I called for a quote to remove 3 trees in my backyard, a giant palm tree and two weeping ficuses. Omar came out to give me an estimate, he explained the process of removal and recommended that I stump grind all of the trees at once to save money. He did the estimate on Wednesday, and by Saturday morning my trees were no more. His team worked fast, clean and even had their PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)on!!! This company is licensed, bonded, and carries Workmen's Comp. They were so good, I'm bringing them back out this Saturday to clear all the weeds from backyard after all the rain! I made an appointment early this week for this company to come out and spend 2 hours trimming one Carob tree. They scheduled me for 10 am today, Friday before 4th if July week. Twenty minutes before my scheduled appointment they called and canceled saying they were "behind" and that " this happens "all the time" so they wouldn't be coming out at all today and wanted to know if I wanted another "tentative appointment " for sometime next week. I declined since there's quite a number of competent tree services in my area ( Mission Viejo) such as Affordable Tree Service and Reyes Tree Service. Since I had wasted valuable time with rearranging my schedule the least they could have done would have been to call me yesterday since they must have already known by the end of the day they weren't coming first thing this morning. So if you want to waste your valuable time with a company that won't bother to inform you they're not coming on the date and time that they selected then by all Means call these people lol. read more

I hired this company to trim mature trees in my front yard. The owner of the company came and gave me a quote and seemed knowledgeable as to tree trimming. However, the owner does not do the work. He had two young kids who he relies on to do the actual tree trimming. These kids did not use scissors to trim the trees. They used a SAW! They sawed my mature trees in half--vertically! I called to complain, and the receptionist hung up on me. I will never use them again and I do not recommend them. read more

My son had Los Alamitos do some tree trimming in his backyard. While they were there last fall I asked if they would give me an estimate on a palm and maple that I have. Omar came up looked at the trees and gave me a verbal estimate. I told him I'd call after the maple lost its leaves. Called them to access unhealthy tree. Advisor came out and told me I had gophers in the yard and it was causing the tree to die. Easiest $200 they have ever made for 10 minutes of "work". Called pest control and they told me I had so gophers whatsoever. Called them back out to remove the tree since they said I could apply the consultation credit to the service. Not only did they refuse to honor the credit, they tried to charge me $700+ to remove the tree. Seriously?!? Even with the credit, other companies are charging far less for the same service. I called for a quote to fix my sprinkler system as some of my trees look like they are not getting enough water. Noel came to the house with a mask on, was very polite, got straight to work and started pulling dead pieces off of my trees. I said okay what do you suggest on the sprinkler system, he tested each sprinkler individually walked around to look at where they were watering and told me my sprinkler system is great all I needed to do was to clean off those trees and all those dead branches and I should be fine. To go ahead do that wait a couple weeks and if I don't see new growth to give him a call and he will come back out here and give me a very cost-effective estimate on adding some extra sprinklers if needed. Called David at AMDM for a quote to re landscape our backyard after getting a recommendation on nextdoor university. He came over assessed and stated he would give a quote by the following week. He finally got back to us 9 days later after me continuously asking him on the status. No breakdown or official estimate was ever given, just a dollar figure. After texting him and calling him again with that simple request I finally gave up and went with someone else. Granted these landscapers are busy, to not even get an official acknowledgement is unacceptable and compels me to provide this review. Having found my long-standing tree trimmer/remover of 10+ years the same way and being thrilled with his expertise and work, I decided to give Omar a try. My regular guy wanted hundreds of dollars more to do the same job. I read all Omar's reviews on Yelp and checked Omar's license with the state. He provided evidence of insurance. Everything checked out fine . Now for the good part. I could not recommend Omar and his crew highly enough. They arrived promptly on time, even though it is raining today and we thought sure they would cancel. They removed two very large trees, ground the stumps, and cleaned up the all the debris in approximately two hours. An EXCELLENT job!! My only complaint: I think these guys are getting busy. I've used them before, but the last time I had to wait almost a week to get them out to trim palms, remove 4 small trees, and do some serious pruning on a fifth. My understanding is that they group jobs together in a neighborhood to maximize working time and minimize driving. Sometimes you have to wait. But these guys are the real deal when it comes to tree trimming. Forget the pair of guys that knock on your door wanting to trim your trees. Omar and crew rock up in a big truck towing a chipper behind it. They have helmets, climbing gear, ladders, a power stump grinder, and all the other tools and saws to get it done. The best surprise: The price was lower than the two guys in the truck going door-to-door. Unless it's a short-fuse job, these are the people I will call every time. read more

Gave these guys a call from a flyer they left on my doorstep. So glad I went with them. I've got a decent sized yard with about 25 trees. We've got everything from palm trees, magnolia's, and ash trees. They trimmed about 20 of them and we had them remove 3 along with a few stumps left behind from smaller ones we removed ourselves. It took them about a day and half but the trees look great. We have much more light in our back yard now. All of the guys that came out were friendly and very courteous. They also picked up after themselves which it seems is not usually the case with most contractors. Cleaned up all the tree debris and trimmings. Can't say that I've got any complaints. I've already told a few friends to give them a call when they need their trees done. I know I'll be calling them again next year. read more

If I Could rate them a zero stars, I would. As I write this review, the company I had to hire to redo the sprinkler system is basically replacing the entire system. Apparently even when we pointed out the leaking valves, Omar and his crew couldn't fix it with two trips. The sprinklers were watering everything but our new sod. These guys are amazing! We had 2 huge Brazilian Pepper trees, 30' queen palms and some ficus trees that had not been trimmed in over 5 years. To add to all this, we have a ton breakable yard art. We contacted the company and they were responsive and scheduled the tree removal for a few days later. They promised to remove the tree and grind the stump down eighteen inches. We were thrilled and the removal of the tree itself went fine and promptly. The stump removal people came and used a machine around the stump and it looked like they were doing what they promised. Alas, two weeks later when our landscapers came to prepare the soil they removed one inch of soil and the entire stump was there. They are spending hours removing the stump that should have been removed by those who said they would. When we called the company we were told we could schedule stump removal with them in a week. But we just discovered the stump that was not removed and our landscapers are here now. We asked for a partial refund since they only did part of the job and they said, "we don't do that." Never again! First let me start off by saying when they work, they work! Their work is good and they know their trees, that's when they finally show up (IF they do). This is the 3rd and final time I try and schedule with them! I took a day off from work to get my trees trimmed and have work done. I called them Monday, the lady on the other line ran my info and confirmed my address. She said they would be here today on Friday between 11am-12 noon. I called this morning to confirm they did not have me on the schedule, then the lady said she'd call me back. Shocker! No call back! So I called she said they'd be here around 11am-12 noon. 12:30 nothing I call no answer. 1 pm still nothing I call to my surprise and amazement no answer! This is the third time this has happened!
