The total came to $9.50 and it was 75 cents an oz. The soft serve was yummy! It wasn't too sweet and the cookie dough was chewy. Yogurt Shack doesn't just sell fro-yo these days, it now sells Fentons ice cream and is probably the closest location to Walnut Creek that carries it. As some might know, I am not a fro-yo person so I had never been inside however I just happened to see the little sign that said they carried Fenton's so the honey and I walked in and ordered a cookie crumble. First, the serving size was just massive, big enough for two people and if you're into toppings, this is the store for you as it had so much in the way of toppings I was almost shocked. I was in the area and love froyo so I had to come try it! There is a nearby parking lot that lets you park for 3 hours free. I came in on a Saturday late afternoon and there were some people sitting inside. They have quite the flavors, a few unique ones and some classics like french vanilla, golden gate chocolate, cookies and cream, etc. They do have a vanilla creme which is my favorite! It's actually super creamy and delicious. By far, this place has the most amount of topping available. Yogurt is priced at 75cents for oz and my total came out to be under $7. There's usually parking and outdoor seating, the inside doesn't smell that great usually like a chlorine smell but you get used to it after being inside for a while. I visited this cute yogurt shop. It's on a very busy corner in Danville and I wasn't planning on going here but it is next door to the place I ordered a pizza from so I decided to stop in while waiting for my pizza to finish cooking. The staff here are super friendly and helpful. There's a really good atmosphere here and I felt very comfortable, also I felt like my business was important to them. I asked how one of the ice creams tasted, if they used real Oreo cookies in the cookies and cream ice cream. (By the way, even though it's a yogurt shop, they also serve absolutely wonderful ice cream, which is what I chose) Anyways the girl who helped me offered to let me try any of the ice creams I wanted to try. Knowing I like cookies and cream and after knowing that YES they do use real Oreo cookies, I decided to try the mint cookies and cream ice cream. Hands down that is the best ice cream I've ever tried. That is saying a lot for me too because I've had a lot of ice cream in my time. But this was minty and creamy and so creamy. Wait did I mention that it's creamy?!?! It is so good I can't emphasize enough just how amazing this ice cream is. I can only imagine what the other flavors tasted like. I wish I could remember what the other flavors were, but I'm sorry I don't remember. There was probably 10 flavors though. You really need to go to this cute popular spot. They're open until 10pm so on a warm night like it was tonight this is definitely a great place to be. I felt like I was somewhere like Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk because there's a ton of tables and everything is opened up and there is a ton of people. It was just a great place. It's probably the best frozen yogurt place I have literally ever tried. Similar pricing to Yogurtland, Menchies, and Berry Delight, but much better in flavor and creaminess, when comparing signature tart flavor, my personal favorite and go-to flavor for all froyo places. Also much cheaper than Pinkberry and on the same quality tier. Also the nearest Pinkberry is like an hour away. I usually just get tart with mochi and maybe strawberries. The place is clean and nice, and the employees are friendly. It's very close to SRVHS and I think many of the employees are students there. I can't believe this place has been open for nearly 2 decades and I just recently discovered it in the last couple years, well after COVID lockdowns were over. I've lived 10-15 minutes from here my whole life in the Windemere neighborhood of San Ramon, often passing by it, but didn't ever bother trying it until I started attending Saint Mary's College and trying their second location in Lafayette on Mt Diablo Blvd, next to Whole Foods and Chipotle. Since moving back to San Ramon a few weeks ago, I have been here several times. I highly recommend this place over any other frozen yogurt places in the area, and perhaps even in the world, as far as I know! It's the perfect summer treat! Signature tart has to be my favorite flavor but the dole whip is good too. I have not tried their other flavors since I generally don't like sweet flavors that aren't sour which are typically ice cream flavors (such as vanilla or chocolate) as froyo but I have heard they are good too, perhaps typically for younger children. The current price is 68 cents per ounce, which is either the same or cheaper as other places that don't taste as good. I can't believe I've driven past this place so many times but never stopped by. It's a great place for frozen yogurt, with the price by the ounce. I was surprised that it wasn't too pricey- only around $4-5 for a good amount with ample toppings. The self-serve yogurt with the self-serve toppings was fantastic and the line moved smoothly and quickly. I got the vanilla, cold brew, and chocolate flavors, all of which were delicious, though the vanilla was my favorite. There were SO many toppings to choose from, and I could definitely see kids having a lot of fun with the toppings. Good and bad. This is my favorite yogurt spot in Livermore, great flavors and tons of options for toppings. The service is a hit and miss sometimes it's good and sometimes it's really bad. I also get super annoyed because their hours constantly change and they never post them on IG, Yelp, or their website. This is the place to go after a nice dinner if you are feeling dessert. It was quick and efficient and we were in and out in less than 5 minutes. Cookies and cream tasted classic and amazing as it always does, I layered mine with brownies, fudge and Oreo crumbs too (judge me haters). After a light but umami-rich sushi dinner at Ukai, we were craving a healthier dessert. We headed toward our closest froyo place, Mechie's. To our surprise, two adjacent shopping plazas in San Ramon had a complete power blackout! A quick Yelp search led us to the classic Yogurt Shack in downtown Danville. Yogurt Shack looks like a classic, no-frills froyo place thats busy at night and seems to be a local favorite. Their shared parking lot is small, so you probably aim for street parking. They serve a few flavors on plain, white paper cups without the fancy logos or colorful designs of Menchie's or Yogurtland. Still, very good quality froyo here. I found the texture slightly on the denser side, yet smooth and creamy. I tried the Cold Brew Coffee flavor with the Pralines without toppings and felt it was solid. In restaurants I like to pair dessert with black coffee but here I get a two-for-one. Current pricing is just over 50 cents per ounce, which is about 25% higher than 12-years ago. Fellow Yelper Carolen M's review quoted over 40 cents per ounce. That is consistent with a compounded annual growth rate of about 2%/yr, so yes unlike College tuition the cost of froyo has kept up with inflation at the Yogurt Shack. The fact that this place has survived for over a decade in downtown Danville speaks for itself. 5 stars! read more

I'm a huge fan of Yogurt and they got all the healthy and unhealthy topping to add to you cup. But just remember like i said it's 59 ct per ounce and it will add up faster then a yelp elite denial letter. They have 2 large cup size. I call them you are large and get fat with it size. The larger size is HUGE! They don't really allow tasting before hand and they will give you a taste but you have to ask. It's run by younger teenagers who are just there to make a buck. So if you have a bunch of questions or want the history of Yogurt Shack... I don't think so. I think it's so pricey as it has to due with the area; it's a rich people area lets be honest. They are back to self-serve! Their toppings selection extends across the whole room. Also, their cookie dough is homemade and amazing! The cookie dough is as good as Yogurt Park's in Berkeley, but better because you get to customize your toppings and yogurt, as the cost is determined by ounce here. It's way better than the typical cookie dough pebbles that you find in frozen yogurt chains like yogurtland or tutti frutti. They have a pretty wide range of froyo flavors to choose from, too. read more

So I've been on a "let go on a Yogurt Run" lately. My grown daughters have fueled this passion. And right now this is my "it" place. 1. its close to home (super important) though parking can be a challenge, I usually find something around the corner. 2. multiple choices of yogurt. Favorites being: Mounds, Carmel Pecan, and I heard someone mention they've had Marshmallow? My all time personal fav, I'll be looking for that one!!! But they always have Vanilla and Golden Gate Chocolate and a couple other rotated flavors. 3. What I think are the widest and bestest selection of toppings. My personal favs (as if you care): dark choc. chips, yogurt chips, jimmies, a dash of butterfinger, a dash of heathbar, marshmallows, and a small squirt of caramel and small squirt of hot fudge. Oh and I crush alittle vanilla wafer on mine too. 4. almost forgot, YOU are in control of your yogurt's destiny into it's bowl! Very important, I eat a small portion and minimal amounts of toppings and my yogurt is usually under two bucks. And I'm happy, I don't need a tower of yogurt and gummy bears and maraschino cherries and other crap...ok maybe you do .....fine....then you can make yours just the way you desire! 5. I have a card and after ten little yogurts I get a free one.....sweet! The place is always clean and they will give you a sample if you want to taste the yogurt. Its only expensive if you get a big ass heavy one. I seriously have it down to a science and it's the perfect amount and it's usually around $2 dinero....what a great summer treat! added note: on a recent trip for the first time I actually used their bathroom, and I was very impressed. Fun for the froyo fond and for the family. For the fickle in flavor, fear no farther, for the fickle cannot find fault for they can finger what they fancy and forgo those flat to them. Fate is a frightful force, so forget fighting it. So finish fooling and fill your firkin with some of the finest froyo in Fanville...yeah..um..too bad Danville doesn't start with an F. Okay no more f's cause it's so hard to find f words... "Please. No eating before weighing. Thank you" is hovering over the dispensers of frozen yogurt. If you've never been here before you would think that you needed to weigh yourself in before getting any frozen yogurt. If that were the case, I would have turned around and run out the door crying. But it's actually because they charge you for the weight of frozen yogurt and toppings you concoct yourself! The workers are nice, helpful, and give large tasting samples. They have 8 different flavors to choose from and change them about twice weekly. There are 26 different toppings to choose from from the weird sour belts to the normal hot fudge. For $0.40 an ounce, you'll have to be careful not to overfill your container otherwise you'll be paying a pretty penny. And there's no one to blame except yourself since you're the one who's in control at this yogurt shack. The place is really clean and decorated in a hawaiian upscale type of feel to it. I really loved the seats that were red and white checkered. Music was a mix of beach-like (Beach Boys) to main stream music (Oasis, Kelly Clarkson). What I would have liked is if they had a standard price for each cup size. Then you can fill it up to your heart's content, then you don't need to worry about weight! Then I wouldn't have to blame myself for spending $5 on frozen yogurt...*tear* Overall...it's fantabulously fun. read more

My family and I went to blue line pizza and came here after for dessert. As far as yogurt spots go it checks all the boxes. Self serve, lots of flavors, lots of toppings, samples, and a nice layout. Yogurt in general has gone up and up in price per ounce so it was a little pricey but for a date night or treating yourself it was great. The yogurt consistency was good and the place was very clean. They have the best frozen yogurt flavors and such a wide variety. The yogurt itself is never watery or "icey", its always thick and creamy. They also have some of the best toppings.
