomatoes (my usual order). Being east-coasters, this is my parents' favorite sub shop. I think I'm converted as well. We've liked all the sandwiches we've tried. Even when there's a long line, they have a good efficient system. And I love that they slice the meat fresh, straight from the slicer to your bread. We tend to get a few different "regular" sized sandwiches and then cut them into quarters to share. Today, I had a little chicken parm, a little traditional Italian, and a little super sub. I moved to NorCal from the Tri-State area of CT, NY, NJ. What is noticeably missing here in NorCal is legit delis and deli sandwiches. I grew up with places all around us that made amazing sandwiches and Italian combos. Jersey Mike's is right nearby in Danville and their #13 Italian Combo is awesome and brings back happy flavor memories. Sadly I haven't tried anything else, but I mean to.
