I've heard so many good things about Lost and Found, I knew I needed to try it for myself. When I first arrived, I realized parking was scarce. I did notice a lot that you could park in, but it was valet only which I thought was interesting. Therefore, if you do not want to pay for parking, you have to park on a side street (although, I should mention there are like 4 spots directly next to the building that seems to be free parking). Upon making it into the restaurant, I was promptly seated. I think the ambiance was super fun and the music was great. Lost&Found had a lot of cocktails to choose from, although, I didn't try anything on the day I went. For lunch, I ordered the cajun pasta with shrimp and crawfish. I thought it came out perfectly. It was seasoned incredibly well and I loved how the veggies were incorporated. I did wish that the garlic bread was baked a touch longer, but ultimately, I found that this dish was awesome. I was excited to give this place a try as an "out of towner" but the moment our server greeted us, we could tell the experience would be subpar. Not sure if they're under new management but the new manager Chad came by all the tables to introduce himself and check on things which was nice. Our waiter Jamaul was very helpful and attentive. I got the shrimp and salmon platter which was very good. My date got the lamb chops which he also liked but couldn't really eat with the plastic utensils they give everyone. I asked for a real knife and they provided it to him. I got the sidekick drink and it was yummy. Now for the bad From what I could see it wasn't packed but there was a long line/wait. They have a queue of chairs under an awning in the parking lot and apparently you're supposed to be in order of arrival and in those chairs and move down every time a table leaves the queue to be seated. If things get out of order or if a 2 top is available be fore a 4 or inside before outside it gets thrown off. We were told it would be a 10 minute wait and ended up being 30-40 with ppl who arrived after us being seated before. While I appreciated having a seat while I wait I think they would implement a proper waitlist where they take your name, number of people and preferred inside or outside seating so they can call you in the proper order. I did not have a reservation and when I arrived 7:15 on a Friday I was expecting a crowd and there was. The line was wrapped outside with no updates from staff. Until I went up to the hostess and asked if bar seating is available and she said yes and I sat right away. The drink menu is your cocktails with a spin. Range of options and it was delicious. I did not like That they were charging $40 for valet parking and they also don't have a proper system to keep track of guest parties. I went to Palapas for brunch on a Sunday and didn't have the best experience. I'll start off with the good: our waiter was very friendly and funny. The decor is super cute. Very photo worthy. Now, to the rest... The day I went, it was sprinkling but manageable. We did sit outside and they had umbrellas but the wind + rain combo had us a tad wet. I understand the weather is not their issue so let's get to the interesting stuff. Before the rain started, they still had the spray misters on for a little. And of course this is Houston so it's always helpful when you cool off. But this particular day was not scorching hot. And this fans were actually getting us pretty soaked. With no one sitting beside us, we asked if they could turn it down or turn it off and we were told no. So not only is the rain getting on me but so is the mist from their fans... The drinks were fine but I tried the pasta as our waiter recommend it. I'm not a super picky person but if a pasta is labeled Cajun it should have some spice. Regardless, a good pasta has meet with every bite (or almost every bite) this pasta had meat with 3/30 bites. Also, while eating we did ask for water from our waiter and he ended up forgetting.
