Placed the order 6:09 over the phone for pick up , I expected to wait. My order wasn't placed by the restaurant till 6:15pm when I got there and paid for it. Fine, I can understand. It took 30 minutes to get my food. I left 6:45pm. It was busy I get it. I ordered my sopes no onion and also the menu doesn't provide sizing for some items on their menu. Not only did they still put onions on all 3 of the sopes I ordered but I'll provide photos for the $10 flan and the $4 guacamole, just the guacamole no chips. Not too far away from the Long Beach Convention Center. My friend loved the Enchiladas with carne asada - she said it was like from the ones from her home state of Michoacana. My friend said that the Horchata was authentic tasting. If you have a big party to bring over there, only 4 persons who are allowed to pay with credit card and the rest with cash. This USED to be my go to place, but last night (Monday 1/13) we experienced HORRIBLE services. There was only 1 (ONE) server in the whole restaurant. I am going to make this quick. The food is bomb as hell! I went to the wrong restaurant, but it was the best mistake. I stuck to what I know which was enchiladas w/beans and rice. The food came out fast, it was hot, and tasty. I also had a Pina colada that was of course like juice, and a strawberry margarita on the rocks that really hit the spot. The inside of the restaurant was closed. Outdoor eating was the only thing available. I think there was only 8-10 tables that were separated by 6 feet. Each table sat about 4-5 people each. There were two televisions one playing sports, and the other keeping track of the election. Street parking is almost impossible, but I got lucky. We ordered the Shrimp Diablo and chicken enchiladas. The food was still hot when we got it home 10 minutes later. Food was ready on time- no waiting. This was our first time here- the food was good, and we would go back. They also included chips and salsa. There is also a mystery container- not sure what it is... maybe more sauce or a soup??? I would recommend checking out the menu and order ahead. I noticed about 4-5 tables open due to Covid. Customer service was great. I ordered a shredded chicken burrito with red sauce and two asada tacos. A bit on the pricy side, but the flavors were on point. Juicy and tender meat. If you can make it through the long wait to get seated, the food is very good here and the salsa is delicious. There are some unique touches that make this restaurant memorable. The thick cylinder cups have a pleasant feel to them and the flatware is very nice to hold. I love that they have crispy tacos here. The shells are able to hold all the fillings well and still maintain a good crunch. I had the chicken mole enchiladas for myself and they were tasty. I'm not quite sure if the mole was actually made in house or just from a jar, but is was tasty either way. Like many great restaurants that offer complimentary chips and salsa, you might want to hold back even though they're so delicious. Plates are large and you'll be certainly be half full by the time it comes if you aren't careful. The salsa is also very mild. You'd be hard pressed to find someone that is offended by its heat level. Service is fine although you might have to be patient as staff might get distracted with a few rounds of birthday singing. Came here for a birthday party on a Sunday night around 6 pm! Tip 1: They don't take reservations, so if you have a big party (we had 8 people), I would have at least two or three people go early enough to try to get seats. Tip 2: They don't have a parking lot. It's all street parking. We had to park the next street over. This isn't the nicest location - we passed by homeless people, and there was trash walking to the restaurant. So be careful when walking at night and I wouldn't advise walking alone. Food: Each table received complimentary chips and salsa - their salsa was spicy! But it was so addicting! A few people ordered horchata. I'm not a horchata fan, but I tried some and it tasted like Christmas! The flavor wasn't too sweet and the blast of cinnamon just worked! It was so good I ordered one for myself. I think you get up to three refills for free (but check with your waiter). We got the Queso Fundido con Chorizo to share, which is a bowl of melted cheese with Chorizo, onions, and bell peppers on top. It also comes with flour or corn tortillas. OMG this was AMAZING! This is a meal in itself it was so creamy and went so well with the chorizo and tortillas...I was pulling the cheese off this pan to put in my tacos! As for entree's...I don't know what everyone got, but my friend sitting next to me got their Carne Asada...and boy did it look good! There was a whole green onion on top, and the meat looked super juicy! The beans had lots of cheese on top and she said it tasted great! I got their Tacos Suaves with grilled steak. The meat was just a tad salty to me, but otherwise, put some salsa on it with some guac and it was so good! Service: Good!
